"Hi."

"Baekhyun?!" Ryujin put the groceries down and walked closer. "What are you doing here?"

"I... I came here to meet my teacher." He looked at Hyunjin with a smile. 

"But, but- how... how could-" Her father signaled her to leave. "Ok..." She took the groceries and went to the kitchen. 

Baekhyun titled his head and sat back on the couch. "She is a little bit weird, but in a cute and innocent way." Hyunjin laughed. 

"Yeah," He said. "She wants to become a formula one champion."

"Right. It was her dream since she was a little girl. She wanted to be like me. Fortunately, Ryu is really close now."

He raised his eyebrows. "You are ok with it?"

"I am." He smiled. "We are living in twenty first century. Women can be as good as men." Baekhyun chuckled. "Do you disagree?"

"No. I mean, yes." He moved closer. "What I'm trying to say is... we should let some things to be left for men only. It is the best for everyone."

"I don't think so." Hyunjin said with a serious face. "You are going to help my little girl, aren't you?"

"Uh..." He bit his lower lip. "Of course. I am her instructor."

The old man nodded. "Take care of my daughter. You know, she is... somehow the female version of you. Stubborn, selfish, sometimes bad-tempered," Baekhyun laughed. "But also kind and talented." 

"Well, she-"

"I don't want her to join the team now. Just don't make her give up. Ok? Ok?"

He nodded. "Yes sir."

With Hyunjin's insistence, Baekhyun agreed to have lunch with them. There was an awkward silence. The racer had lost the number of glares Ryujin had given him. He wanted to say something, but her father's presence didn't allow him to do it. "Ah..." He started. "Ryujin is the only female racer in these years."

"So what?!" She snapped at him.

"Ryu, he just mentioned a fact." Hyunjin said calmly. "He didn't mean anything bad."

"And that makes me worried," Baekhyun whispered, looking directly at her.

"About what, son?" Ryujin rolled her eyes when her father addressed him like that. "Is there a problem?"

"Formula one society won't accept her easily," He said, putting some vegetables in his mouth. "They all think that women have no place in racing."

"What the-" She stopped before cursing. "I will change their minds," Ryujin said. "And I'll start with yours." She pointed her chapsticks towards him. 

"I don't have a problem..." He smirked. "Sir knows that very well."

"Yes Ryu. He is willing to support you."

"Yeah.. when the sun rises from west." She mumbled. 

Ryujin didn't know the reason why she was in Baekhyun's car. He said he wanted to take Mark from baseball field and he could take her to the restaurant too. Since he said it in front of her father, she had no choice but to agree. She was trying her best to show her dad that they were in good terms. 

"I'll be back." Baekhyun unplugged his seat belt and got out of the car. He walked to the baseball center and looked around to find his nephew. 

"Uncle!" He turned to the right to see Mark waving at him. He was about to make hid way towards him that a black van stopped there. A man opened the door and grabbed Mark's hands, trying to drag him in the vehicle. "Uncle!" He screamed in fear.

"Mark!" Baekhyun ran to him and grabbed one of his hands. "Let go of him!"

"Uncle!"

"Get lost!" The man took out a knife and cut his hand. 

"Ah!" Baekhyun fell down. The man pulled Mark in and closed the door. "Mark! Mark!" He stood up and started running behind the car. "NO!"

"Baekhyun!" Ryujin's voice stopped him. He turned to her and his eyes widened at the sight of his crying nephew in her embrace. 

He ran to them and hugged Mark tightly. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry." He whispered, kneeling down in front of him.

"Uncle..." He hugged him tighter. "I was scared."

"It's ok. It's ok. I'm here... don't be afraid." He stood up and took Ryujin in his embrace. "Thank you..."

Her heart skipped a beat. His touch made her held her breath. She bit her lower lip. It was weird. The way she got out of the car and rushed to the black van to get Baekhyun's nephew out of that car. The way she took out her pepper spray and sprayed it into the man's eyes after opening the van's door. She wouldn't do that for anyone, but her own kid. It was crazy! She just risked her life for another man's child. "Uh, it was no big deal."

"Now..." He pulled away and looked at his nephew. "Mark, we are going home after-"

"Oh no!" Ryujin took his hand in hers. "It's bleeding!"

"I..." Baekhyun raised his head and looked into her eyes. He got lost in her dark eyes. His mind went blank for a moment and it took him a minute to reply. "It's, it's, it's ok. Ok."

"No!" She led the boys to the car. "I'll drive."

Ryujin took them to the restaurant and forced them to go in. They went to the lockers room and she made Baekhyun sit there. "Ryu? What's wrong?" Jennie asked as soon as she entered the room. She gasped, seeing the champion with her. "What is he doing-"

"Can you bring first aid kit?"

"Ok..." She left. 

"Can you cure him?"

"I am a first aider. Don't worry, Mark." She whispered, looking at the not so deep wound. "But... why were they trying to kidnap you?"

"Probably it was because of my brother," Baekhyun answered, staring at his wound- more likely her tiny fingers. "He is Korea's ambassador."

Her eyes widened. "Seriously? Kim Junmyeon is your brother?"

"Stepbrother."

She nodded, humming. "Here." Jennie walked in with the kit in her hands. "How did this happen, Mr. Byun?" She asked before handing Ryujin the kit and sitting next to Baekhyun. 

"It was an accident." He mumbled. "Ah... Ryujin-ah..."

"It stings, I know." She took out the bandage. "Are you going to tell him?"

"Of course," Baekhyun bit his lower lip. "I need to know the reason behind this. Junmyeon hyung has never had a single enemy."

She nodded. "That's why my dad says being involved in politics is scary."

"You can say that," Baekhyun raised his head and his eyes met hers for the second time that day. Was she Medusa? He wanted to ask. Because every time they made eye contact, he froze, as if he was turned into stone. He gulped, wanting to say something, though he had nothing to say. 

"Would you please talk in English?" Jennie asked, distracting Baekhyun, so he could pull himself together. "It's a bit... you know..."

"I'm sorry," Baekhyun whispered as he stood up. "Thank you, Ryu." He bowed his head slightly before leaving. 

"Thank you. Good bye, Miss Ryujin Jung!" Mark ran after his uncle. 

She waved her hand. "What was he saying?"

"Talking about his older brother."

"Oh..." Jennie grinned. "Is he as handsome as him?"

"He is married." Ryujin crossed her arms and turned to her. "Seriously Jen, stop acting like a d*ck beggar! Women are happy even if they are single... we don't need men to be happy."

"We don't have a term as d*ck beggar and that is your idea!" She pouted. "I am too lonely to think that way."

The maid opened the door and Baekhyun walked in, followed by Mark. "Darling!" Jisoo hugged her son tightly. "I missed you. We all missed you."

"I missed you too." He smiled, looking up at his mother.

"Is that..." Lily whispered, walking out of bathroom in her bath robe. "Mark!" She ran to him and hugged him. "How are you little brother?" She asked excitedly. 

"You can't call me little brother because of five minutes." He said with annoyance. 

"Where's hyung?" Baekhyun asked, looking around. 

"He is taking a nap," Jisoo said. "He stayed up late last night."

"Aha... so he is sleeping when his son was about to get kidnapped by some guys, right?"

"Yes. That's right- what? What do you mean?" She looked at her son. "What is he saying?"

"It is true," Baekhyun crossed his arms. "Some people were about to steal him right in front of baseball field... he is all right now, but what was the reason? Can you please tell me? And who can assure us that this won't happen again? Shouldn't the family of Mr. Ambassador have safety?"

"What is it, Byun Baekhyun?" Junmyeon asked as he walked downstairs. "Stop nagging for a day and you'll see how beautiful your life will become."

"He says some people wanted to kidnap Mark." Jisoo informed with trembling voice. She pulled her children close to her body.

He frowned. "What? Who the dared to-"

"Junmyeon!" His wife warned him, showing the kids with her eyes.

The elder man bit his lower lip. "I mean..." He cleared his throat. "Why should someone-" His phone started ringing, Lily ran to his room to bring it. "I've never done anything to turn people into my enemies. Why should someone attack my family?"

"I don't know... that's weird." Baekhyun crossed his arms. 

"Yes. He is here." Lily ran downstairs as she talked on the phone. "Auntie Soyeon..." She handed him his phone. 

"Soyeon-ah," Junmyeon started talking. "What's up?" He walked away. "Yes... we are fine." He turned to his family to look at them.

Baekhyun walked closer. "Give me, let me talk to her." 

"Ok, ok... Baekhyun wants to talk to you."

He got the phone. "Hello sis!"

"Oppa! I'm lucky that you are there. I couldn't tell it to Junmyeon oppa directly." She giggled.

"Why? What is the new trouble you've made?" He whispered, not too loud so the ambassador wouldn't hear. After his father's death, Junmyeon was in charge of the family. So if their little sister, Soyeon, did something wrong, she knew she was done. The only person she could run to was her other brother, Baekhyun. Unlike Junmyeon, he spoiled her. As much as the elder tried to raise a responsible woman, Baekhyun just let her be a brat. And there was only one reason: He didn't have the heart to scold her.

"No! I did nothing wrong this time! I just have a good news." 

He smiled widely. "And what's that?"

"Mom just called me. She was busy working in Ministry that she overheard something." She paused. "Junmyeon oppa is going to be the Minister for Foreign Affairs!"

"Really?"

"Actually he is one of the recommended ones, but since Mr. President trusts him implicitly, the possibility is more than eighty percent!"

"So... this means there are some people who are disagreeing?"

"Of course. There are always some politician
