“Sino ‘yung nasa room, sa may likod?”

“‘Yung transferee? Hindi raw natin siya kasection. Inaantay lang daw jowa niya.”

“Sino ba jowa nun?”

“Hindi nagsasalita eh. Ang sungit. Sabi lang, I’m just waiting for my girlfriend, daw!”

“Hoy kayong dalawa ba’t nasa labas pa kayo? Pasok na. Parating na si ma’am.” Winter Kim, the ever-strict student council president, overheard her two classmates chattering outside their classroom.

“Pres, may transferee sa classroom pero hindi natin kaklase,” one of her classmates tells her habang sabay-sabay na silang pumasok.

“Ayun oh,” turo naman nung isa. 

Lo and behold, a girl was sitting at the back, wearing civilian clothes (they’re required to wear uniforms, by the way), with a leather jacket over her plain white shirt, staring out the window.

“Eh ba’t nandito? Naligaw?” Winter asked, still staring at the girl.

“Ewan. May jowa raw siya sa section natin.” 

Then, their eyes met. Winter’s eyebrows raised when the said girl went from an oh-so-serious mode to a silly grin with an eye-smile look.

“Baby, finally!! I’ve been waiting for you!” The girl stood up and walked toward Winter, who had her eyes and mouth wide open.

Gasps were heard inside the classroom.

“Did you miss me?” she whispered in Winter’s ear.
