It's okay without love

3 Identities of my Mysterious Wife

As soon as L.Joe parked his car, he felt this intimidating presence radiating from the inside of the club he often frequented: Spades.

Correction: Presences.

Even before he got off the car, he already saw his five brotherly like friends waving to him and gesturing for him to follow into the club. They were good friends since birth, calling themselves Teen Top, six handsome and rich boys getting together to make a wonderfully female-attractive group.

All of them were filthy rich, but L.Joe was the richest. But with money, comes sacrifice and that marriage with Mihye was just what L.Joe had to pay in return.

He often got envious of s who didn't need to marry someone they didn't love. To L.Joe, what mattered wasn't the looks, the body, the status. It was how he felt about that girl that made him want to protect her for life.

But of course his fellow members couldn't really see the point and couldn't help getting excited over L.Joe's wife-to-be. Which was actually the basis for their mid-week meeting that night, really.

"Is she pretty, hyung?" Changjo asked immediately.

Ricky followed next. "Does she have a good figure?"

"s?" Chunji inquired with shining eyes.

"How does her voice sound like? An angel?" Neil asked excitedly.

"Does she smell?"

All of them turned to look at CAP with bewildered faces while the leader just shrugged. "What? I wouldn't want my wife to smell." he muttered like it was the most obvious thing to ask.

L.Joe just rolled his eyes at s and settled back down. "She's okay. She agreed to my deal." he grinned, ordering a drink for himself to celebrate his single status - 6 months later.

Chunji looked at him in interest. "Eh?" he seemed as astounded as the others. "She actually agreed to your stupid plan? I thought if a woman manages to get the oh so great Lee Byunghun into her hands, she'd never let him go."

L.Joe shrugged. He bit his lip in thought. "That's what I assumed as well, but apparently she's different. She didn't even squeal when she talked to me." he tapped his chin, thinking. "In fact I think I even stuttered more than her." his eyes widened at the realization.

"Woah~" maknae couple Ricky and Changjo chorused in response.

Neil seemed interested in knowing about his sister-in-law. "How is she like really? How can she agree so to this so quickly? Isn't she scared of how she might not be able to find another husband in our society if she was a divorcee?"

L.Joe lowered his gaze. He never thought of things from Mihye's view and now that he did, it seemed even more strange than ever. Their society was only the beginning of gender revolution, and minds weren't that opened and adaptable to change yet. No one would ever want Mihye if she had already divorced and was "touched" by another man.

L.Joe was a different example if he ever divorced. First, he was a man so he had the right to choose, and more over he was a man highly sought for. A second marriage was easy.

"I really don't know." L.Joe admitted. He couldn't tell what was going on in Mihye's mind at all. That girl was a mystery.

He shrugged and downed his glass. "But that doesn't matter does it?" he grinned. "She's willing and that's all that matters. I'm going to be single again, 6 months later!" he cheered.

Glasses clinked together as the six of them offered L.Joe a toast. They attracted a whole lot of attention from neighbouring scantily dressed women but they were used to it.

"Hey! You haven't told us how she looks like yet? Is she pretty?" Changjo asked, curious.

L.Joe shrugged. "Just a bit better than average." he drank his drink silently. *A whole lot better, in fact.* He scanned the crowd and his eyes never lingered on any one woman. *I wonder if the girl I will marry again next time will be prettier than she is.*

"Talk." Hyomin slammed her palms on the table. "Now."

Jiyeon, Hyomin, Qri and Mihye were sitting in a cafe near Mihye's house for their afternoon chat. Jiyeon, Hyomin and Qri were sisters and they were friends with Mihye for a long long time. They knew about Mihye's involvement with the Women Organization, being the Queen, and they were even members of it.

But the issue today wasn't about women's rights or gender inequality or whatnot, a more pressing matter was at hand: Mihye's husband-to-be.

Mihye stirred her coffee leisurely. "What do you want to know?" she asked in wonder. "I met him, that's all. He's just another guy." she shrugged. *A cute guy.* she added in her mind.

"Nothing interesting happened?" Qri frowned. "Come on, spill. You're going to have to spend the rest of your life with this man, Mihye. I expect more of a reaction than that."

Mihye grinned at the three of them. "Not for the rest of my life, just six months." she giggled.

"Eh?" the three flower sisters blinked and chorused in response.

Mihye sighed in content as she bit into a fruit tart. "His name is Lee Byunghun as you know." she started. "I didn't know how to go about telling him not to expect me to love him, when he himself suggested that we divorce six months later."

A gasp rang throughout the three sisters. Mihye sent a look at the dramatic triplets and continued. "I don't want to marry unless I love someone." she mumbled. "And he doesn't want to marry me either. He suggested divorcing six months later when his father has already given him full control of the company. We can just tell our parents we didn't work out."

Jiyeon cocked her head to the side. "But when that happens, you won't be able to marry again, Mihye unnie." she whispered. "No one would want a divorcee."

Qri and Hyomin nodded, turning to look at Mihye in puzzlement. Mihye laughed a lovely laugh. "If that man doesn't love me enough to look over that fact, I might as well not marry him." she declared. "Besides, there isn't a need to marry. I can stay single all my life and help other women." she beamed.

Hyomin rolled her eyes. "Don't come telling us you're lonely when we're seventy." she muttered. She looked at Mihye worriedly. "But don't you think that matters? He won't love you. You won't love him. This marriage...won't it be difficult?"

Mihye shrugged and sipped on her coffee. "This isn't a marriage of love. This is a marriage of convenience and need." she smiled softly. "It's okay without love. It's okay."
