In this world, there are a lot of things we know and we don’t, things we understand and we don’t. there are a lot of things beyond our knowledge that we can’t always comprehend the existences, such as, for example, magic and super powers. All of them are beyond our understanding and knowledge that people can call them as part of our fantasies. But what would you do if your fantasies, every single thing you can think of, is part of reality that you never knew? Because they do exist. Everything about the fire-spitting dragon, the horses with wings and horn, birds which turn into ashes only to grow back from those ashes. They do exist, but not with us, not in the realm of human.

You see, in this world, there are three living realms and one of them is the real of human. Well, technically it is called as the realm of human because humans think so high of themselves that they actually forgot that there are another living things who live alongside them in the realm. Then, there are the realms of the protectors where all those majestic beings you thought imaginary live at and lastly, the realm of void. This realm is where the eternal darkness and emptiness can be found from. Not much about this realm are told, but for the Divines, they’re bad news, for this realm is also the place where creatures of the dark existed and resided at. Those creatures of the dark are called Rex.

The three realms are deeply connected to each other and in order to create balance, there must be light and dark. And to create the balance we need, Divines are created. The protectors called cannot let the Rex gain control of the three realms. So, they chose the humans to inherit their powers and bring the Rex down with the given power. And with that, they’re called Divines, both for having power and The Protector by their side. But of course, not every human is always chosen by the protectors, only some. Every Divine is chosen once in a century but it is not always the same one for every human. There is an exception though.

In the past ancient history, it was written that there were four families who swore loyalty and would protect the realm of human together alongside their protectors until many generations to come. Those four families were called the house of Jung of the North, the house of Kim of the South, the house of Hwang of the East, and the house of Kwon of the West. Each family was deeply connected with their protectors and unlike any other Divines, the protectors would always choose the firstborn of the family head. And if there was a second-born and many to come, the protector of the said family would grant them the same power as their sibling to them, but they wouldn’t be able to see the form of their protector.

There are four protectors that belonged to the family. Silver dragon of The Jung, golden lion of The Kim, crimson Pegasus of The Hwang, and lastly, bronze griffin of The Kwon. These are the ancient protectors that have been with the families since their first existence.

As dangerous as Rex might be, The Divines who turned their back from their sworn loyalty and succumbed to the dark side are far more dangerous than Rex. The Divines who turned their back from the sworn loyalty are called as Lavion.

But as centuries passed, wars between Divines and Lavion kept on happening and there were many casualties caused by the wars and the four families were forced to use the last option, which was to destroy The Lavion along with them as the sacrifice. Even though it was cruel for having to sacrifice themselves for the sake of balance, if it was the only way that could save the realms of human and protectors, then they didn’t mind.

At the last moment before their sacrificing, the four families had made a deal with their protectors to find them in the form of their descendants and to always protect and guide them through every step they took so they would not be lost and turn to the dark side. And without any hesitations, the protectors agreed. With the deal sealed, the four families ended things once and for all.

And now, two millenniums have passed since the great war. Everyone has moved on and forgotten about it and things have been in peace. No Rex, no Lavion, everything is peaceful. Magic along with powers are nurtured so The Divines can use them to the next level. School of Magic is built so not only they get to nurture their power but they will also get the knowledge about the magic they used and the counter of the dark magic they would be facing one day.

Everything seemed to be going fine until one day, three new transferred students from the city in the other side of South Korea made appearance in SM School of Magic. And since then, things start to change along with the sudden appearance of the Rex and Lavion after two millenniums.

As the three new students crossed path with another seven, would they be able to stand side by side and fight against the dark side together?
