Her home

3 Identities of my Mysterious Wife

The trip ended too fast for all of their likings, and they soon returned to their ordinary lives of working and doing nothing but being busy.

Mihye worked at home, using her computer to search for possible candidates for the CEO of J.Tunes and the board of directors. She had no clue.

And she had no way to determine if the cases of were all done by a single person in the six, or all of them together. She promised to find the real culprit and send him to jail with her own strength, but she had no way of knowing who. It was highly frustrating.

There came a day when she finally got a chance to take her mind off things, when L.Joe told her that they were going for a dinner and dance ball that was hosted by his company, and all the listed companies in the industry were going to turn up. There would be more than two hundred guests, and L.Joe confessed that even he didn't know all of them personally.

Mihye began panicking for what to wear, knowing that she had an image to keep as L.Joe's wife, and doing something wrong would not only embarrass her but her husband, which was what she feared. The flower sisters rendered their service willingly, and came over with a dozen beautiful dresses, forcing Mihye to try every single one of them till they picked the perfect one.

Kevin came to help by running errands, like passing the brusher, buying the hair curler, ironing the dresses and stuff. He watched in amazement as they transformed the innocent beauty Mihye into a sophisticated and alluring beauty. He could only spazz inwardly as he watched her, his heart pounding in his chest as he recognized her beauty.

At seven fifteen sharp, just as L.Joe said he would, the husband arrived in the doorway, ready to pick his wife up for the dance. He waited impatiently, not for the fact that they were pressed for time, but instead trying to suppress the desire to see his wife.

She finally came down the stairs in a stunning velvet purple dress, looking completely enchanting and breathtaking. L.Joe gaped at her, gulping hard as she walked towards him in dainty steps, with a shy smile lighting her features. "Byunghun oppa? Do I look okay?" she murmured.

*Far from okay. You look awesome.* L.Joe thought. He smiled softly and took her hand, leading her to the car like the gentleman he was. "You'll be the most beautiful woman there. Trust me." he whispered.

Mihye pinked. "Ayye no way." she muttered humbly but L.Joe threw her a knowing look. He just hoped that he could keep his eyes off her long enough so that they wouldn't get into an accident while he drove.

And he was right. She was definitely the most beautiful woman out of the whole affair. Heads turned when the two of them walked in, stunned by the beauty of the new Mrs Lee, that even outshined the charm of her husband. The brightest couple ever, strode in, looking loving as ever, as L.Joe went to get her a drink.

Mihye was reluctant for L.Joe to go, but he assured he would be back soon. She nodded nervously and fidgeted in the corner, not knowing what to do.

She didn't know a single person out of the whole ballroom, except for the Teen Top members whom she hoped would spot her and come talk to her. She caught sight of Chunji with his female companion which looked really like him, making her deduce that she was his sister. Ricky and Changjo didn't come with anyone, and already stationed themselves at the snack table.

They didn't notice her, and she could only stand at the corner, smiling softly at passing guests and hoping that they wouldn't talk to her.

But of course, that didn't come true.

A man of an extremely good build came walking towards her and passed her a drink. Mihye accepted it nervously, looking about for L.Joe. She saw that he was held up by some business associates and feverently hoped that he could settle it faster. She didn't want to depend on him because she was an independent woman, but she was afraid that if she blurted something wrong without his guidiance, she could effectively cause him trouble instead.

"Hi, the most beautiful lady of the night, standing alone at the corner?" the guy raised his brows.

Mihye pinked. She noted that he was really dashing and good looking, but the word that suited him the most was "hot." Yes, Mihye thought a guy was hot, and dear me, if she didn't I'd really question her ual preference.

The apparently very hot and y guy smiled teasingly at her, admiring her blush. "You flatter me." Mihye murmured. The guy shook his head. "I don't lie, Miss." He looked at her. "Alone tonight? It can't be. Who did you come with? Your brother, I hope?"

"My husband." Mihye responded. "Lee Byunghun." she looked at him.

The man's face fell. "Ah married I see." he nodded. "Should have known such a beautiful girl was taken." he smirked at her. "The name's Rain, by the way."

"Rain?" Mihye looked confused. "Isn't that-"

"Mihye? Who is this?" L.Joe appeared at her side, looking at the new guy he didn't see before. Rain bowed politely. "I'll be off, CEO Lee." he looked at the both of them and his gaze lingered on Mihye for a moment before he turned to go.

And it was at that instant that Mihye caught sight of it. The necklace. J.T.

Her eyes widened and she tried to locate that man again, but he disappeared from sight like a ninja. L.Joe waved his hands in front of her face and frowned when he saw that she was deathly pale. "Mihye, you don't look good." he frowned, feeling her forehead. "Do you feel unwell? Why do you look so pale?" he asked worriedly.

Mihye shook her head. "It's nothing Byunghun oppa. I'm just...overwhelmed by the whole affair." she fibbed, her eyes still searching for that man, Rain.

L.Joe chuckled knowingly and caressed her cheek. "Don't worry Mihye. Just pretend there's only you and me here. There's no need to be bothered by the other people here. They look at you because they're just jealous of you." he tapped her nose.

Mihye finally turned her sight on him when she couldn't find that Rain guy. L.Joe held out his hand with a crooked smile. "Dance with me?"

Mihye nodded and took his hand, hoping that she could spot that Rain guy from the dance floor. The other dancers on the ballroom immediately parted a path for the most glamourous couple as L.Joe led them both to the middle of the dancefloor.

A slow danced just at that moment and L.Joe thanked the DJ for the precise moment. He pulled Mihye close to him and wrapped his arms round her waist, putting Mihye's around his neck. He saw Mihye looking about, seemingly searching for something and he frowned. "Looking for something?"

Mihye looked at him. "Did you invite someone called Rain?" she asked. "Is he the CEO of J.Tunes?"

L.Joe raised his brows at her. "Rain? I don't think i know anyone called Rain." he said thoughtfully. "And you know J.Tunes. I did invite them but no one knows who their CEO and board of directors are. Perhaps that Rain you're talking about is really the CEO then."

Mihye bit her lip. *Finally. Some clue.* she sighed.

L.Joe tilted her head up to look at him. "Something wrong? You look bothered." he commented. "Don't worry, you're doing fine."

Mihye smiled softly at him and slowly relaxed. L.Joe grinned, satisfied, when he finally felt her relaxing in his arms, and he pulled her closer unconsciously. Their faces were inches apart as they stared at each other, swaying to the music. The charge was wild between them, even the air seemed to buzz with excitement.

They couldn't look away as the emotions built up between them. *Why do I feel like this?* Mihye swallowed, her cheeks turning pink.

L.Joe had to do something to get rid of that pent up emotions. But he didn't know what to do. There were too many restrictions. She didn't love him. They were going to get divorced.

But he wanted to kiss her. Badly.

L.Joe leaned forward and pressed his lips against her forehead instead, savouring the smooth skin and releasing some of his affections. Mihye reddened and buried her face in his chest, not daring to look at him. He chucked deeply and held her closer.

There came a tap of his shoulder and he saw his father smiling at him. "Can we exchange parters? I want to dance with my daughter-in-law too."

L.Joe nodded reluctantly and danced with his mother, his eyes not leaving Mihye. He knew his mother was talking to him but he couldn't hear a word she said. Finally, she waved her hands in front of his eyes and his gaze snapped towards his mother. "Neh?"

Mrs Lee shook his head at him, though pleased. "You can have her back after this dance so just pay attention to your mother won't you?" she teased. "Did you even hear my question?"

L.Joe blinked. "What question?"

Mrs Lee rolled her eyes. "I asked, has Mihye visited her home yet? She's already married to you for a whole three and a half months. Did it even cross your mind that she might want to visit home?"

L.Joe's eyes widened. *!*

Mrs Lee shook her head. "I assume not." she clicked her tongue. "She must be missing her parents. Bring her home for a bit, okay son?"

L.Joe nodded, glad that his mother was this wise. His eyes strayed to Mihye again. *Why hasn't she talked about going home?* he wondered. *I bet she's missing her parents too. I wish she'd just open up about her needs sometimes. There's no need to take the burden of everything herself.*
