Later that day, when Jessica had slowly regain consciousness, she was a little shock in the first place.
Lying back on her bed, there was a guy sitting by her bedside, looking through her past records.

"Dugu..seyo..?" asked Jessica politely

"Oh you're up"
"Anyeonghaeseyo Jessica-sshi"
"Kim Jaejong imnida"
"Im your new doctor" said Jaejong politely

"New.. doctor..?"

"Hey Sooyeon.."
"You're awake?" said Mr Jung as he stepped into Jessica's bedroom
"I've got you another doctor" smiled Mr Jung
"How you feeling now?"
"Appa was so worried just now"

"Bianeh appa..."
"Im.. fine.. already.."

Jessica's POV

Im fine..
Its just that my heart's torn inside out,
physically&mentally.
But im breathing, so im fine i guess.

"Jessica-sshi"
"I need to perform some test for you before i could give you any type of treatment or medications" informed Jaejong
"I hope you can cooperate with me"

"Yup Sooyeon"
"Listen to him okay?" said Mr Jung worriedly
"He'll make you feel better"

"Neh.. appa.." replied Jessica softy

She knew its gonna be another down part of her life.
Or probably the last part of her life?
Going through all those horrible tests&treatments..

After she agreed to it, Jaejong immediately got the machines out from the crowd.
Instead of using the echocardiogram, he got another one instead.
The one Yuri used on Jessica before she went for the surgery.
Looking at it made Jessica cringed a little.
Closing her eyes, awaiting the discomfort to come.
Soon enough, the discomfort came, all the way down her eosphagus.

Bearing through the discomfortness while her tears rolled down her face,
but the thoughts of Yuri kept her going.
After around 15minutes, Jaejong removed the transducer from Jessica&made her lie back down.

"Jessica-sshi"
"Your throat will feel really sore after this"
"I'll give you some throat candies for it but i dont know if it works for you"
"It works for some patient of mine&doesnt work for some" informed Jaejong
"I'll bring your report back to the hospital before telling you anything okay?" smiled Jaejong as he stood up from his seat, clearing the equipment etc.

Jessica's POV

You know Yul..
I really hope i can live long with you..
I dont understand why my life is like this..
Im sorry that i left you..
But i'll take this chance&try recover or maybe try my luck to see if im able to get a heart transplant before my time is up..

End of Jessica's POV

Jaejong who left Jessica's room went to look for Mr Jung to discuss about Jessica's condition with him.
Mr Jung who was sitting at the living room, reading through his ipad when Jaejong approached him.

"Mr Jung" greeted Jaejong

"Oh, you're back here"
"So how's Sooyeon after the test?" asked Mr Jung as he faced Jaejong

"Im here to tell you about it Mr Jung"
"Jessica-sshi's heart is in a really bad condition"
"She cant afford to have another heartvalve surgery after going through 3 times"
"The 4th time, opening up her chest is really risky that she might not even make it out of the surgery theatre" said Jaejong sadly

"Then?"
"Are you telling me to wait for her time to be up?!" asked Mr Jung a little mad

"Im not Mr Jung"
"Relax, i'll assign her treatments every week"
"And i'll go back to the hospital&put her as the urgent patients who needs heart transplant urgently"
"This is the most i can do"
"The rest, it'll seriously have to depend on herself Mr Jung"
"Medicine are not everything, it has its own limitations too" explained Jaejong

"I really.. cant lose her Dr.Kim.."
"She's really precious to me"
"I almost lost her the other time, i cant afford to lose her again" sighed Mr Jung sadly
"Can you please try your best?"

"Of course i will"
"Dont worry about it Mr Jung" said Jaejong assuringly
"Doing my best is my forte"

"I hope so.."

The next day, over at Yuri's side, Yuri was already up, preparing for work.

"Yuri, are you sure you're going back to work?"
"Your fever had just gone down last night" said Mrs Kwon worriedly

"Ani, im fine omma"
"Dont worry"
"I have to find something to divert my attention" said Yuri sadly

"Araesso.." was all Mrs Kwon could say after hearing what Yuri said.
"But dont overwork yourself okay?"
"Omma's heart will ache if i see my daughter overworking herself"

"Araesso omma"
"Then i'll be leaving for the hospital" said Yuri with a weak smile

On the way to the hospital, Yuri tried to keep Jessica out of her mind but she couldnt.
She was partially mad at Jessica, for being so mean to her.
Leaving her so fast, not leaving anything or message for her.
Whats more, leaving only worries for her.

Yuri's POV

You know very well i cant forget you Sica.
We already overcame so much obstacles in our life.
Why now give this up?
Only then will it make us stronger.
I've been waiting&calling you last night, but to no avail.

Do you really want to give me up Sica?
Its only a day now.
I'll call, look for you till the day i think i should give you up.
But please god, dont ever give me a reason to do that.

End of Yuri's POV

At the hospital, Yuri started working very hard at the cardiological department,
taking up all the available shifts so that she wont spend all her time missing Jessica,
thinking of her.
However, during Yuri's free time she would always stay in the library of the hospital,
reading up books on the human heart.
Trying to figure out if there's a perfect way to heal Jessica.
But on somedays, Yuri would feel that is it even necessary because even if she had found out the way or can have a way to make Jessica feel better, will she be able to do it for Jessica?
Because Jessica would probably not appear in her life anymore.

While Yuri was doing her usual rounds with her nurses,
the nurses were really close to Yuri since they were Yuri's personal group of nurses.
In the hospital, every doctor were assigned to two nurses to help them out.

"Dr.Kwon"
"Do you wanna join us for dinner later?" asked Sooyoung as she was taking the temperature of a patient

"Yup"
"You've been working really hard ever since we saw you" added YoonA with a disgusted face as she took up the urinal bottle from the patient's bedside.

Looking at that, Yuri smiled a little&took it over from YoonA.

"Here, i'll take that" smiled Yuri a little
"As for the dinner, i'll think about it"
"I've night shift later on" said Yuri as she walked into the toilet.

While Yuri was emptying the urinal bottle, Sooyoung went over to YoonA&gave a her a smack on her head.

"YAH!"
"She's a doctor, how could you let her do your chores?" scolded Sooyoung disapprovingly

"She took it on her own unnie!" pouted YoonA cutely

"So?"
"You should have declined it nicely&do it on your own"
"Plus, look who lost the bet"
"Who said the person who win the bet just now would do all the dirty work"
"Like changing of the patient's urinal bottle, diapers or those who soiled the bed, bottoms or bedsheets" said Sooyoung with her tongue out.

"You bully me unnie!"
"You played cheat thats why!" whined YoonA

"Here, stop fooling around already YoonA&Sooyoung"
"Put this back for the patient&go on to the next one" instructed Yuri as she wrote something on the patient's record board before leaving for the next one.

While doing their rounds, YoonA&Sooyoung was always asking Yuri to go for the dinner with them during the evening today.
After much persuation, Yuri finally agreed which made YoonA&Sooyoung really happy about it.

"Yes!"
"Dr.Kwon's going out for dinner with us!" cheered YoonA happily as she plopped herself on the couch that was inside the resting room for the staff during their break.

"Why are you so happy about it?" asked Sooyoung curiously as she stuffed with a piece of pandan chiffon cake

"Well, because every other nurses here had their dinner with their doctor they are following"
"We dont even have one"
"Other nurses have been saying that our doctor hates us thats why"
"But Dr.Kwon dont hate us at all!" protested YoonA
"She's so good to us but a little introverted"
"Its like she keeps things to herself!"
"Its been months since she first came here but she's still like that" said YoonA with a frown

"Why poke your nose into Dr.Kwon's business?"
"Just take care of yours shikshin Im"

"Shikshin Im?!"
"Am i hearing things?!"
"If im shikshin Im, what are you?!"
"Shikshin Choi?!"
"I only eat more rice while you?"
"EVERYTHING!" exasperated YoonA in disbelief as she grabbed on her own head, a little dramatic.

"Cut your drama Yoon"
"You're making a fool out of yourself" laughed Sooyoung as she spinned herself with the chair she's sitting on.
"Fine, the both of us are shikshin okay?"

"Fine!" said YoonA with crossed arms
"Well, where should we go for dinner later?"

"Ask Dr.Kwon"
"Afterall, she's your VIP" said Sooyoung sacarstically

"Hey stop it unnie"
"Im just being nice okay?"

"Okayokay"
"Nice shikshin Im"
"Get going&ask" said Sooyoung as she pushed YoonA out of the room.

Yuri's side

"Sica.."
"It beens months since you left me.."
"How are you doing?"
"Have you recovered..?" whispered Yuri with a tear landing onto the photoframe Yuri was staring at.
"Im working hard to find a better solution for you Sica.."
"Just wait okay..?"

*KNOCK KNOCK*

"Come in" said Yuri as she quickly wiped her teary eyes&kept the photoframe in her drawers.
"Whats the matter YoonA?"

"Oh Dr.Kwon"
"Regarding the dinner tonight, where do you want to eat?"
"Or what do you want to eat?" asked YoonA awkwardly

"You can decide it with Sooyoung"
"Just go ahead with whatever you girls wanna eat"
"It'll be my treat" smiled Yuri assuringly
"Dont worry about the price too"

"JINJJA?!"
"OMO!!!" exclaimed YoonA
"THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!!!"
"THE OTHER NURSES ARE GONNA BE JEALOUS!" chuckled YoonA happily

"Why?" asked Yuri

"Because their own doctors brought them out for dinner"
"Cheap dinner, thats what they described it as" giggled YoonA
"Im going back to tell unnie now"
"She'll be so happy too!"
"Kamshahamnida Dr.Kwon"
"I'll tell you the time&venue later during our next rounds" smiled YoonA happily as she bowed&walked out of the room.

"Chodings are still chodings" said Yuri with a slight smile as she turned her attention back to the photoframe that was hidden in her drawer.
"I missed you so much Sica.."
"Where are you.. now..?"
"Cant you at.. least let me.. contact you..?"

Jessica's side

Outside Jessica's room, sounds of her throwing up was heard vividly.
Throwing up&throwing up, emptying all her stomach contents all the time during the treatment Dr.Kim had given her.
Although it was given once a week, but the side effects lasted like for three days.
So basically, majority of the week, Jessica's been throwing up even though there's nothing much left in her stomach.

Sometimes, at night, Jessica would just sob to herself bitterly after going through everything.
In the past, although she's feeling so weak&miserable, Yuri would be by her side to accompany her.
But now, there's no one there for her except for butler lee&Mr Jung.

Dr.Kim only come by during the day for treatment&after it had ended.
Of course, also during her times where she had to get her regular checkup to monitor her progress.
For months, although Jessica's condition did worsen, but its not too much so its pretty much still okay.

After throwing up everything, Jessica laid back down on her bed totally exhausted.
Few minutes later, Mr Jung walked into the room with Tiifany&Taeyeon behind him.

"How are you feeling today Sooyeon?" asked Mr Jung as he sat on Jessica's bed.
"I've brought Taeyeon&Tiffany here for you"
"I thougtht they might be able to cheer you up"

"Im.. fine.. appa.."
"Thanks.." smiled Jessica weakly

"I'll leave you girls to talk then" smiled Mr Jung a little but sadness could be seen in his eyes despite the smile he worn on his face as he left the room, closing the door behind him.

As soon as Mr Jung left, Taeyeon&Tiffany immediately sat themselves each other the side of Jessica's bed with a worried look.

"Sica!"
"How come you didnt tell us you're sick!" said Taeyeon with an offended look

"Yeah Jessi"
"Arent we friends?" added Tiffany
"And where's Yuri?"
"Should she be with you?" asked Tiffany not knowing what had happened to the both of them.

"Bian..eh.."
"Yul.. i broke up.. with her.."
"I didnt.. you know.."
"My heart.. has got.. problem again.."
"My only last.. hope is a... heart transplant.."
"You all know its.. hard.." said Jessica softly so her chest wont hurt that much.
"I just.. want to.. let Yuri.. find someone.. better than.. me.."

"WHAT?!"
"OH.MY.GOD." commented Tiffany in disbelief

"When did all these happen Sica?"
"You should told us, we could be by your side"
"Its so hard going through all these alone right?"

"Yeah, look at you"
"You've lost so much weight"
"Look so pale now"

"Thanks girls.."
"Really.. appreciate.. your concern.." smiled Jessica weakly
"I've lost hope to.."
"I think.. im just.. waiting for my.. time to be.. up.."

"Dont say this Jessi!"
"You wont!" scolded Tiffany angrily

"Dont let all these affect your thinking"
"Think positive!"

"I cant.."
"I've lost all my.. positivenes.."
"To all these.." said Jessica as she slowly pointed to her infus&the bags that were hung to it.

"Aww.."
"I know its hard.."
"But dont give up Jessi"
"We'll be here for you although i know we cant replace Yuri"

"Yup, we'll be here for you"
"Although our presence is not as strong as Yuri's" smiled Taeyeon assuringly
"Anything you need as of now?"

Jessica pondered over it for a few minutes&turned back to Taeyeon&Tiffany.

"Can you.. help me.."
"To like.. check up.. on Yul..?"
"I want to see how.. is she doing.. without me.."
"But dont.. let her know.. about me.." said Jessica

"That?"
"Consider it done" winked Tiffany cheekily
"I'll look for her later after my dinner with Taeyeon"

"Gom..awo.."
"Really.. cant thank.. you enough.." said Jessica with a slight bow.

"Hey dont"
"We dont need to bow to each other"
"We're friends" said Taeyeon as she slightly pushed Jessica back up to lean on her bed.

"Just get well"
"Thats what you can do to thank us" added Tiffany
"You dont need to do anything but get well for us"

"Thats right Sica"
"All you have to do to repay us is to get well!"

"Get well..?"
"I think i'll have.. to say sorry.."
"I cant repay it.."

"There you go again!"
"Jessica Jung Sooyeon!" shouted Tiffany
"Stop saying these discouraging words!"
"You'll get well!"

"Yeah Sica"
"If you're going to continue like this, we're going to tell Yuri about you" threatened Taeyeon with an evil smirk.

"NO!" shouted Jessica which earned herself a strong painful coughing fit.

Tiffany&Taeyeon immediately patted Jessica's back, hoping to ease her coughing fit a little.

"Dont.. tell.."
"Please.." begged Jessica weakly with tears in her eyes
"I dont want.. Yul to see.. me like this.."
"She cant.. i want her to.. forget me.."
"And be happy.."
"She might probably hate.. me too.."
"For ditching her.." said Jessica sadly

"You know"
"There's never a sorry word in a true love"
"True love doesnt need to apologise in anything"
"Their heart will understand each other Jessi"

"Yup, im sure Yuri will understand you too"
"Dont worry, just rest okay?"
"We promise we wont tell&go get news of Yuri for you"

"Thanks.." said Jessica as she closed her eyes slowly&let fatique take over her.

As Taeyeon&Tiffany was strolling the the evening streets of Korea,
they were chatting about Yuri&Jessica, how pathetic the couple were.
Loving each other but got separated in the end even though they went through so many things happened.

"Taetae, dont you think Yuri&Jessi is going through too much?" asked Tiffany as she held onto Taeyeon's hands.

"I know.."
"I think so too of course.."
"Do you think we should do something to help them?"

"I want to Taetae"
"But i just cant figure out what to do"

"Same here" sighed Taeyeon
"Omo!"
"Lets eat here!!" said Taeyeon excitedly as she pointed to a barbeque store
"Its been a long time since i had barbeque beef!"

"Araesso"
"As you wish Taetae"
"Lets go" smiled Tiffany as she walked into the shop with Taeyeon.

After eating for around 30minutes, Taeyeon saw a familiar figure coming into the shop together with two other girls.

"Hey Tiff"
"Isnt it Yuri?" whispered Taeyeon

Tiffany turned to her back for her second&turned back almost immediately.

"Omo"
"Its really her!!"
