When the invitation from LabelSJ came for them to join the latest reality television talent competition – Idol’s Nature – as the main dance instructor team, Lee Hyukjae wasn’t keen. He only relented because of his team’s happiness with the recognition, and Henry is a sweet baby that shouldn’t be denied such a great opportunity just because of himself.

So Lee Hyukjae, with his 2-year-old daughter, Nari, and his number 1 team, arrives back in Korea, straight into the very reality show that is being held by his ex-husband.

Lee Hyukjae was playing with his daughter when Shindong walked in with an invitation card. He spares a glance to take a quick look at the logo stamped on, decided that he didn’t recognize it, and went back to playing with his cute, little soft angel.

Unlike his lack of interest, the rest of the crew are a bunch of little vultures that literally flocked to Shindong upon noticing the letter, each of them anticipating the content.

It was barely a week since the final competition ended and two entire long years before they finally emerged as the overall champion, the true top number 1 dance crew of the world. Hyukjae finds their bubbling excitement adorable and thus doesn’t say anything to help get Shindong out of the crowd.

With some loud yells and strict scolding, Shindong finally managed to get the kids in place and stand properly. He shakes a finger at all of them, though not really angry. He’s slightly disheveled as he shakes the latching crowd away from him, as he tries to read the letter’s content.

❝Congratulations on the Dance Championship!

LabelSJ is holding a new reality television talent competition — Idol’s Nature — and would like to invite TeamHyuk to join our dance team in charge……❞

He trails off in surprise, not expecting to receive a letter from such a huge entertainment company. While he’s still in shock, the letter gets stolen by nifty fingers.

Henry, the second youngest of the team and the cheekiest of the bunch, continues on aloud, his voice trembling with excitement,

❝……TeamHyuk will be the team in charge of all dance choreography, routine, and practice classes, and will be the main judge for the Dance Team.❞

The rest of them blinks, before erupting into loud cheers. Hyukjae had to cover his daughter’s ears as he yelled at them to shut up, feeling his own eardrums echoing the noise.

“We’d have to go!!! Hyung!! This is our chance!!!” Henry rushes over to tackle Hyukjae, carefully missing the young Nari, who giggles and claps while trying to climb Henry.

Henry easily carries her from Hyukjae, the two of them surprisingly vibe very well together. Feeling the strong emotions in the room, Nari squeals in happiness.

It was Shindong who spoke, “No, not with LabelSJ.”

His brows are deeply furrowed as he watches Hyukjae with worry. Taking the letter of invitation away from Hyoyeon, Shindong shakes his head. “We will not go.”

Disagreements and protests immediately burst out at the unfair dismissal. The entire crew had worked especially hard for the two years to get into the current position that they are in, flying from country to country to join one after another dance competition, having to win one after another tough battle, before they finally emerged the final winner at America.

Now that such a huge entertainment company sees them and wants a chance to collaborate, it would be their best chance to return to their homeland with pride and set their reputation in the industry.

None of them could understand why Shindong would even think to disagree.

“It’s ok.” Hyukjae sighs, understanding where the protectiveness and displeasure come from. He watches Nari play with Henry’s hair with soft, loving eyes before turning to Shindong, “They shouldn’t miss it. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

Holding Nari firmly in his embrace, Henry glances between his two hyungs, when sudden realization dawn on him.

“No.” Henry’s voice is firm, “We will not accept.”

Hyukjae stares at him in surprise. He knows Henry doesn’t know the full story, but he knows about the bits and pieces. His crew members all know certain parts here and there, like why they had to delay a year to join the competition, or why Hyukjae returned with a baby of his own with no other partner.

“No.” Hyukjae smiles softly, “This is a good opportunity, we will join Idol’s Nature.”
