You finished your finals with flying colors. Your freshman year was officially over, and you were free for summer break. That called for another celebration, and another big barbeque party was held.

After the big feast, the aliens gathered in front of the television to watch ‘Men in Black’.

You had watched that at least ten times and didn’t want to watch it again. So instead, you decided to go walk off the extra ten pounds you had eaten earlier. You changed into warm clothes and came out of your room. You halted as Baekhyun came out of his room also.

“Are you going somewhere, Star?” He asked.

You nodded, “I’m going to go for a walk.”

His eyes rounded in surprise, “You’re not going to watch the movie with us?”

You shook your head, “I already watched it so many times that I practically memorized the script. See you later.” You gave a little wave and walked past him.

“Okay…later.” Something like disappointment crossed his face.

You noticed that and stopped. *Hmm…I wonder…* Slowly, you turned around, “Baekhyun?” He looked up at your voice. “…Would you like to come with me?” You shyly asked. Instantly, a bright smile appeared on his face. “I would love to, Star.”

The two of you crept downstairs. You put a finger to your lips and Baekhyun nodded. Quietly, you opened the door.

“Where are you going?” Kai asked.

You shut your eyes. *Darn brotherly instincts.* You turned around with a fabricated smile that you hoped seemed innocent. “We’re going out for a walk!”

“We?” Kai turned his head and saw Baekhyun by your side. “Oh. Okay.” He looked back to the screen.

“Buy ice cream!” Sehun waved.

“You have legs. Go buy it yourself.” You opened the door and left.

Baekhyun was about to leave but Kai called, “I trust you not to try any funny things on her, Baekhyun.” He turned his head and looked straight at Baekhyun, “And I will know if you do.”

Baekhyun couldn’t help but swallow hard. “I- I’ll keep that in mind.”

Kai smirked, “Great.”

Baekhyun waved and left. Once out of Kai’s sight, he exhaled in relief. *He’s really taking this ‘big brother’ thing so seriously.* Baekhyun went to catch up with you.

You stretched your arms, “I’m so full. I think I hate half of the meat on the table tonight.”

Baekhyun chuckled and shook his head, “Impossible. If anyone should have a stomach ache right now, it should be Tao.”

You laughed, “You’re right. I never knew anyone could eat more than me. Pfft. There goes my title as eating champion.”

Baekhyun laughed along. *Funny Star. I’m glad she’s back to her old self.* He took your swinging hand. You stopped moving your hand back and forth and looked at him in mild surprise. Baekhyun slipped his hand through yours. His warmness coursed throughout your entire body and made you feel more alive than ever.

Baekhyun gave you a sweet smile. “You don’t mind if I hold your hand, do you, Star?”

“You’re supposed to ask that before you take my hand.” You chuckled.

“Oops. My apology.” He tried to take his hand away, but you quickly held on. “I didn’t say I didn’t want you to!” Your cheeks burned brightly.

Baekhyun chuckled, “So I can hold your hand.” You smiled and nodded. Baekhyun smiled and weaved his fingers through yours.

Once again, you couldn’t help but feel as if his hand was a puzzle piece made just to fit yours. They molded together perfectly. You felt secure just by holding his hand like this. Swinging hands, the two of you walked around the neighborhood.

“How are things going with Kai?” Baekhyun asked.

You beamed, “Great. He’s really getting used to the idea of being my brother…” A slight frown appeared on your face, “Sometimes…I think he’s getting TOO used to it.”

Baekhyun laughed, “I noticed. He subtly threatened me before I left the house.”

You sighed, “That overprotective oaf.”

“At least he’s back now, right?” Baekhyun smiled.

You smiled and nodded in agreement, “Yeah. I’m happy that he’s happy. Oh!” Your eyes rounded and shined in excitement, “A playground!” You let go of Baekhyun’s hand and ran over. You climbed up the bars while laughing like a little kid. Baekhyun put his hands in his pockets and watched you go down the slide with a smile of content on his face. *And I’m happy that you’re happy, Star.*

“Oof!” You landed at the bottom of the slide and bonked your head on the top.

Baekhyun’s face fell, and he jolted forwards instinctively.

Laughing sheepishly, you rubbed your head, “I’m getting too big for that now.”

Baekhyun sighed in relief and smiled with a shake of his head.

You hopped onto one side of the playground and reached out. Your fingers curled around the metal monkey bar. You swung foreword and grabbed the next bar with your other hand. “I used to be really good at this. My elementary friends used to call me a monkey- WAA!” You lost your grip and sailed downwards. You expected to land on the rough sand, but instead, you landed in Baekhyun’s arms. He had caught you around your waist before you could fall. You blushed deeply. *Clumsy me!*
