One shot story inspired from EUNHYUK - Red Muhly! Self-written by our very own Lee Hyukjae. Got inspired by his story behind the song :)

Foreword

Hyukjae does not think too much of random road trips he spends with Donghae. It was normal, after all they were close enough to spend almost every free time they have with each other. Eating snacks, buying groceries, visiting each other's hometown, grabbing burgers, watching a movie, all these are normal for him. Normal for them. 

 

Until Hyukjae catches a glimpse of his reflection by the window of the car. Face painted a bright hue of red by the setting sun. Or was it? 

 

Of course it's just the sunset. It's definitely not the fact Donghae just said that he would like to spend the rest of his life in car rides and fast food dates with him. Definitely not because of that. Not the creeping blush accompanied by the pounding of his heart. 

Yep Hyukjae, it's just the sun rays shining on your face. Sure.

Chapter 1: I got a good chuckle out of the things in Donghae's bag, in order of importance. Toothbrush, camera, wallet. Drive date Eunhae is one of my favourite genres~ (And since they're holding out on us with sharing another one on youtube, this fic is especially appreciated lol.) Ah, so mushy, "There is no Donghae without Hyukjae." 🥺

Waking a whiny Hyukjae from slumber is only really possible with the promise of noodles. Otherwise it would be unforgivable.

This is an adorable thought, that Hyuk got his inspiration during a pretty drive to Mokpo with Donghae. Sharing heartfluttering gazes during sunset. The warm embrace, silly banter, holding hands. Sunsets and sunrises are both basically made for them, tbh. This sentimental couple.
