TEASER
i’d kill you if i loved you less hard
“Humans are afraid of me. But it’s not my fault that I have to eat their flesh to survive.” Karina tosses the fish into and chomps down its entire body, bones and all.
“So are you not afraid of me? Don’t I scare you?”
The other woman grins.
“Then why have you not killed me yet? Why do you keep coming back to me?”
Karina thinks for a while.
“Because I still want to hear you sing?”
An honest answer. Because sirens don’t really know how to lie. Do they even know what lying is?
“Hey. Can I kiss you?”
Kiss? Another unknown word that Karina has never heard of before.
“What’s ‘kiss’?”
The human blushes, and Karina doesn’t know why, but she feels the warmth seeping through her chest again when she sees her like this.
Winter brings their faces together, and the siren is confused as to why they’re pressing their lips together. She just finished munching on her fish. Her breath definitely smells like fish. Do humans eat raw fish too? Does she want the fish she ate? She could’ve caught more if Winter asked.
Humans are so weird.
And Karina thinks she’s being influenced by their weird ways as well thanks to Winter
