Minjeong's POV

"Join hands with me," she said, without any conviction.

Hindi ko alam kung paano kami napunta sa sitwasyong to, at lalong hindi ko alam kung dapat ba akong matawa dahil sa kung gaano siya kaseryoso. Our first meeting was unlikely, and now the second one wasn't any better.

"Seryoso ka ba?" hindi makapaniwalang tanong ko. Tinitigan ko siyang maigi bago bumaba ang paningin ko sa mga hickeys na nasa leeg niya.

Damn, I guess I went a little overboard last night. Napansin niya siguro ang pagtitig ko kaya natawa siya ng konti.

"Minjeong Leonel Arcilla, 28 years old. Birthday, January 1, 1996. Finished Intarmed at UP Manila but got imprisoned for four years due to a crime that she didn't commit. Now here you are, nagtatrabaho bilang embalsamador dahil walang kahit sino na gustong tumanggap sa'yo…"

Of course, with a name as powerful as hers, alam kong kayang-kaya niyang halughugin ang buong pagkatao ko. After all, Suarez Group is still the top conglomerate sa bansa. Even though the woman in front of me is a child from the first and legitimate wife and the chairman of the said conglomerate. She and her family are one of the most influential dito sa bansa. Usap-usapan na she was a neglected child, after her mother died and her father marrried his mistress. That is, until she started to build her own company from scratch and managed to make it to the top. Kaya ngayon even the chairman of Suarez Group, is begging for her to reconsider aiding the conglomerate. 

"It was Heejin, tama? And my good for nothing half-brother and his family are the one who covered it up since he's crazy about your ex. Don't you want to take your revenge on her and my half-brother? Kaya mo nga ako nilapitan?" umikot ang mata niya, before downing her wine glass. Napalibutan kami ng nakakabinging katahimikan.

"Correction, I was drunk and entered the wrong room. Pangalawa, I didn't even recognize you," panimula ko. "At pangatlo, apologies because this might come out rude but who the are you to even pry into my life? Just because you got some details from whoever person you hired, ibig sabihin na non eh kilala mo na ang buong pagkatao ko at pwede ka na mag assume ng mga bagay-bagay…"

I flinched when she suddenly stood up. In a blink, nasa harap ko na agad siya - sitting on my lap with nothing but her nightgown on. Her right arm embraced my neck for support as her left hand held my face.

"Hmm? I'm giving you a chance to get back at them. After all, I want the whole Suarez Group to turn into nothing but dust," she whispered, her fingers slightly caressing my cheek.  "We are facing a common enemy. You have me as your chance card and probably your strongest ace, I'm rich, powerful and especially I like you"

"I also apologize if I'll be rude, but I'll be honest and tell you that I know about Gyeoul…"

I can feel my body stiffen. It's been a while since I heard or even muttered her name. Napaigting ang panga ko at nanlilisik siyang tinitigan. I thought it will scare her pero parang mas lalo lang lumaki ang smirk na meron siya.

"That anger was supposed to be placed towards the Suarezes and Heejin, my dear," malambing niyang sabi bago iangat ang ulo ko para matingnan siya. 

"What more does an ex-convict like Minjeong Arcilla have to lose?"

I sighed, analyzing her question. What more do I have to lose? I'm technically broke, my family already abandoned me, and my only sunshine is already dead.

"None," I answered, looking straight into her eyes. I also wrapped my arms around her waist, caressing her lower back while hoping that my gestures would be enough to convey my message.

"Shall we seal our deal with a kiss?" she asked before I felt her lips landing on mine.

She's crazy. Karina Ernaline Suarez must be out of her mind. The neglected Suarez who's also the CEO of Cervantes Industries. The one that the media deemed as the coldest woman in the business circle who has anger issues and can be violent when provoked. Everyone who dared to offend and harm her paid the unimaginable consequence. She knows her way and I hate that it worked because the next moment, I already saw myself welcoming her offer and the catastrophe that she will bring.

I kissed her back.
