When they jokingly said they should start a band, Chaeyeon was there, the loyal listener. She remembered her ears perking up at everything they said because it all sounded so dreamy. She watched as Kotone practiced on her bass, Mayu did some vocal warm-ups, Nakyoung fixed her makeup, and Nien sat quietly by Chaeyeon’s side before they went on stage.

“Midnight Lilies” was an upcoming band consisting of Mayu (vocalist), Kotone (bassist), Nakyoung (guitarist), and Nien (drummer). Beyond their striking visuals, their skills and songs immediately swept the public off their feet. The agency they were in was fully aware of Kotone and Mayu’s relationship and had agreed to make it public once the group was more established.

However, what the company was completely unaware of was Nien and Chaeyeon. Although Chaeyeon was hired as their creative director, the agency was oblivious to how much Nien clung to Chaeyeon like glue.
