L.Joe glanced at his phone.

12:37 PM, it read.

He cupped his face with his hands. Angry tears were starting to form in his eyes. He couldn’t believe it. She stood him up... again.

“Forget this.” He mumbled as he stood up with a heart charm necklace in his hands. L.Joe waved his hand from his table, to get a worker’s attention so he could just pay the bill already and leave the place where he had met Seo Rin for the first time.

He started to make his way towards her apartment, which she shared with her best friend Ji Eun. As he walked towards her place, countless thoughts were running through his mind like wildfire.

She forgot about our date again. How could she… She even said that she didn’t have any other plans too. Goodness L.Joe. Pull it together man. It’s just 2nd time she forgot, it’s probably just an accident…

Ha, sike. Heh, I wonder if I’m making facial expressions while talking to myself in my mind. I probably look stupid.

Suddenly, screaming was heard and police cars zoomed past L.Joe, creating wind to ruin his hair. L.Joe squint his eyes so dust wouldn’t get into his eyes and to get a better look at the scene. He started walking towards the crowd of people who were circling a certain something.

“Back up please.” A police officer said as she started to push a crowd of people to back away from the accident that L.Joe couldn’t see yet.

“Why should we?” a girl asked as she chewed her bubble gum. The girl blew the bubble but the police officer popped it with the edge of her handcuffs.

“I’m the police, miss.” The officer said and the bubble gum girl shrugged and backed up as directed by the officer.

“She’s dead.” Someone whispered.

“I don’t know her but… I hope she rests in paradise.” Somebody said.

As L.Joe got closer and closer to the scene, a drop of blood appeared. Car accident, he thought. Suddenly, he jumped back, his hand holding tighter at the necklace in his hand. It can’t be…

“Yes, Jung Seo Rin is reported dead.” One of the officers reported into their walky talky and tears started to fall onto the ground at where L.Joe was standing. She was gone.
