She became his first officer, but little did he know that she was going to be his doom...

Tick. Tock. 

The ticking noise echoed the room as Beakhyun was sitting at his desk in the office and looking at the paper that was in front of him. The two men that had joined him, didn't dare to say a word. They were doomed and they knew that very well. The latter took a few deep breaths, as he tilted his head to the side, narrowing his eyes in disbelief at what was in front of him. He was furious about the mistake that had happened, as it was something that should have never been allowed in the first place, but it was, and now he found himself in a dilemma. Baekhyun sighed, closing his eyes and massaging his temples. 

"Why wasn't this reported to me right away?" He raised his eyebrow. "Haven't I been clear about accidents? Especially in a location outside of this airport!" Baekhyun hissed through his teeth, causing the two men to take a step back. "I have to hear it from the media! Your asses are lucky I was not here!"

"W-we're s-sorry..." One of the men stuttered as he kept looking down. 

"Sorry doesn't cut it!" He crumbled the papers in his hands. "You are suspended until further notice! Out!" He pointed towards the door. 

As the two men left, Baekhyun picked up the phone and dialed a number, tapping his finger against the table as he waited for someone to answer. Anger in him wasn't any smaller, and it only kept growing with every passing second. 

"Hello?" The voice from the other side said.

"Finally!" Beakhyun fired at the male. "Did you get a hold of the black box and the ATC recording?"

"You will have it by 10 on your table, Byun." 

"I better!" With those words, he slammed the phone down. 

Baekhyun was tolerant of a lot of things, but when it came to business, mistakes were not allowed. Especially not mistakes that could cost the lives of people and the company itself. He hated being strict but at times he had no choice, and those were the worst moments for him. He didn't like to suspend or fire anyone but at times he was given no choice, and that was the thing he hated the most about his job. Due to that for some, he was arrogant, heartless, and whatnot. But what was he supposed to do? Let them have their own way? Do what they please? Destroy everything? Not under Baekhyun's watch.

He sighed in frustration, running his hand through his blond hair. He was aware that he had no time to think about this right now, as he had an appointment at 9, The thought of that had actually made him excited. He liked meeting new people and he liked giving others a chance to prove themselves. Each and everyone who joined the company was like family and Baekhyun made that clear as day. That was what made his airline different from others.

The male got up from his seat, fixing his suit and making sure that he had the files that he needed. He had done some quick research about the new members, now all that was left to do was to meet them. He made his way out of the office and straight down the hallway. The airport was full, as usual, but thankfully there were no delays, so at least he didn't have to deal with that trouble. The job was being dealt with very well and he was proud of each and every person in his company, and for that, they will of course be awarded a pay raise.

See, that was the thing about Baekhyun, on the outside he seemed cold, but on the inside was a very sweet person, once one gets to know him. He loved rewarding his employees. Only haters had something bad to say, but he didn't give a damn about that. He had his way of dealing with things, and he had his moments. He had his rules. Just as much he respects others, he wanted others to respect them. For people who are close to him, he was the best son, friend, and brother out there. It was all fun and games for him. His personality and behavior all depended on the situation. Business was business and fun was fun. Due to that people created stories they wished were true but did they really affect him? No.

Baekhyun reached the room and walked inside, causing everyone to suddenly stand up and bow as a sign of greets. He slightly bowed his head and motioned them to sit back down. That of course was a good gesture from them, but it was alright. There was no need for that, as he didn't want them to feel like they were in the military. He walked over to Chanyeol as he looked at the notebook in front of him. 

"I see," Baekhyun nodded his head in confirmation. "In that case, cancel them." 

Seven out of the possible ten people that have been called appeared today, for those who haven't... they missed their chance to prove themselves and Baekhyun really didn't want to deal with such people. Time was of the essence when it comes to this line of work. Being late even for a second was not good. And once again it seemed like he was the bad guy, but some people don't have respect, do they? 

"Got it, Baek." The latter showed a thumbs up. 

Chanyeol and Baekhyun have been best friends since kindergarten, and they did everything together. Good or bad, they didn't care, as long as they had fun. Both of them were jokesters amongst their friends, and going out to parties, one-night adventures, flirting, and whatnot. Well, when it came to one-night adventures, Chanyeol was more into that, as for Baekhyun that wasn't his thing, nor was he for a serious relationship. He tried it once and it made him feel pressured, especially after she started talking about marriage and kids out of the blue. That's when he decided to not even bother with it, so even if he has a fling with a girl, it doesn't last longer than a week, and no boundaries were crossed. He never liked using women for his ual pleasure, it was just kissing and teasing when he felt like it. Love wasn't for him. He liked the way he lived his life, so who could blame him?

"I want to welcome you all," Baekhyun said as he turned around to face the people in front of them. "I am Byun Baekhyun and lose the honorifics."

All eyes were on him, as they listened carefully to what he was about to say, especially Areum. 

Baekhyun leaned on the desk, continuing. "The rules are simple actually. There are things I like and dislike. There will be time for fun and time for work. Everyone here is like family, harassment of any kind will not be tolerated, especially towards women." 

At this point, his eyes met with Areum's, as he slightly smiled, causing her to look at her notebook immediately, out of embarrassment. It was rare to find women who are willing to be in this line of work, so seeing her join was like a breath of fresh air. It was a change, and he liked changes. She had a notebook in front of her and she was jotting something down, while the others just looked blankly at Baekhyun, a
