"Omona!" gasped Taeyeon&Tiffany with eyes wide open

After Yuri broke the kiss, she turned to Taeyeon&Tiffany.

"She's my girlfriend"
"Cant i kiss her?" asked Yuri annoyed as she put back the oxygen mask over Jessica's face

"Yu..ri.."
"Just.. for to..day.. can i.. not.. put this.. thing.. on..?" asked Jessica in between gasps
"Please..?"
"My birth..day.. wish..?"

"What birthday wish Jessica?"
"You havent even blow your candles!" joked Tiffany cheekily

"Now that you've said it out, i doubt it will come true" added Taeyeon who joined in the fun with Tiffany, teasing Jessica

"Please..?" begged Jessica with her cute puppy eyes

"Sica.."
"You're putting me in a difficult position.." started Yuri

"Yeah, Sooyeon"
"Just leave it on, its better for you" agreed Mr Jung

"Yes dear"
"It'll probably be good for you" smiled Mrs Kwon

"Erm excuse me?" said Tiffany which earned weird looks from everyone
"May i ask.."
"What exactly is wrong with Jessica..?"

"Oh, yeah"
"I would also like to know" added Taeyeon
"Months ago she was fine when we met her"
"Why is she here now..?"

This made everyone fell into silence.
The happy atmosphere dropped to the depressed one right immediately after the two asked this question.

"Er.."
"Did we.. say something wrong..?" asked Tiffany awkwardly, breaking the silence

"Well.." started Jessica as she started removing her oxygen mask slowly

"Stop, dont take it off you" commanded Nickhun disapprovingly as he stepped into the room.
"You're one disobedient patient.." sighed Nickhun as he went over to position her oxygen mask properly
"I dont want you to get any attacks due to the lack of oxygen"
"Well, let me complete her sentence for her"
"Jessica was never well at all, even months before you saw her"
"Its just that her condition worsened rapidly within the months thats why"
"She was diagnosed with a damaged heart valve ever since she was 7"
"Went through 2 major heart surgeries, now waiting for the 3rd.."
"Actually it shouldnt be so serious but due to some reasons.."
"It turned out this way.."

Hearing the last few sentences, Mr Jung cringed a little at it.
Its probably guilt thats doing the mischief.

"Oh.." was all Taeyeon&Tiffany could manage out.

The both of them was actually shocked on what they've heard.
They couldnt believe that Jessica was actually so sick.

"Hey.."
"Come.. on.."
"Its my birth..day.. remem..ber..?" said Jessica, trying to bring up the atmosphere
"Its.. not as if.. im going to.. die or something.."

"YAH!"
"Dont say anything about dying!" exclaimed Yuri angrily
"Im not gonna let you die!"
"If you die, im going with you!"

"Same here" commented Nickhun seriously
"As in im not gonna let you die"
"Not dying with you" joked Nickhun playfully

"Sooyeon, appa will do my best to get you the best treatment you can get"
"Appa will cure you" added Mr Jung whose guilt is already killing him alive

"I..was.. just.. saying.."
"Why.. so se..rious..?"

"BECAUSE ITS NOT FUNNY!"
"NOT SUITABLE TO BE USED AS JOKES OR ANY OTHER STUPID COMMENTS!" shouted Yuri

Yuri couldnt imagine days without Jessica beside her,
accompanying her for meals, competitions, chatting with her almost 24/7.
Yuri just couldnt&didnt want to imagine it.

"Relax, Yul"
"I'll make Jessica feel better"
"Im sure of it" smiled Nickhun assuringly

"Yeah!"
"You'll get well Jessica"
"With this handsome looking doctor here!" joked Tiffany as she hugged Jessica

"YAH!" whacked Taeyeon
"What handsome looking doctor?!"
"If you think he's handsome, then why are you with me?!"

"Because he didnt appear in my life earlier than you!" joked Tiffany playfully

"Oh is it?"
"Fine, now that he appeared, you can continue with him"
"Im leaving!" threatened Taeyeon as she turned around

"Aww~"
"Taengoo~"
"Dont be like this~"
"You know im kidding right~" cooed Tiffany as she gave Taeyeon a back hug

"Nope"
"I dont know" said Taeyeon coldly, pretending to be mad at Tiffany

"Hahas"
"Anyway, Happy Birthday Jessica" smiled Nickhun as he handed a bag to her
"Well, get well soon"

"Go..ma..wo.." smiled Jessica weakly
"Cheong..mal.. bi..yaneh.."
"Im.. feeling.. a little.. tired.."
"Can i.. like.. take a.. short.. nap..?"
"While.. you guys.. have fun here..?"
"Dont.. worry.. i'll wake.. up.." joked Jessica which earned deadly stares from almost everyone from the room

"YAH!"

"Arae..sso.."
"Arae..sso.."
"Dont.. be mad.. at me.." sighed Jessica as she laid down on the bed slowly with Yuri's help

Sigh..
Now i cant even joke around..
Everyone's so serious..
This is life, its just my fate&destiny whether if i'll live through this..

While Jessica was asleep, everyone sat in the room,
eating the birthday cake that was bought for Jessica.
Wanting to leave a piece for her, but Nickhun said Jessica wasnt supposed to eat junk food like this.
It will complicate matters which ended up throwing it away.

"Nickhun-sshi" started Mr Jung

"Neh Mr Jung?"

"How confident are you?"
"To complete this surgery with success..?"

"Hmm..?"
"Pretty confident as long as there's no complications"
"Complications as in, before the surgery"
"Jessica should be well taken care of"
"She shouldnt be having any coughs, fever or any other unhealthy signs" explained Nickhun seriously
"And, dont expect full recovery after surgery"
"Its just that she'll get better, but if she overwork herself again, its gonna be 10 times worse than now"

"Omo"
"Jessica's condition is actually so serious?" asked Taeyeon shocked

"She must be in real pain.." added Tiffany sadly

"Yup, its that serious"
"And yeah, she's in pain" replied Yuri as she shook her head
"Now, im sure"
"Even if she didnt say anything"
"Breathing in&out already made her chest hurt"
"So whats more about talking so much just now" explained Yuri

"Yup"
"Yuri's right"
"Thats why i said dont exhaust Jessica out"
"Its just doing her no good" further explained Nickhun

"But, i think Jessica's plain lucky"
"To have such two wonderful doctors around her"
"I wish i was like her!" said Taeyeon

"YAH!"
"Dont!"
"TAETAE! if you were to be like her"
"I would have been heartbroken to death" said Tiffany, on the verge of tears

"Aww~"
"I was just saying"
"Arent you cute~?" said Taeyeon as she pinched Tiffany's chubby cheeks

How i wish Jessica&I were like them...
Sica to be so healthy&all..

"To continue from where i've stopped"
"After the surgery, i hope she wont overwork herself&get her regular treatment"
"Dont miss it, i'll discuss her treatment with Yuri"
"So its not decided yet, but it will be after the surgery because we'll have to monitor her condition" said Nickhun

"Oh, so i take it as Sooyeon will recover?" asked Mr Jung

"Thats what i'll be expecting" replied Nickhun

Sooyeon will recover..?
Thats good.
Then i wouldnt have to feel so guilty afterall..
Causing her to be in this plight.

"Its been hard on you, Nickhun-sshi" smiled Mr Jung as he patted Nickhun's shoulder

"Gotta go for the usual rounds around the ward"
"See you guys later" smiled Nickhun as he exited the room

Following behind was Yuri.

"Oppa!" called Yuri

"Hmm..?" replied Nickhun as he turned to Yuri

"Can i talk to you for a few minutes?"

"Of course you can"
"So whats up?" winked Nickhun playfully as he fiddled around with his stethoscope

"Well.."
"Sica.. You're sure you're confident on this surgery?"

"Of course, why would i lie?"

"Oh.."
"I was just double checking.."
"Thanks oppa"

"Sure.."
"Anytime.." replied Nickhun, slightly disappointed as he turned to walk away

Yuri-ah..
Jessica's your everything..
I know i cant bring you happiness..
So of course, i'll heal your "happiness"&make you happy..
I know you're worried, if everyone of you are constantly asking me about this..
Its gonna stress me out, then im not sure if the surgery will turn out successfully not..

1 week later, in Jessica's ward, everyone was crowding around Jessica's bed.
Including Taeyeon&Tiffany.
Eversince Taeyeon&Tiffany got to know what exactly is going on with Jessica,
they came by to visit whenever they were free.

"Jessica"
"How're you feeling now?" asked Nickhun as he flipped through the clipboard of papers

"Fine..?"

"Good"
"You know your surgery is today right..?"
"In a few hours time"

"Yup.." nodded Jessica slightly

"Okay, later there will be a few nurses here to perform some checks for you"
"Its a pre-checkup for the surgery later"
"To ensure everything is well before we proceed"
"Dont worry, its nothing painful, tiring or whatsoever"
"Just the basics, we dont want to tire you out too" smiled Nickhun as he placed the clipboard back to the end of Jessica's bed

"Arae..sso.."

"If everything's okay, i'll be leaving"
"Will be back in a few hours time for your surgery"
"Dont worry, everything will turn out fine" added Nickhun as he turned for the door

Right after Nickhun left, Yuri immediately sat on Jessica's bed.

"Kwenchaena?"
"Nervous?" asked Yuri worriedly as she brushed Jessica's fringe away with so much care&love in her eyes

"Ani.."
"Its.. also.. not my.. first time.." smiled Jessica weakly

"Dont worry Jessica!"
"You're so strong!" said Taeyeon dorkily, posing a muscular pose to alleviate the tense atmosphere

"YAH!"
"Byuntae! You're freaking Jessica out like this!" said Tiffany which earned soft giggles from Jessica

"Liar~"
"Look, she's giggling!"
"Come on, she love my jokes"
"Not like you, cant even appreciate my jokes!" huffed Taeyeon as she crossed her arms&sat down on a chair nearby

"Its just not funny to me!" protested Tiffany
"Thats unfair!"

"Nothing's fair or unfair!"
"Just say it, you hate my jokes" said Taeyeon bluntly

"Alright alright"
"Stop quarrelling infront of my Sica"
"Its gonna tire her out" said Yuri protectively

"Well, we're going out to get some drinks" said Mr Jung&Mrs Kwon as they headed for the door

They couldnt stand seeing those two childish girls' meaningless bickering.
Plus, they were a little worried about the upcoming surgery too.
Mr Jung's more at ease since he was assured by Nickhun's about the success.
As Nickhun's assurance were made to Mr Jung, he seemed to be more relaxed&relaxed about Jessica's surgery.

"Bianeh!" apologised the dorky couple cutely with a few chuckles

"Kwen..chae..na.." smiled Jessica

Jessica love the presence of the couple, its always making her feel better.
She hated the white, plain hospital ward that she's in.
Even though she's in it only for less than a month, but she's already so sick of it.
Jessica wanted to go out to the garden for a walk, but was refused by Yuri.
Yuri was really being very protective&concerned for Jessica's health.
But which in turned to Jessica feeling that Yuri's being overprotective of her.
Nevertheless, Jessica love this side of Yuri.

"Sica, are you tired?"
"Do you want to rest first?"
"We can go out if you want to" asked Yuri concernly

"Yup, i think we have to go too" added Taeyeon&Tiffany
"We'll be back when you wakes up after your surgery" winked Taeyeon&Tiffany as they left the room

"Dont miss us too much!" shouted Tiffany outside the ward

"Sica.."
"Dont worry too much"
"I'll be there in the surgery room with Nickhun oppa too"
"Everything will turn out fine okay?" smiled Yuri, trying to assure Jessica's insecure heart.

Although Jessica's been saying she's fine,
she's not nervous nor scared,
but deep down inside, she's scared.
She was afraid that she might just die on the operating table,
not even given a chance to bid Yuri goodbye.
Or even Mr Jung who had just given her her long-awaited parental love.
Although it was a single sided one.

"Arae..sso.."
"I believe in.. my.. Yuri.." said Jessica sweetly
"I believe.. you'll make.. me better.."
"Like promised.."
"Wait.."

"Hmm..?"

"What.. happened.. to.. Donghae..already..?" asked Jessica suddenly

"Oh, that jerk" cursed Yuri immediately

"Dont.."

"He's on the news these few days" said Yuri as she switched on the TV
"Just watch"

"THE ONLY SON OF LEE HOLDINGS WERE ARRESTED BY THE POLICE ONE WEEK AGO"
"HE WAS FOUND INJURING THE DAUGHTER OF SM SPORTS"
"AND NOW HAS BEEN BROUGHT UP TO THE COURT"
"VERDICT WAS ANNOUNCED THAT LEE DONGHAE WOULD BE SENT TO THE INSTITUTE OF MENTAL HEALTH"
"LEE DONGHAE SUFFERED A MENTAL BREAKDOWN AFTER THE WHOLE INCIDENT BETWEEN THE JUNG FAMILY"
"REASONS ARE STILL UNKNOWN, BUT PUBLIC HAS BEEN RUMOURING THAT ITS MORE OR LESS ABOUT THE MONEY OF THE JUNGS FAMILY THE LEES ARE EYEING AT"

"Im that bad to have to be love by you..?"
"Through kindness somemore?"

"Ani.."
"Kidding.. kidding.."
"Dont.. be offended.." pouted Jessica cutely

"I know you were just pulling my leg"
"How could i get mad at a cutie like you?!" said Yuri as she pinched Jessica's pale cheeks lightly

"Ouch.." squeaked Jessica

"Hey, it wasnt that hard okay!"
"It was already my slightest strength!" protested Yuri innocently

"Manyul.." muttered Jessica under her breath

"What did you say..?!" asked Yuri who had exceptional sharp ears

"Noth..ing.."

"I HEARD YOU SAID MANYUL!"
"OMONA!" gasped Yuri with her hands covering in shock
