"May meeting tayo, girl." Sabi ni Giselle at tinapik ang balikat ni Karina. Isinusulat ni Karina ang mga balita na gagamitin nila mamaya sa isa nilang program para sa radio station. 

Karina is a radio host and a journalist. 

"For what?" Tanong ni Karina at tiningnan ang relo niya. Wala naman silang schedule ng meeting ngayon. She knows. Because she's organized and thorough. 

"May new segment daw para sa 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM slot." Tumayo na si Karina at inayos ang id lace na nakasuot sa neck nya. She walked with Giselle towards the conference room. 

"How are you guys doing?" Tanong ng Producer nila. Karina scoffed. 

"Can we please get straight to the point, Producer Lee? Not everyone's free," sabi niya. The Producer raised a brow before pointing at the PowerPoint presentation. 

"RadioLove. It's a 2-hour segment for love advice. And I want you and Giselle to host it." Karina snickered. Love, for her, is just ridiculous. There's nothing in this world that can change her thinking. 

Sino ba naman kasi ang kayang magpakatanga para lang sa atensyon ng isang tao? 

"Are we done now?" Karina asked. News is more important than this love bull. And she became a journalist for that sole reason. Spread factual news to inform the citizens. 

"Yes. You may go." Sabi ng Producer. Wala naman siyang magagawa kay Karina. The girl is basically the owner of the place. She's the rookie ace, the famous journalist, and the Chairman's only daughter.

Her only flaw is being not able to believe in love. 

"Wonyoung asked if we could grab dinner later." Sabi ni Giselle. Karina groaned. Dinner with their friends is usually more on the chaotic side than peaceful. 

"Can I say no?" Karina asked and looked at her shorter friend. Giselle shook her head.

"If you want hell to break free, be my guest." Umupo si Giselle sa may cubicle nya na katabi lamang ni Karina. 

Karina hummed as she thought of the probable consequences. 

"Yep, we're going." Ibinalik nya ang tingin sa tinatype niyang balita. The inflation rate in the country is so high. 

Ang mga dating affordable ay unti-unti na ring tumataas. This is why she does news. To educate people about the happenings around them.

It is hard to live in a country where even the President tries to manipulate the facts and history. Kahit ang mga grupo na ng statisticians ang nagsabi ng information ay pagsasawalang-bahala na lamang. 

"Seryoso mo naman dyan, girlie." Inilapit ni Giselle ang swivel chair nya kay Karina at sinilip ang desktop niya. She saw her busy reading about the current news. 

"Go away and do your job, Gigi." Sabi ni Karina at inirapan si Giselle. 

"Ang seryoso mo naman kasi, Kars. How about going on a blind date with me? It'll be fun." Sabi ni Giselle at sinundot-sundot ang right cheek ni Karina. The latter continued typing on her keyboard. Wala siyang interes sa blind dates, or dates in general.

"I don't want to waste my time, Giselle." 

"Kaya tatanda kang dalaga e. Mauuna pa ata sayo yung baby sister ko magka-jowa." Giselle teased and went back to her spot. 

"Geez. Why are you so obsessed with me?" Tanong ni Karina. Giselle rolled her eyes.

"Syempre! Ayoko namang tumanda ka ng hindi man lang nakapag-date." 

Tumigil si Karina sa ginagawa at tiningnan ang kaibigan. 

"I am fine on my own, Gi. Dagdag sakit sa ulo lang yan," sabi niya at tumayo. 5:00 PM na rin naman kasi at ibang host ang magbabalita sa isang program. 

"Where are you going?" 

"It's already 5:00 PM, stupid." Umirap si Karina at kinuha ang coat at bag niya. She walked towards the elevator without looking back. Susunod naman si Giselle dahil wala siyang dalang sasakyan. 

"Hoy! Wait lang naman! Nagmamadali?" Giselle asked and held her arm. Karina chuckled.

"Bagal mo."

Habang nagddrive papunta sa restaurant si Karina, ay iniisip nya kung bakit naisipan ng station nila ang magbago ng segment. 

And to top all of that, she would be one of the DJs. Ang ironic lang na kung sino pa ang walang experience siya pa ang naging host.

Ano ba namang alam niya sa love? 

"Ang lalim ah." Sabi ni Giselle na nag-cecellphone sa tabi niya. Karina raised a brow.

"What's so important about love that we created a whole new segment for it?" She blurted out. Ibinaba ni Giselle ang phone niya sa lap niya at tiningnan ang kaibigan. 

"Love is nothing and everything, Karina."

"See? Ang contradictory naman ng passage na 'yan. How does one become nothing and everything at the same time?" Ipinark niya ang kotse niya sa parking space na nakita niya. Tiningnan nya si Giselle. 

She is very thankful for the girl. Kahit na hindi sila pareho ng pananaw sa ibang bagay, she continues to educate her. And as a journalist and a person, one should not feel afraid of being educated. Hindi nga dapat naooffend. 

"You'll know soon enough, Karina. Pumasok na tayo at baka naiinip na sila Wonyoung." Lumabas ng kotse si Giselle at hinintay na makalabas din si Karina.

"You're so matagal," bungad ni Wonyoung. Hindi pa nakakaupo ang dalawa ay masesermonan na agad sila. Karina raised a brow. 

"Traffic is an everyday issue, Wonyoung." Sabi ng nakakatanda. Kinuha niya ang menu at nagtingin ng pwedeng iorder.

"How's work?" Liz asked. 

"Work is still work. May nagbabago ba sa work?" Tanong ni Giselle. Liz rolled her eyes. Sobrang sarcastic talaga.

"But seriously, anything new?" Kinuha ni Chaeryeong ang wine glass niya sa table at uminom.

"I'll become a love guru without even having experience at all." Napatawa naman ang tatlo nilang kaibigan. They cannot fathom hearing Karina's possible advice to the listeners. 

Baka mamaya ay murahin lang niya at sabihan ng bobo.

"Malay mo naman, diyan mo mamemeet ang The One mo," biro ni Chaeryeong at nagkibit-balikat. 

Karina stared at them hard. 

"Please, I think I might need tons of drinks before actually doing that ." Karina frowned. Bahala na siguro si Batman.
