Do you want any?
Pleasant Imagines, JinjooYujin pauses in the middle of her artwork. She looks up. "Ah, I'm hungry." Her stomach grumbles softly. It's nearing midnight. "But I have to finish this by tomorrow." she looks at her half-done landscape sketch.
She works as a freelance illustrator.
"Whatever." she puts down her pencil, dusting her hands. She walks out of her study room and heads to the pantry downstairs.
Yujin opens the lower cabinet to find nothing but emptiness. "Did she finish everything?" she scratches her head and closes the cabinet. Minju can really be a huge eater. Yujin swore they just went grocery shopping last week.
"I'll just go to the convenience store." she stands up with her lower back cracking. "I am getting old."
She went to the shelf at the door to take her wallet. "Does she want anything?" she mumbles, kicking off her slippers.
Yujin drags her feet across the hallway towards their room, opening the door as she peeks her head in. She thought Minju might be asleep but she's wide awake typing away on her laptop.
"I'm going to the store, do you want anything?"
"Nope."
Yujin narrows her eyes in suspicion. "You sure? There's ramen." she knows how much the girl loves midnight snacks.
"My face would get puffy in the morning." Minju shakes her head.
Yujin watched her continue her work. "Very sure?" she asks once more.
Minju looks up. "You better not steal mine when I come back later," Yujin warns, slowly walking backwards.
She pokes her head through the door again. "You're very sure you don't want any?" Minju nods.
"Okay." Yujin proceeds to go to the store.

The happy girl enters the house with light feet, swinging the plastic bag in her hand as she closes the door.
She stopped walking when she saw Minju sitting on the living room couch. Yujin stealthily slips off her slippers, eyes not wanting to make eye contact with her girlfriend.
She quickly scampers into the kitchen when Minju asks, "What did you buy?"
Yujin inhales deeply. It's not like she didn't expect any of this. But unlike any other day where she gets extra, she didn't today. She turns to see Minju trying to peek over the kitchen counter.
"You said you didn't want any." Yujin slowly settles the plastic bag on the table. "Yeah." Minju's eyes spoke differently. They certainly were aiming at the bag filled with Yujin's supper.
