Ever since the start of times, the war for power has existed. All creatures fight for survival and just the strongest ones can win and rule over the others.

Humans were labeled as the most intelligent animals among all, with their reasoning and apparently social skills; for some time they started to rule over the whole world. However, what just a few know is that they were almost completely destroyed by other two races, demons and vampires.

With human characteristics but completely different from them, demons and vampires started a campaign to get rid of humans and also used to fight between them for power.

The most noticeable characteristic of demons was their silver eyes, that unusual color that dragged the curious humans to them, they were beautiful and had a particular charm that passed through all human defenses. Their strength was obviously superior to the humans as well as their senses.

On the other side, vampires were distinguished by their red eyes, those eyes, unlike the demons’, used to make humans run away and tremble with fear, their physical characteristics were also superb and possessed a charm that could hypnotize any human as well. They were also stronger than humans, though according to some records, they were slightly weaker than demons, but their senses were sharper than the latters.

The two special abilities known of those two races were telepathy and vanishing.

The demons, as well as vampires, had the same accelerate process of growing as humans, the difference was that, in their 20th birthday, they can decide over that growing process. They can either choose to keep aging, age a bit slower or not aging at all. However, their life span is up to 1000 years.

For years, the war between races kept on and that period of time was filled with bloodshed and death. That until the three races established a pact. They’d coexist peacefully and will share the power to rule over the world with their respective races.

The alliance was simple, each race would have a place to rule over and the humans would create a special group that could neutralize the demons and the vampires, the assassins. Part of the pact was that the existence of these races would remain secret to the rest of humanity. There were other agreements between them, though they remained secret only to the leaders of the respective groups.

The population was then divided in families who were classified on the three statuses that emerged: High Status, Mid Status or Low Status.

Just the 5 most powerful and strongest families deserved the title of High Status, and from those, the family that occupied the first place was the one who ruled over the rest, the leaders. Next in line were the Mid Status, who consisted in the next 10 strongest families, therefore, the rest of the people were labeled as Low Status.

That mechanism applied to the three races, demons, vampires and assassins. Regarding the issue that vampires and demons had a really long life span, and could remain in power for hundreds of years, truth was that even when their life span was pretty long, they actually didn’t tend to stay in power for long and quickly inherited their position to their children, since they quickly grew bored of it and that way they could enjoy the rest of their lives without burdens; also, that way they could ensure an equal management of power.

With those rules being established, the three races finally started to coexist and the peace reigned over the world for the next years.
