Foreword

Jennie leaves her home for work without knowing what's ahead of her. She looks for her car driver but he is nowhere to be found.

She calls him and immediately figured their family's situation.

"I am so sorry, ma'am. I left early in the morning when I received a call about my wife's condition. She's sick and she needs me. I'm sorry I wasn't able to tell you sooner." He said over the phone.

She reassured him that it's alright. She feels deeply sorry and told him that he'll be receiving his early paycheck with a bonus for his hard work throughout the years.

"Jennie, are you sure you're driving?" Her boyfriend worriedly asked. Jennie is a bad driver, to be honest. She always had a driver with her because she can't drive. Despite having a long period of learning how to drive, she never achieves a license.

"Yes, I'm sure." She reassured him for the nth time. "No, I'll pick you up." He's worried for her and what could happen since she's driving on her own.

"No need, Jongin. I'm a grown-up woman. Come on!" She chuckled and jokingly said. Jongin doesn't seem to believe her but in the end, Jennie won in their argument as always.

At first, everything went fine. She thought that she had finally learned how to drive. Midway, he called her just to make sure she's fine.

She wasn't paying attention to the road because she was talking with Jongin that she didn't realize a massive truck is heading her way.

She sat there not knowing what to do. She just.. froze on spot. As if everything went in slow motion. In a blast of seconds, the car was hit.

She could hear Kai yelling from the other line of the phone, ambulance sirens ringing through her ear. Blood dripping from her head. Everything becomes blurry. Her eyelids become heavy. Before she knew it, she had already lost consciousness. Kai's never-ending voice still keeps on ringing through her head.
