"Why don't you go play outside, dear?" My mom said as she pushed me out of the house. "Mom will be out the whole day since I have to go to work. There's the kid next door, go play with him, okay?"

She pointed at the young boy, about 6 years old, a year older than me, who is talking to his mom, too. It's our third day in Seoul. We moved here from Paris since my mom wants me to learn the Korean way. And I'm still Korean, so.. yeah.

"..and there's your playmate. Go ask her her name and play with her instead." I heard the ahjumma tell the boy.

"But she's a girl!" He complained loudly.

"Shh! Quiet down!" His mom, I think, said. "Okay, I have to go now. I love you."

"But mom..!" But she bid the boy goodbye.

"Okay, I'll be back by sunset, so have fun! I love you." My mom kissed my forehead and got in the car.

I watched her go until she vanished from far away. Then, I looked at the boy with small eyes. Oh, yeah. Most of us Koreans have cute, small eyes. Then I was shocked to see him looking at me. He walked towards me and stopped.

"Who are you?" He asked me, his eyebrows crushing onto each other.

"Why should I tell you?" I crossed my arms. He raised an eyebrow at me.

"Are you new here?" He asked again. "I haven't seen you around."

"Yes, we just moved here the day before yesterday." I replied.

"Ah! You're the family who just moved from Paris, right?" He exclaimed. I just nodded. "Well, I guess that explains the fashion sense."

I looked down at my fuschia pink dress, layered with a furry, brown leather jacket, and shining doll shoes. "Is there something wrong with me outfit?"

"Nothing. I kind of like it." He admitted. I smiled and punched his arm. "Ow! What's that for?!"

I laughed. "You're cute when you admit defeat. Heh."

He smirked, then he pinched my left cheek reeeeeeaaaaaal hard.

"Oooooowwwwwww!!!!" Then he let me go. "Ya! That hurts!!! I'm gonna tell my mom!!" I yelled, but he just laughed.

"I'm Kibum. What's your name?" He suddenly asked.

"Why should I tell you? Hmph!" I kept on rubbing my cheek.

"Well then, I'll just call you Paris girl." He put his hands in his pockets.

"Yeah, whatever." I rolled my eyes. "I'm going in now.. uh.. Kibum. Or I'll just call you Key as your nickname. I can, can I?"

"Not bad. Okay, Paris girl. See you around!" He waved at me, but I just ignored him. "Ya! Paris girl! If you keep on ignoring me like that, you'll earn yourself an enemy, y'know!" He chuckled.

"Whatever, Key. Bye!" Then I closed the door. My cheeks still hurts, and I laid down on our couch. Key? Sounds foreign-y. I like it. Heh.

Year after year passed, and I still met Key everyday outside. At first, he still didn't hate me. But I kept on ignoring him and playing a prank on him, so he started doing the same. Now, we're mortal enemies and I hate him so much! Once, he accidentally burnt my hair, causing me to cut my oh-so-precious locks. But I was still able to look fabulous with the help of my fashion sense.

Our parents even enrolled us in the same school, thinking we're best friends. He kept on teasing me and playing jokes on me, which made me hate him more. It was then he knew my name was _____. I thought after graduating from elementary school, I'd be far away from him, but no. Middle school, he was my classmate. He kept on trying to embarrass me in front of everyone. He grew up being a bully, and most of the time, his target was me.

And now.. High school.
