"He looks really cute!" Riyeon, my best friend who is still fangirling beside me, squealed.

"I don't care if he looks cute or what." I rolled my eyes. This guy has been the 16th guy who made Riyeon's eyes sparkle, and it's the second week of school. "And he looks really.. cold." I peeked at him who is sitting in the farthest corner of the room.

"So what? I can warm his personality by the end of the year." Riyeon said confidently. Ugh, this girl. But that 'cute' thing is totally a fact. He's really cute. If only he would just smile--

Suddenly, a pair of round eyes turned to my direction. I quickly looked away. Soojin-ah, what are you doing? Why are you even looking at him? Aish!

I tried to peek at him again, but he was still looking. He's actually staring, and it's a scary stare. I tell you.. I fixed my posture and looked straight in front as our teacher came in.

"I'll go talk to him later." Riyeon whispered. Yeah, whatever. Do what you want. I totally have nothing to do with him. I didn't want anything to do with him.

I was walking along the corridors, heading towards my locker. I reached the hall where my locker is located, and I heard voices.

"You're not going to give it to me? You want this? Huh?!" Dave, the most feared bully at school, said as he clutched his fist, facing a nerd boy. The boy looked really scared, and he just gave Dave his money. What's new? Bullies bully. You can't change that, unless they aren't bullies anymore.

But something caught my attention more. A silhouette of a tall, slim guy leaning on a wall. It wasn't too dark for me to not know who he was. Lee Taemin. That cold-hearted transferee student. He was watching the scene and he's.. chuckling?

I went straight to him, and faced him.

"So, you're not gonna do anything?" I raised him an eyebrow. He did the same. "Ugh. You're not going to help the poor boy? You're just gonna laugh at him like that??" My voice became louder.

"Why would I care?" He softly, but harshly said then he walked away, rolling his eyes at me. My mouth fell open. I watched him walk away and turned to a corner.

W-what did he just say? 'Why would I care?' That cold-hearted freak! Maybe he's one of the bullies. Gosh. Bad choice, Riyeon. Bad choice.

I angrily opened my locker and took the things I needed, then I angrily shut it too. I was so.. mad. I mean, what was I even expecting?! Wait.. Why am I even expecting?!? Gosh.

Everyday, it continued just like that. I always see him watching others being bullied, without doing anything to help the poor kids. What a guy! I wanted to punch him hard in the face every time I see him chuckle. And another is that he kept on glaring at me in class, and it's just so annoying! He was a pain in the head, a merciless creature.. until that day came.

"What do you want?" I grumpily asked Dave as he cornered me. He saw me walking alone and maybe he had no one to bully. So he targeted me. How fortunate!

"Why the long face, Soojin baby? Are you not happy to see your boyfriend?" He smirked as he reached out to touch my cheeks. I pushed him away.

"Just leave me alone!" I tried getting past him, but his big body hindered me.

"Not so fast--" Then, a long, slender arm grabbed Dave's shoulders. "What do you want?!" He angrily said as he turned around to see.. Taemin.
