Karina loves coffee. She cannot function well without the said drink. 

After jogging, she went directly to her favorite cafe. Bakit naman hindi?

"Karina, hey." Napatingin si Karina sa likod niya. She saw Winter smiling brightly at her. 

"Winter, pleasure to see you here." Sabi ni Karina. Napansin ni Karina na palagi niyang nakakasalubong si Winter sa kung saan-saan.

"Palagi ka bang nandito? Hindi kita masyadong nakikita dito," sabi ni Winter. Karina looked at her with a raised brow. 

"Well, siguro dahil I am here tuwing maaga, and you are not. So, what brings you here?" Tumingin si Karina sa cashier at barista para umorder ng drink niya. 

"To drink coffee?" Natatawang sagot ni Winter. 

Tumabi si Karina para makaorder ang tao sa likod niya, in this case, si Winter. 

Winter ordered herself a cup of coffee and cheesecake. 

Hinintay ni Karina si Winter. 

"Come, sit with me." Sabi ni Karina at ngumiti. Winter shook her head. 

"I don't want to impose or anything, Karina." The taller girl scoffed. 

"Nope, you're not imposing. Tsaka, we're friends, no?" Tanong sakanya ni Karina. Umupo sila sa table na nasa tabi ng bintana. Karina crossed her legs and leaned on her chair. She grinned. 

"We are?" Winter asked. Karina took a sip of her coffee. Winter looks stunning. Nakasuot siya ng denim na jumper at white shirt. Karina smirked.

"Ayaw mo ba?" The older asked. Agad namang umiling si Winter. 

"Nagtanong lang naman ako. Anyway, how's life?" 

"Life is good. Ikaw ba? Met anyone recently?" Tanong ni Karina. Winter looks conflicted. 

"Eh, sa RadioLove ko sana ikkwento sayo. Para may thrill," sabi ni Winter at ngumisi. Things with Yunjin is great. Dinalahan nga siya ng lunch ni Yunjin kahapon.

"You sneaky idiot," Karina exclaimed and shook her head. She cannot believe Winter.

"Do you want to take a bite? Their cheesecake is to die for!" Sabi ni Winter at inilagay ang cheesecake sa gitna nila ni Karina. The latter winced. 

"I don't like sweets, so please, enjoy your cake." Nakangiwing sabi ni Karina habang tinitingnan ang cake. Parang jinujudge niya ang buong form ng cheesecake, 

"Sus. Baka kapag natikman mo yan, bumili ka ng isang buo ha," Winter wiggled her eyebrows at the older girl. Confident siya sa cheesecake niya. 

"Is that a dare, Miss Summer?" Nakataas ang kilay na tanong ni Karina. The younger shrugged. 

"Is it? Come on, try it na. Kapag hindi mo nagustuhan, ako magbabayad sa dinner natin." Sabi naman ni Winter. 

"Dinner?" Nagtatakang tanong ni Karina. She has been busy for the last week, kaya medyo hazy ang memories niya. Anong dinner ang sinasabi ni Winter? May schedule ba sila? 

"Ouch. Ang sakit mo naman, DJ Karina. Nakalimutan mo agad yung dinner." Hinawakan pa ni Winter ang dibdib niya at pumikit pa. She's dramatic. 

Karina sighed and scratch her eyebrow. Maybe, this is the reason why she didn't have a girlfriend. Sobrang makakalimutin niya kasi. 

"Well, I am sorry. How about this, I'm going to taste this cheesecake. And I am going to pay for that dinner, kahit na magustuhan ko itong favorite mo," Sabi ni Karina at ngumiwi. She really hates eating sweets. 

But to make it up to Winter, why not? Hindi niya rin alam bakit gusto niyang makipagbati sakanya. Hindi siya nanunuyo, siya ang sinusuyo. 

"Very good ka talaga! Dali, take a bite!" Iniabot ni Winter ang ginamit niyang tinidor kay Karina. The taller girl sighed and took the fork. 

Kumuha siya ng konting cheesecake at kinagat. She hummed. 

Winter is looking at her expectantly. The cheesecake is too sweet for Karina's liking, but Winter likes the cake. She cleared and washed the sweetness with her coffee's bitterness.

"So? Masarap diba?" Excited na tanong ni Winter. Karina chuckled and nodded her head. 

"It is good. Mapapabili nga siguro ako ng isang buong cheesecake ah." The taller girl joked. Winter smirked at her and crossed her arms. 

"Well, what can I say?" Mayabang niyang tanong. Karina chuckled. Of course, Winter is mayabang. 

"Yabang mo ah. Anyway, I need to go. Malelate na rin kasi ako sa work. A pleasure to meet you as always, Just Winter." Tumayo si Karina. She looked down at Winter and smiled. 

She fixed her bangs.

"Yung dinner ko ha! I'll see you around, DJ Karina!" Sigaw ni Winter sa papaalis na pigura ni Karina. Bakit kaya ang tangkad niya?

Ang ganda ganda pa.

Umiiling na naglakad si Karina. Her apartment is nearby. She looks around while walking down the road. Winter is a fascinating woman. 

She knew na that woman believed in love. But to be that young and forced to find love is a stupid thing. 

Love is not something that is forced. 

Napatigil sa paglalakad si Karina. Nakalimutan niyang bumili ng cheesecake. Tiningnan niya ang relo niya. Kung babalik siya, pwede niya pang maabutan si Winter at ipakita na bumili nga siya ng cheesecake. Pero malelate siya sa work niya. And she's never been late in anything all of her life. 

" it." She turned around and jogged to go back to the cafe. 

Pumasok siya sa cafe at dumeretso sa may counter. Nahagip din ng mata niya si Winter na nakatingin sakanya. She winced. 

"Give me a whole cheesecake." Order niya at iniabot ang card niya. After 5 minutes ay iniabot na sakanya ang box ng cake at card niya. She nodded politely before walking towards Winter. She raised the box in her right hand. 

"I forgot to buy a whole cake." Sabi niya at ngumiti. Winter rolled her eyes playfully before chuckling. 

"Akala ko ba malelate ka na? Bakit ka pa bumalik?" The younger girl asked. 

"I forgot to buy a whole cake." Ulit niya at itinaas ulit ang box. Napailing na lamang si Winter. Karina and her antics. 

"Tara na nga. Hatid na kita sa bahay mo. Baka malate ka pa," tumayo si Winter at naunang maglakad kay Karina. She opened the door and waited for the taller girl to follow her. 

"You don't need to do that, Winter." Sabi ni Karina. The short girl snorted.

"Please. This is the least I can do, no? Tara na." Ngumiti si Winter at inagaw ang cake kay Karina. Nauna siyang maglakad sa parking lot at pinagbuksan ng pinto ang dalaga. 

"You idiot." Natatawang sabi ni Karina.
