The sudden sound of howling wakes you up, startling you and making you walk a step back. One howl, then two, then three and now you’re just praying that those creatures are not close by because you’re sure it sounds like they’re more than one creature. You gulp again, seeing a pair of yellow eyes in the distance. You can make out the silhouette, it’s big. It is a wolf? But normal wolves aren’t that big. It is a bear? The height looks like when a bear is standing up on its two feet.

“—the legend might be true! Werewolves!” 

Your classmate’s voice rings in your mind but you can’t seem to comprehend it when you hear another howling, growling and seem to be close to you. Your blood has rushed to your head, without second thoughts, you run. You run and run, fast as you could with your legs. You hope you didn’t trip or fall because it’s so dark. Your sight is practically half-blind. Even the moonlight didn’t help much. The sound of howling echoing again and again, the growls continue as the steps you take. It’s like they’re chasing you. Your heart is pounding in your chest and you feel like you want to cry.  

In the corner of your eyes, you see a tree snap to the ground. An impact falls on the poor tree and a big movement comes with it. You glance at it for a second, eyes wide but you still can’t see clearly because of the dark. Maybe we’ll find some werewolves. That voice comes again and you shake your head. This is not the time to be thinking about it. All you are sure about is running from it. You’re not even inside the ‘Sector Three’ but something is already chasing you. Hell you’re going to die. You practically finished your exams and almost officially graduate — you’re not ready to die! Help! 

You want to call out for help but your throat is so heavy and something has clumped inside it, making it difficult to even speak a word. You’re also not sure whether it is wise to be loud when creatures are chasing you behind. Yes plural, there is more than one.
