I've been in Manila for quite some time now, ever since my sister, Krystal, offered me my first film project here. I graduated from college and earned a Master's degree in Filmmaking from Goldsmiths, University of London in England.

Since I was a child, I've been fascinated by how people create beautiful stories and how they come up with them, so it's safe to say that becoming a film director has been a long-held ambition of mine, but I didn't expect my first major project to be my sister's film. I've worked on a lot of short films in London, but this one makes me nervous.

Krystal is a well-known actress in the Philippines, and I was honored when her agency asked me to direct her new film, so I flew back to Manila without hesitation, leaving the life I had built in London for six years.

I've always had someone by my side since I was a child. I was surrounded by people I care about: my family and friends. I was never alone. That's why the loneliness in this townhouse I bought is killing me. It's too big for one person, and it almost feels like I'm suffocating. I've already asked my sister to move in with me, but she declined and has promised to pay me visits twice a week.

That doesn't help at all.

I need people here. 

So last night, I opened my laptop and posted in Manila Craigslist to look for bedspacers.
