After listening to the news told by Shinwoo, Jinyoung didn’t think he could smile any wider as he hung up. Baro and Jinyoung had been waiting for the past couple hours outside of the hospital, out of sight from anyone. 

     “So… the news is good?” Baro asked, feeling his heart beat faster. 

     “Nae,” Jinyoung beamed as he stuck his phone in his pocket. “They’re going to try a new experimental treatment that has a good chance of bringing him back.”

     “That’s fantastic! I can’t wait to see Sandeul again.” Baro corrected himself, “I mean, even though he’s been with us all along, it didn’t always seem like it. Hey, hyung… Why did you lie on the phone and say that we’ve made up? We haven’t said anything since they brought Sandeul into the ER. So, does this mean you’re going to apologize first, correct?” he leaned against the wall, with his arms folded. 

     “Ahni,” Jinyoung shook his head as he tried to extinguish his sudden spark of anger. “I already said I was sorry when I returned to Shinwoo’s apartment. You’re the one who still needs to apologize. There’s no use in fighting anymore, Baro,” Jinyoung muttered as his anger was replaced by sadness. “Sandeul wouldn’t want to see us fighting.”

     Baro didn’t look at Jinyoung as he continued standing in the same stance, leaning against the wall. He refused to say anything for the next hour, until Gongchan and Shinwoo returned with joyous grins. “Hey, you’re back!” Baro softened up once he saw the other two come around the corner. “Is Sandeul awake? Can we see him?”

     “It’s going to take longer than that,” Gongchan answered, his happiness dimming. “The doctor told us it could be days… or even months before he’s conscious. So, he said it would be best to go home and wait a few days before we return.”

     “He’s in good hands though,” Shinwoo added. “I… might’ve read this doctor’s reviews online and he seems to be top of the line. Also, Sandeul’s parents showed up as we left. All we can do is hope for the best now.”

     “At least we have each other,” the smile re Gongchan’s face. “Now that we’re officially back together, we can survive anything, right guys?”

     Jinyoung and Baro were a bit hesitant, but they both gave awkward smiles, chuckling, “Right…”

     Shinwoo’s eyes glared in suspicion, but didn’t interrogate them. He especially didn’t ruin Gongchan’s happiness after all the distress they had been through that day. “So… Are you three hungry? My aunt and uncle called to invite us over for supper.”

     “Yes, please,” Gongchan answered, finally noticing how hungry he was. The other two nodded, still being unusually silent as they tried to disguise their emotions.

     Shinwoo led them away from the hospital as he thought of a way to phrase the question on his mind. Were Jinyoung and Baro covering up something?
