10 year old Jeonghan's smile fades after hearing Nayeon's cold words. Why would she say that? I thought this would make her happy. He kept still as he held her mom's flower pot with both hands. A pair of scissors dangling on one of his fingers, an evidence explaining why only the stems and leaves of her mother's flowers were left.

He tried to break the silence with a smile, "But Nayeonnie, I found a way to-"

"How could you?" Nayeon's voice broke as tears rolled from her eyes. Her tiny hands trying to wipe her uncontrollable tears. 

"Nayeonnie." Jeonghan stepped towards her, wanting to comfort her. He was confused, still could not understand why this made her cry. At the same time, his heart ached seeing her cry.

"I hate you." Her words stabbed him like knives. She looked at the pot one last time, only making her cry even more and run away from him.
