BEFORE APPLYING:

01. All faceclaims must be years of age internationally, of Asian descent, and linked to the South Korean entertainment industry in order to join. Faceclaims that are not allowed to be played: those involved in major scandals, criminal activity, and ongoing legal investigations; social media influencers and freelance models; social-politically controversial persons; are married or have children; those who are no longer in the entertainment industry; and the deceased.

02. Enlisted faceclaims are allowed so long as your portrayal of their activity is reasonably accurate.

03. We do not accept moving couples.

04. Inclusivity of all ual and romantic identities is a given. We do not tolerate any level of harassment or microaggression towards any ual or romantic orientation. Offense in this aspect towards anyone in our community warrants a course of action.

05. Any issues, negative ties, and judgments towards any other directory, community, and persons should not be brought here. Leave that baggage at the door before even considering to apply.


RESERVING & APPLYING:

01. Currently, applications are processed 3 days a week: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Reservations are processed daily.

02. Reservations last for 48 hours starting from when we post them and can be made anonymously. A password is required when reserving that you must provide on the application form as well. Reserving a faceclaim that was just freed up from our masterlist must be made off anonymous for 48 hours from the free-to-play announcement.

03. We only accept Tumblr and Asianfanfics as valid points of contact. We don’t accept Twitter or any other form of SNS. We don’t look at activity on these accounts as they’re simply a way to contact you. Asianfanfics accounts must be at least 6 months old. Make sure your account settings allow us to message you.

04. Pending applications are posted on both Tumblr and Asianfanfics usually the same day a person applies. If it has been over 24 hours since you applied and you do not see updates, feel free to message one of our platforms and ask if we received your application. In most of these instances, we likely did not receive anything or it was mistakenly overlooked.


SETTING UP YOUR ACCOUNT:

01. Your display name should just be your muse’s full legal name or their stage name. It should only be in English with no use of special characters, fonts, emojis, or numbers.

02. You must have “Meraki” or a “🥀” (wilted rose emoji) somewhere on your profile. It can be anywhere, it just needs to be there.

03. Your muse’s relationship status and uality must clearly be stated on your profile to avoid misunderstandings and uncomfortable situations. Boundaries and orientations must be respected.

04. In your settings, set contacts feed and groups under feed preferences to “new posts”. Make sure your contact list is visible to all contacts, which can be toggled under privacy & sharing.

05. You may reuse an old or already existing account for our roleplay, and you can keep old timeline posts. If you choose to do the latter, make sure to make a post indicating that you have joined a new roleplay before you start posting here.


AFTER ACCEPTANCE:

01. The link to the admin account will be on your acceptance post here on Tumblr. You will have 48 hours from when we post your acceptance to set up your account and add us.

02. Once we accept your request, you will be invited to join the official groups and sent a welcome message. Be sure to read the entire message. You are not allowed to add anyone in the roleplay until you have been announced. Failure to accept the invites to the groups within 48 hours results in automatic removal.

03. You will have 48 hours from your welcome post to make a timeline post and 72 hours to make an introduction post. If you don’t do either of these in time, your faceclaim will be freed up unless you manage to contact us for an extension. You’ll have an additional 24 hours to post your intro and/or timeline post, but failure to do so by then will result in being removed.


ROLEPLAY ETIQUETTE:

01. There is no tolerance for plagiarism, be it character creation, bios, writing, and even profiles. Removals and bans can be issued if we feel they are warranted.

02. IC drama is perfectly fine so long as it stays IC and is consented on both ends OOC. It is the involved parties’ responsibility to keep IC drama from escalating OOC. OOC drama is not tolerated, but we understand things happen anyway and we’ll intervene if necessary. If you approach us with a troubling issue that involve others, then you MUST bring proof to support your claims if you want us to step in. We don’t go by hearsay or baseless claims.

03. We are a roleplay, not a roleplay. You are allowed to and very much encouraged to create ual muses, but please don’t join this roleplay solely to with no other intentions.

04. Groupchats can move fast and messages can be overlooked. Groupchats are for very public socializing. People may talk over each other. It happens. This does not mean you are being ignored, so try not to take things personally.

05. If you want to make a timeline post or put something on your story that you acknowledge could be potentially triggering, then please preface with a proper trigger warning or disclaimer of some sort.

06. No bubble roleplaying, faceclaim hogging, clique behavior, excluding muses due to conflict, godmodding, metagaming, breaking the fourth wall, mixing IC and OOC, face/ship/chasing, and pressuring or guilting anyone to reply to you. pa.ss.wo.rd is your favorite season. All of these things warrant removals and blacklisting if we deem fit.

07. For your first character change, you are allowed to make that whenever you’d like when you join us as a new member of our roleplay and if you bring in a second character. After your first change, you have to wait 2 weeks in between each character change. If we notice you are overdoing it, we’ll ask you to stop for a while.

08. There is a dating ban of 3 weeks. s do not matter if your muse is years of age internationally, they are free to do whatever they want. However, if your muse is 19 years old internationally, then an of up to 3 years is allowed for all romantic relationships and ual encounters.

09. Marriages and non-monogamous relationships (polyamory, open relationships, etc.) are allowed. Full-term pregnancies, where your muse births and/or raises an actual child, are not allowed (however, pregnancy scares and terminations are allowed).


ACTIVITY PROTOCOL:

01. The number of emojis on a post is not above engaging with the post itself, and the comments under a post are purposeless if there are no attempts made at a conversation. Everyone is required to reply to every comment they receive on their posts and attempt at starting a conversation. Please also make sure to emoji your own posts.

02. Activity checks are held weekly and are monitored Monday through Sunday. To complete the activity check, you must do the following:

• Make 1 timeline post every 7 days.
• Reply to ALL comments under all of your posts.
• Comment on 2 timeline posts on 2 separate days, OR post 1 public starter or write 1 reply to a public thread in the “threads” group.
• Provide proof by commenting under the week’s post in the “activity” group.

03. We give 2 strikes total to each person who fails to complete an activity check in its entirety. A third strike means removal. Those who miss all the boxes to meet the week’s activity check get automatically removed.

04. New members are exempt from completing the ongoing activity check of the week they join. Your only responsibilities are to 1) post your introduction and 2) post your first timeline post. You will be removed if you don’t complete either of these things without notice.

05. Semi-hiatuses last up to 3 weeks and require that you either 1) make 1 timeline post every 7 days or 2) leave your 2 comments on other timeline posts every week. Full hiatuses last up to 2 weeks and exempts you from all activity. You don’t have to reply to the comments under your posts while on hiatus. You can’t go on another hiatus of any kind for 3 weeks after your expected return date. You have 24 hours after the day you’re supposed to return to make a timeline post. You will be removed if you don’t. Of course, your real life comes first, so just talk to us for special circumstances and we will work with you.

06. You can have up to 2 muses here. You can apply for a second muse 2 weeks after your first muse’s welcome post. You have ask for our approval before applying for a second muse. We will deny you automatically if you don’t. If your first muse is an idol, then you can’t apply to play another member of that same idol group. We don’t allow premature reservations for a second muse for members within our community. Please just wait until your 2 weeks is up.

07. Lastly, roleplay doesn’t come before real life. The muse doesn’t come before the mun. While we put heavy emphasis on raw, unfiltered writing and interactions, please remember that the point is to have fun so don’t stress too much about your activity. Just talk to us if you need anything, and don’t apologize for being busy. We hope to see you at Meraki soon!
