SOL

I'm not a sociable person, I tend to isolate myself rather than have a small talk around people. I study at Ateneo but I enjoy staying at the sunken garden on the weekends, I'm a person who loves nature and large spaces. Almost every guy in Ateneo likes me, they give me flowers and chocolates every day. But in the end, they will always get ignored and rejected by me that's why I always distance myself, I'm only focused on my academics and I don't care about people. My hobby is to sit under trees while reading books but I got distracted and mad because some halfwit tripped and almost spill her coffee all over me

''WHAT THE HELL! WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING! WHO ARE YOU?!''

''I'm sorry here''

She picked and gave me a handkerchief to help me dry my shoulders, it's a good thing she didn't spill the coffee at my book, or I will be hysterical here.

"How much are your clothes? I'll buy you a new one if you want to."

"Oh, do you think I'm that penurious? I can buy this Givenchy a hundred times on my own who the hell are you anyway?'' I harshly said

"Oh, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to degrade you, I'm Rina Ayla Trinidad Chavez the daughter of the CEO of La Rouge Co. an-''

''So that's how your mannerisms are Miss Chavez?''

"No! I said I'm sorry! I didn't mean to spill that coffee to you, can I know what's your name s-''

''Solara.''

''What do you want me to do so I can keep up with you?''

''Leave me alone and make sure that I'll never see you again.'' Then I focused back on the book that I'm reading

RINA

Friendly and bubbly as they say, who always have a positive mindset, and the girl who's smart because she's studying in U.P Diliman and I like to explore around Diliman. I have a lot of friends here and I also have a lot of suitors, even if I'm this friendly I don't want to seek love. I'm only focused on myself and academics besides I'll be the one who will handle our hotels and business around the Philippines. While walking around, I didn't notice that I got tripped and spilled some coffee on someone

''WHAT THE HELL! WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING! WHO ARE YOU?!''

''I'm sorry here''

I quickly picked my clean handkerchief and pat it on her shoulders then I asked her

"How much are your clothes? I'll buy you a new one if you want to." I said

Gosh this woman doesn't know how to chill

"No! I said I'm sorry! I didn't mean to spill that coffee to you, can I know what's your name s-''

''Solara.''

''What do you want me to do so I can keep up with you?''

''Leave me alone and make sure that I'll never see you again.'' I was quite scared about what she said to me I really want to freak out right now but I prefer to maintain my calmness. I left her and continued walking like nothing even happened.

RINA POV AYLA

A month passed, I saw her again, she's reading something. Good thing I bought 2 Frappuccino just for me, but I'll give this one to her instead

"Solara! I'm sorry for ruining your dress that day here, some Frappuccino. Accept this please, as a sign of peace."

I placed the coffee on the ground and after that, all I know is she was annoyed by my presence.

"I don't like coffee and what's your problem? We shouldn't see each other again! And I hate my name, it's Sol." she said aggressively

"If you won't talk to me properly, I'll just probably call you Solara instead of Sol."

I jokingly said to her. Then she stood up and picked up her bag.

"That's why I don't like people, when I say no they wouldn't listen."

She walked away, I ran and followed her but all I knew is that I almost got bumped by a car. Now I'm in an unfamiliar room.

SOL POV

I walked away, but she followed me. I don't know why she wants to keep up. It's weird until I heard a car horn it was blasting. I looked at where the sound came from, then I saw Rina on the floor. I rushed to check her, she fainted and the coffee's spilled all over her dress. The rider apologized and handed me money, after that I rode her on my Futura Batmobile, it's a good thing it isn't a bad accident. But she got bruises, why is this woman stupid even if she studies in UP Diliman? When we got home, I grabbed some cotton and ammonia for her to smell. Even if I'm not willing, I started to change her clothes I just changed her clothes so ants won't be crawling on my bed. She smells exquisite even if the coffee's spilled at her. Then I left my room to cook porridge. Once cooked, I went straight to my room to check her. She asked me

"Where am I? Where's my dress?"

"You're here in my place, I'll be the one to take care of you. I cooked some porridge, eat while it's still hot. I changed your clothes and put them in the washing machine because I don't want ants to crawl on my bed ok? I didn't saw anything I swear."

I answered, she nod and followed me to the dining area.

RINA POV

As I follow her, I became bashful around her especially when she said that she changed my clothes. But I was shocked by the interior of the house, it's not that big but it's huge for one person to live here. I saw some of the other rooms open, I saw her music room, art room and she also has her own library? Wow, she's indeed rich and talented. But why is she the only one living here? Should I ask her? Maybe not, she'll probably be annoyed if I ask her questions, I just shut up then continued until we're here in the dining area.

SOL POV

While we were eating, I asked her

"Does the porridge tastes good??''

''Yes, thank you for taking care of me. You shouldn't help me, it's my fault that I almost got into an accident. I might be disturbing you, I'm sorry.'' she said

"It's true, it's funny you look stupid. But I don't even know why I helped you, should've left you instead. You're really disturbing me, maybe I finished the book that I'm reading if you didn't do anything stupid." I seriously said but I'm holding my laugh because of her reaction she was about to stand up until I said

''hey, I'm joking, haha. I don't want anything bad to happen to you because of me.'' Then got my glass to drink.

''so we should be friends then.''

I almost choked on what she said but I had no choice, I just agreed. Maybe it's not bad being friends with her.

''As a new friend, we're going somewhere. Come with me, Rina.''

I said

''Where are we going Sol? I still want to live''

She said that made me chuckle, I hold her hand and pulled her to the terrace.

RINA POV

''Let's just stay here, I want to see the skies. It's really serene while watching here," she said

''You're not going to kill me Sol right?''

I stopped for a moment because she laughed hard and loud, I was fascinated by her smile that's brighter than the moon and stars. Maybe she's really not that scary? But why do I feel something in my stomach?

"Even if I'm annoyed and irritated at you I'm not a murderer Rina'' We just laughed and sat on a chair then gazed at the beauty of the twinkling stars and the moon. While we're watching the skies I asked her.

''Why are you the only one here?"

"My family's at the U.S, I'm the only one left here in Manila'' she answered

''Oh, that's why you're fluent in English. Did people say living there is fabulous? Why didn't you go with them?"

I asked her again

''I really want to live there because of my best friend, but I don't want to live with my family. Everything that I want when it comes to music, arts, and dancing they won't support it. They want me to be an engineer even if I don't want to, I still followed what they want because I didn't want to be a bad child like they use to say''

She sadly said, now I understand her more why she always shut people off.

''Good thing you're not a puppet too?''

she asked me

''not really, it's my dream to become a businesswoman. I want to help my family and also I'll be the one who'll handle our businesses. They kinda spoil me sometimes''

I answered

''Good for you'' she coldly said

''Do you even have friends here?'' I asked

''Not even one here''

She answered, then I hold her hand and said

''Hay, don't let yourself down always, let's just look at the skies and let go of our worries. Let's trust that everything will be fine because now you have a friend. You have me okay?''

She nodded to agree. I hugged her to ease the burden she's feeling. But I felt joy and comfort while embracing her.

SOL POV

It's really not bad being friends with her, she's an optimistic person, and she's fun to be around, while she's having fun seeing the skies I looked at her eyes and watched her smile that's sparkling. By that, I feel more relieved but I looked away when she caught me looking at her. I don't know why I felt my face turn red, she leaned on my shoulders and said.

"The stars are beautiful right? They always shine to accompany the moon to make the darkness of the night be bright''

I nodded, it's just like her. Even if it's a short time she became my moonlight and star in my dark world. She knows that after being the moonlight I'll shine on my own when my day comes.

"Hey, you said you're into arts? Do you paint? Can you paint m-''

''No'' I coldly answered her

''Please Sol''

I just agreed, I just don't want her to annoy me.

We're here in the art room, then I let her choose her own position. While painting her, I noticed that she's beautiful. While talking to her and knowing her more I think I adore her, how kind and dumb she is, and how attractive she is. I will not wonder if many people like to court her. I'm done painting and I showed her the painting, her face was full of satisfaction. She hugged me tightly and said the painting was beautiful. No, she's beautiful.
