Of course. She wakes up without Joohyun by her side.

This has happened too often for Seungwan to be mad when she was being welcomed with the non-existent presence of her secretary the first thing in the morning.

Forget morning . She's already lucky if Joohyun is still in her penthouse.

Seungwan sat herself up on the bed after she gathered enough energy and consciousness to do so. Her sleepy eyes scanned through the whole bedroom, especially the floor that was decorated with the scatter of her personal belongings from last night.

She caught sight of Joohyun's stuff lying lifelessly on the floor in her bedroom. That's a good sign.

let out a yawn as she lazily left the mess that is her bed. She made a mental note to change the dirty sheet and told Joohyun to wash it in the laundry room, just to keep her stay much longer in her place. Seungwan took a fresh t-shirt and shorts from her wardrobe to cover her body, not even bothering to wear a fresh pair of underwear before she left her bedroom.

"Yes, the file regarding our cooperation with BTD for the new project," that's what welcomed Seungwan as she entered the living room. Her eyes easily found Joohyun already situated right in front of her laptop, apparently continuing her work for next week's preparation. She is still wearing the shirt she wore last night to cover her body. Seungwan doesn't know if she wears anything underneath it this morning, though. "Please send it to my email. Yes, thank you. Have a nice weekend."

The CEO can't help but to snort from the friendly tone Joohyun used to the archive people as she poured herself a mug of fresh coffee her secretary brewed this morning. She never used that tone to her throughout the time they spent together as workmates. "You never talked to me like that."

"I will, if you start to be professional at work, Ms Son," answered Joohyun, already going back to her signature deadpan.

Seungwan decided to join her on the working desk where her secretary decided to continue her task. She glanced at the screen from behind Joohyun, seeing the work she's currently doing that is one hundred percent also related to her. "Why is it different from the last file they sent me weeks ago?"

"They said BTD was tweaking some things regarding the project," explained Joohyun, swiftly showing her the rest of the file for Seungwan to see. There’s dullness in her eyes as she looked at the scrolled pages. "They believed this to be the best way for us to take if we want to be successful and gain profit with this project. The huge boost will be advantageous for us to exceed our rivals if we are going through with this."

"Yeah, but they decided to change it last minute by thinking I'm stupid and not consulting it with me beforehand," snorted Seungwan, before taking a sip of her warm coffee. "Arrange another meeting with them next week. If they refuse to join, immediately cut our support for this project and blacklist them from our company for nine years."

Joohyun nodded obediently as she started to arrange a new meeting for next week and sent them a schedule by email. Seungwan watched all of it with boredom before she buried her face inside her shoulder, begging for her attention.

"Go eat the breakfast I already cooked for you," instructed Joohyun, pointing to the hot food underneath the cover on the counter. "Rather than disturbing me by being childish."

"Then stop working," Seungwan whines. "I won't leave until you stop playing with that goddamn laptop."

"How about you stop being a baby?" Joohyun fights back, sending her an annoyed glance and condescending side eye to let Seungwan know she was honestly pissed from her childish behavior. "And stop trying to peek at my s, you . I wear underwear."

Seungwan booed Joohyun, to let her know that she's disappointed with the fact that she's not underneath the shirt. She finally accepted her defeat and left her alone as her legs forcefully brought her to the counter, towards her waiting breakfast. Underneath the cover, she found a plate of scrambled eggs, two pieces of toast, and sausages. "Seriously?"

"That's the only thing I can find inside your fridge," responded Joohyun with her eyes staring at the screen of her laptop, before she raised them to send her a sharp gaze. "And I'm your secretary, Ms Son, not your maid. You are lucky I'm willing to even make you a portion of breakfast this morning."

She grumbled childishly before starting to eat her breakfast. It's not that she feels ungrateful, but everything tasted bland. Probably because of the lack of Joohyun in front of her right now since she is busy with the stupid work she needs to do.

Even when she was done with her breakfast, her secretary still was not yet finished with her business. God knows how many grumbles Seungwan has released this morning alone. When she eats breakfast, when she washed the dirty plate, when she goes to the living room and watches a kid's cartoon that does not seem to be funny anymore.

It's infuriating, to the point Seungwan will keep her pout present on her face until Joohyun does something.

Seungwan caught a loud defeated sigh coming from her behind, with the screeching sound of a chair being pushed back followed. She pretends she doesn't care, even when Joohyun arrives inside her peripheral view. Even when Joohyun takes a seat on her lap and pulls her in for a kiss.

"Pout doesn't look good on you," whispered Joohyun as she wiped her bottom lip gently using her thumb.

"And who's fault is that?" asked Seungwan, raising her eyebrow.

Joohyun rolled her eyes before gently kissing her again, this time longer and none of them wanted it to be over. Seungwan pulled her closer by the waist, as if they weren't tangled limbs by limbs right now because Joohyun caged her waist with her slender legs. Her hands explore everything about Joohyun that she can touch and feel, while her secretary remains by circling her arms around her neck and buried her fingers inside her hair.

They shared kisses that are not intense but still send flutters into Seungwan. She gently bit her bottom lip, asking for her permission to let Seungwan use her tongue. Joohyun parted slightly, and Seungwan didn't waste her chance in burying her wet muscle deep inside her. Exploring her teeth and the roof of as they keep kissing without giving a with their lungs.

God, Joohyun is super y, she actually drives her crazy by existing alone.

She swiftly switches their position by laying down Joohyun on the couch, doing so without even breaking their kiss for the slightest. Seungwan hovering above her, prompting herself up with the help of her elbow while her other arm exploring Joohyun's body like this is her first time. Joohyun helped her to remain close by keeping her arms looped around her neck, which Seungwan appreciated with a deep kiss that was intoxicating.

Her lips are damn addictive, Seungwan was sure they were her kryptonite. It never bore her to have a kissing session with Joohyun, only kissing with some naughty touches. She reached to her hand, silently asking for her to hold it. Joohyun gently laced their fingers together, holding hers with a tight hold and Seungwan couldn't help but to respond with a satisfied hum.

"Accompany me," whispered Seungwan above her lips after they were forced to break the kiss because of the protest given by their lungs. It's more of a command rather than a question.

Her fianceé hums as her fingers play with the soft tresses of her hair. "Where?"

"To the grocery store,” answered Seungwan lightly, tilting down to stare at her lips and using her thumb to wipe the saliva on her lips with her free hand. The one that is not currently holding Joohyun in a tight hold that none of them want to let go.

"Really?" responded Joohyun, with a condescending but playful raised eyebrow. Seungwan rolled her eyes from the gesture. "A spoiled woman like you? Doing groceries?"

"You said it yourself, there's nothing in my refrigerator right now," deadpanned Seungwan, her thumb lazily the skin of her waist, drawing an invisible circle. "Besides, you are coming along with me. You can choose anything you want me to have. Even changing my detergent that you hate so much."

"That sounds nice, although I know you are doing this just to make me stay longer," smirked Joohyun in victory, while Seungwan leans down to kiss her lips just to erase her cockiness away from her face. "Okay, let's go."

"Can we do something first?" asked Seungwan softly, while her hand sneakily wandered around her body and touched her in every place she could. Joohyun simply raised her eyebrow from her action, yet she doesn't do anything to make her stop. "I woke up alone this morning. Don't you think I deserve a proper apology?"

Joohyun smiled at her, to the point Seungwan couldn't help but to mirror the same expression. She gently kisses her lips, and when Seungwan is about to deepen their kiss, Joohyun pulls back ever so menacingly. "Let's just take a shower."

She let out a groan and allowed Joohyun slip away from her embrace just like that, without much effort nor struggle because Seungwan didn't hold her back. The whiny short haired woman buried her face inside the thick pillow of her couch, wallowing in her own misery. it if she looks so embarrassingly pitiful, but the love of her life just rejected her advance to have with her. And nothing is sadder than to get ed by your own fiancee.

"Ms Son."

"What?" grumbled Seungwan as she raised her head to look at Joohyun, only for her eyes to widen instantly.

There's Joohyun just right in front of the opened bathroom door. The shirt she wore this morning already laid lifelessly on the cold floor, along with her bra. Her soon, because when Joohyun called her name earlier, she was in the middle of taking it off from her body.

"I said,'' Joohyun purposefully stopped her sentence just to make a smirk. That damn smirk that looks so damn y in Seungwan's eyes. "Let's just take a shower."

"I'm coming!" yelled Seungwan as she rushed towards the bathroom, almost stumbling down on her way there. She heard Joohyun chuckling from inside, but all of them turned into soft sighs and moans as soon as Seungwan did her signature talent on her body. To the point it drowns the soft noise of streams coming from the shower.

After all, who in their right mind would reject a free invitation for a shower ?

---

Seungwan boringly leaned her body on the trolley, seeing every person passing her by while she stuck at this position. Her eyes then glanced to the side towards Joohyun, who kept herself busy in choosing the right detergent and softener for her to use in her penthouse whenever she decided to do laundry.

Thank God that damn shower is good enough for her to put up with something like this.

"Just choose anything," whined Seungwan as loud as she could, to let Joohyun know how miserable she is in waiting for her to be over in her business with the goddamn detergent. She looked at her wristwatch, only to find out they have been standing at the same spot for exactly half an hour. "I'm alright with using any detergent."

"Your wardrobe mostly consists of clothings made by high-end brands in this world," Joohyun finally responded, yet her reply just made her groan more because she knows a lecture is coming. "They need to be treated right or else they wouldn't last long."

"I have money, Joohyun," deadpanned Seungwan, absolutely tired of staying in one place. "I can just buy another if I ruin my clothes because I choose the wrong detergent."

"Does it ever cross your mind to stop wasting money over unnecessary things? Like buying another set of clothes just because they got ruined since you chose the wrong detergent?" snorted Joohyun, biting her back with her sharp response. "Just go around and buy other things you need if you are sick of being here with me. I will find you after I'm done with this."

"Fine," Seungwan rolled her eyes as she pushed her trolley and started exploring the supermarket once again.

To be honest, the reason why she's willing to wait for Joohyun to choose her detergent for that long is because she doesn't really know what to get for herself. Usually, she will call a maid to fill her refrigerator with fresh ingredients and restock the things she needed to last for a month without doing another grocery. Seungwan will just enjoy what they get for her without bothering if she already has everything under control.

That's why she decided to just get everything that looks familiar to her. Cereals, milk, and some snacks. Tons of fresh fruit, especially the one that is in their season. Sauces and ground spices that she saw often in her kitchen cabinet. Rolls of tissue. Things like that.

She was already done taking and inspecting every aisle of the supermarket yet Joohyun is nowhere to be seen. Seungwan looked around once again, there was no panic starting to bloom inside her. Her secretary is not someone who will easily get lost if she walks around without someone by her side. But Joohyun is also not someone who will disappear just like that. That's why Seungwan is confused when she finds no sight of her fianceé on the laundry aisle, the last place she had been before she left her.

The short haired woman is this close to give her a call and asks her location when she found her currently talking to a man she didn't know near the fruit section. Their distance was close, and there's a small smile present on her face. Along with a friendly expression that only a few people get.

Seungwan blinked in surprise to find out Joohyun actually knew someone other than her and her staff in her company. They actually look like they have known each other since years ago and were catching up a little as they bumped into each other in this supermarket. She chose to watch them from afar, not because she was afraid Joohyun would leave her for this unknown man.

It's because this is her first time she saw her interacting with someone outside the workplace, and it's such an interesting sight for her to watch.

She decided to approach her after she took a quick glance at her wristwatch. It will be lunch time soon, and if they weren't quick enough to leave this place, restaurants will be filled with tons of people and they will not be able to have a quiet lunch that does not require them to spend a lot of money.

When she was about to call her name and make her presence known, Joohyun turned around and easily landed her gaze on her. Seungwan almost raised her eyebrow when she caught a spark of relief and happiness in her eyes before she got pulled by the arm to stand beside Joohyun, with the latter naturally slinging her arm around hers like she did that quite often.

Joohyun did not do that quite often. In fact, this is the first time.

"This is my fiancee, Seungwan," Joohyun introduced her to this man lightly, like it was nothing for her to address Seungwan as her fiancee in front of a stranger for the first time ever since their engagement. "Seungwan, this is my friend from college, Wooram."

"Oh," the man blinked in surprise, Seungwan unable to fight the urge to raise her eyebrow from his odd response. "I didn't know you were engaged. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you," Seungwan politely replies with a small smile, along with shaking his hand that feels cold and chummy against her. Fighting the urge to wipe her hand after the handshake is such a tough battle. She turned to the side to look at Joohyun, who has been looking at her for God knows how long. "Shall we leave now? It's about lunch time and I think we already got everything we need."

"Sure," Joohyun nodded with a smile, Seungwan needed to bite the inside of her cheek to prevent herself from laughing. Her fiancee is such a terrible actress, yet somehow she managed to pull an Oscars-worthy act in front of this man. "Thanks for the conversation, Wooram. See you again someday?"

The man nodded and bid his goodbye before he left both of them alone. It took them several seconds for Joohyun to let out a loud sigh while Seungwan snickered because of what just happened earlier.

"He tried to court you earlier, didn't he?"

"Yeah," answered Joohyun in her signature deadpan, the one Seungwan knows best. She put the detergent and the softener she chose for Seungwan to use inside the trolley, before they walked together towards the cashier. "And he made sure to be so obvious with it. I thought my ring was enough to usher them away."

"Well, he probably thought of it as an accessory," shrugged Seungwan as she stopped at one of the cashier sections, waiting in line for her turn. "What do you want for lunch?"

Seungwan turned to look at her when she replied to her question with silence, only to find Joohyun staring at her with an odd gaze. She raised her eyebrow, silently asking the reason why she looked at her like she just grew another head out from her neck. "For someone who is dramatic and childish, you are quite calm with the fact that someone just tried to court me when I'm already engaged with you."

"You prefer me to throw a tantrum at him and make a scene in this public space?" snorted Seungwan in disbelief. "I'm a respected woman in the world of business, Joohyun. I know how to behave in front of the public."

"It's not that," Joohyun sighed while pinching the bridge of her nose. "How are you alright with this?"

"A man from your past whom you just met once again in this supermarket will not make me worry of you leaving my side, if you really want me to say it," answered Seungwan lightly like it was nothing. Well, it was nothing for her. That man is incomparable to what she has reached in life. "After all, I'm the best fiancee and future wife you could ever ask for."

"Here we go again," Joohyun rolled her eyes thanks to her cocky response. "And I know you almost laughed when we tried to make him leave."

"Hey, it's an impromptu act. I honestly think I did well," grinned Seungwan full with pride. She turned to her side, slightly bending her body so she could level her eye gaze with Joohyun who decided to ignore her this time. "And don't you think I deserve a present for going along with your play? A simple kiss is enough."

Joohyun lets out a sigh before she cups her face with her warm hands and pulls her in for a quick kiss right on her lips. "There. Satisfied?"

"Very," answered Seungwan as her grin turned into a wide smile. She kissed her lips again—this time a second longer— and patiently waited for their turn in the cashier. Joohyun secretly reached out for her hand, with Seungwan tangling their fingers in a tight bond.

None of them let go.

---

It feels very domestic and right to have Joohyun walking around her penthouse like it's her home.

She just fits perfectly without any effort as she mingles around the furniture in her place. She already knows where Seungwan placed the utensils as Joohyun prepared the chinese takeout she bought for their lunch on their way back home from the supermarket. To have her sit across Seungwan on the dining table, sometimes naturally passing her a piece of meat like she had done this for years.

That's why she still doesn't understand why Joohyun keeps rejecting the idea of moving into her penthouse.

It’s not like Seungwan doesn’t know the reason why. Joohyun already told her the first time she asked her to move in and live together with her, but Seungwan is not someone to give up.

Yet at this point, she’s beyond desperate. She just wants to wake up everyday to have Joohyun sleeping as the first thing she sees in the morning. Seeing Joohyun cooking in her kitchen and making food for both of them by wearing an apron that matches hers. To see two pairs of toothbrushes and slippers that exist whenever Joohyun decides to stay the night in her penthouse.

But it is such a hard task to make Joohyun finally want to live together with her before their marriage.

Seungwan silently tiptoed her way towards Joohyun who was currently washing their dirty dishes as soon as they were done with their lunch. She looked seriously focused on washing those plates clean, somehow it made her look adorable in Seungwan's eyes. The taller woman leaned down, landed a soft peck on her cheek, and smiled at her as Joohyun paused.

"What was that for?" asked Joohyun in her signature deadpan, much closer as a tired sigh. She continued washing the dishes while Seungwan stayed beside her.

"I just want to kiss your cheek," beamed Seungwan with a wide toothy grin on her face. She took a step closer towards Joohyun, having each of their sides touching each other. "I can't kiss my own fiancee?"

"No, it’s not that," sighed Joohyun as she closed the tap off, already done with washing dishes. She wiped her wet hands on a cloth near the sink, giving her judgemental side eyes which only made Seungwan smile wider. "But whenever you do that, you have something up your sleeves."

"Valid," shrugged Seungwan lightly, before she placed her palms on Joohyun's waist and lifted her up to sit on the counter so easily like she weighs nothing. She didn't waste her time chasing after her lips, kissing her properly this time. Joohyun accepted her kiss, even pulling her closer by circling her arms around her neck. Seungwan almost forgot what she wanted to do as she forced herself to break the kiss. "I do have something up my sleeves."

Joohyun stayed mum, her thumb wiping the saliva on Seungwan's lips. "What is it?"

"Move in with me," said Seungwan in a whisper as she leaned forward and gave her lips a gentle peck. "Live together with me. Don't you think it is about time? With us going to get married and all?"

The smaller woman remained silent. Her eyes glanced down to her lips, before staring back into hers. "My answer is still no."

Seungwan groaned loudly, she didn't care if Joohyun called her childish by doing so. This is her nth attempt in making Joohyun want to live with her before their marriage. "Why? Why is your answer still no? Am I not perfect enough for you to live together with me?"

"You know the reason why," her signature deadpan made a comeback on her beautiful feature thanks to her dramatic response. This time, it was Joohyun who gave her lips a peck before she escaped her cage of arms and left the counter. Seungwan pouted from the sudden loss of her warmth on her skin. "Now that you mentioned it, can we stop by Sister Kwon's place first before you drop me at my home? I want to talk to her about something."

"Brave of you to imply I will drive you home," Seungwan raised her eyebrow.

"Will you not?"

She pursed her lips in annoyance. Seungwan might be her boss, but in terms of something like this—even when they are in the workplace—Joohyun is always the one who acted like her boss. Not like she’s complaining, because her secretary always gave her a valid reason why she did that. You are acting too childish right now. “Fine. Do you want to stop by and buy something for Sister Kwon and the rascals?”

“Cakes would be nice,” nodded Joohyun, agreeing with her idea to buy them something. She watched her walk towards the couch where she placed all of her stuff on the cushion. “Shall we go now?”

The urge to roll her eyes is too strong for her to hold back. “I want a kiss first.”

“What’s next?” This time, it was Joohyun who rolled her eyes. “A round of and you making me wash the dirty bed sheet because I like doing laundry when you just want to keep me longer in your penthouse?”

“That is actually a nice idea,” beamed Seungwan happily, before turning it into a chuckle as Joohyun groaned and started to walk away from her. She lightly hoisted her up by the waist and turned around to make her sit on the backrest of her couch, facing her emotionless face. “I’m just joking. A kiss is enough.”

Her fiancee rolled her eyes once again before she leaned forward and kissed her lips to get this over with. Seungwan couldn't help but to smile from the kiss, deepening their connection as she took a step closer and gently cupped her face with her hand. Her other arm tightly holding her waist to keep her stay in her place and not break the kiss.

They break the kiss for a while before Seungwan leans forward for another, and can't stop herself from not doing so. She ran her palm across her exposed thigh, prompting a sigh to leave Joohyun’s throat from the touch. Seungwan groaned when Joohyun decided to bury her fingers inside her hair, pushing her closer as the kiss started to become demanding. Started to become too much and they need to stop this if they need to go now.

That’s why when Joohyun forced herself to break the kiss, Seungwan fights the strong urge in her to everything and just bring her to bed. “We shall go now.”

“Yeah,” Seungwan gulped to erase her hoarse voice, before breaking into a smile when she noticed how red Joohyun's face is and how she has become breathless just from their kiss alone. A pride bloomed in her heart. “Let’s go.”
