A trip to Kevin's home

3 Identities of my Mysterious Wife

"You seem happier." Kevin commented.

Mihye smiled lightly and nodded. "Yeah. At first I was troubled by the things happening in the Women's Organization but now I'm feeling better." she confessed. "I think Byunghun oppa bringing me out yesterday really helped." she beamed.

"Oh." Kevin's face fell. He sighed as he drank the hot chocolate, feeling redundant.

*Of course she's happy because of her husband she loves, not me.* he made a face to himself. *Aish...*

"Come to think of it, that's Byunghun's first date." Kevin tapped his chin. "I don't think he ever went on a date before."

Mihye's eyes widened. "Really?" she gasped. "How is that possible? He's Lee Byunghun! Rich and handsome and everything!"

Kevin flinched at her unintended praise for her husband. He nodded. "Yeah. I don't think Byunghun ever had a girlfriend." he told her what he knew despite his own feelings. "He never accepted any girl's confession even though he's popular amongst them. I don't think he ever went on a date like this before."

"Woah. I didn't know." Mihye blinked. "I thought he'd have tons of girlfriends before because of his status and all." she tapped her chin. She shook her head. "Woah I really didn't expect that."

"But I guess he still did good on his first date then." Kevin commented drily.

"I had fun." Mihye admitted. She smiled at the memory. "I think Byunghun oppa wasn't that used to places like that before but he got used to it in the end." she smiled at him. "I'm glad I have a friend like you too, Kevin oppa. Talking to you liike this makes me happy too."

Kevin froze. His cheeks rapidly turned pink and he looked away to hide his blush. His heart thumped loudly and swelled with pride.

Mihye, who didn't know what was going on to him, went on to think about her slight crush on that Club Hottie she danced with a few nights ago. She suddenly wondered how he was doing, and her heart started pounding at his gentlemanly but y moves.

*Stop thinking about him already Choi Mihye! How many nights of sleep do you want to sacrifice because of that guy!* she scolded herself.

Both Kevin and Mihye were nudged out of their thoughts when a loud ringtone rang. Mihye immediately checked her phone but was surprised when it wasn't hers. It was Kevin's.

"Oh neh.." Kevin answered. "Seungji ah. What? You feel sick? Is Umma at home?" Kevin frowned. "But oppa's working right now and I can't go home now. Does it really hurt?"

Mihye frowned and shook his head at him. Kevin looked at her curiously.

"It's okay. Just go." she told him. "You don't have to be here all the time. There isn't much to do around the house."

"Really?" Kevin asked, uncertain.

Mihye sent him an assuring smile and Kevin smiled back gratefully. "Oh Seungji ah.. just wait a while more alright? Oppa will rush home right now. Wait for oppa okay?"

"What happened?" Mihye asked, anxious.

"My little sister is sick and my mother's not at home to take care of her." Kevin looked really worried. "Are you sure I can go home to take care of her?"

Mihye nodded and grabbed her jacket. "Yeah. And I'll go with you."

"HUH?" Kevin yelped in surprise. Mihye grabbed his hand and dragged him out with her. "No time! Your sister's sick! I'll help out too so let's go!" she ran without knowing which direction his house was.

"It's the other way!" Kevin pulled her along and Mihye fumbled, running in the opposite way. The two ran like never before, only worried about Kevin's little sister's health.

"Seungji ah.. Oppa's here! Are you alright?" kevin burst into his house.

"O-oppa? I'm in the room!" a weak voice could be heard. Kevin and Mihye rushed into one of the bedrooms where Seungji was resting on bed. Kevin immediately rushed to his sister's side, worry etched all over his face.

"What happened? Where are you feeling pain?" Kevin asked, his face pale.

Mihye sat on the other side of the bed and felt Seungji's forehead. "Hey I think she's having a fever. We need to bring the temperature down." she muttered. "I'll bring a cold towel." she darted off.

Seungji opened her eyes tiredly to look at her oppa. "Kevin oppa...I don't feel good." she complained.

Kevin hugged his 8 year old sister and rocked them to and fro. "I'm sorry I'm always not around for you Seungji." he whispered. "I'll take away the pain from you if I can."

"It's okay oppa." Seungji smiled tiredly. Kevin caressed his sister's cheeks, feeling guilt wash all over him.

Mihye returned with the wet towels and she put one on Seungji's head, while using another one to wash Seungji's arms and hands. "It's Seungji right?" Mihye cooed in a comforting voice. "It hurts a lot right? But I'm sure Seungji is a strong girl and she'll get over this. Fighting Seungji ah~"

Seungji opened her eyes slightly and smiled. "Gomawo Pretty Unnie." she closed them again and drifted off to sleep.

Kevin softened at the sight, grateful for Mihye to be there with him since he didn't really  know what to do. Seungji slowly went to sleep and Mihye hummed a soft lullaby whie arranging the things in her room and tucking her in.

She slowly gestured to Kevin and both of them went to the living room to let Seungji sleep in peace. "Thanks." was the first thing Kevin said when they went out. "I wouldn't have known what to do if you weren't here."

Mihye smiled. "Don't worry. Just look after her and change her towel frequently." she told him. "I'll look around your kitchen to see if there are any ingredients for porridge or the sort."

Kevin watched as her go and he let out a sigh of relief that he held in for a long time. He smiled softly as he watched her go, warmth engulfing his every fibre of being.

*I'm really thankful for her.* he thought. *Choi Mihye. How much more perfect can you get?*

"Nice?" Mihye wiped Seungji's lips as she finished feeding the latter the porridge she made.

Seungji nodded and beamed at Mihye. "Gomawo Mihye unnie. You're so nice and pretty."

Mihye patted Seungji's head and made the latter lie down. "Arraso. Go to sleep and rest." she went out with the dirty bowls to clean.

Seungji smiled up at her brother. "Oppa..is Mihye unnie your girlfriend?"

Kevin reddened. "Aniya! She's married already!" he fussed, embarrassed. He fluffed the pillows and made Seungji close her eyes. "Don't sprout nonsense."

Seungji pouted. "Awww...I would have loved if Mihye unnie became Kevin oppa's wife. She's really nice."

Kevin smiled. "She is isn't she?" he caressed his sister's forehead. *Even your oppa's having a hard time trying not to fall in love with her.*
