It was a beautiful sunny afternoon. Spring break was slowly coming to an end. It was Kai’s last day at the café Kamong for this week. He helped his sister on weekends and during university breaks. Whenever he worked in the café, the number of customers would go up. The girls loved being served by such a handsome waiter. When he poured them tea or brought them their coffees the girls would stare at him, blinded by his good looks. They drooled for him, shrieked in excitement, blushed and giggled. A lot of girls confessed to him, but he rejected them in the most careful and polite way. Kai was a gentle and shy boy, but practically people thought of him as cold and sometimes arrogant. His sister would not complain. She was genuinely proud that her little brother was popular among the young girls and that he made the sales go up in no time.

Today his friends Kyungsoo and Chanyeol came to visit him. At least that is what they have told him but in reality they came to watch all the pretty girls. They agreed that this place was heaven on earth and Kai was lucky to work here.

“Ahh, maybe I should start working here too”, Chanyeol sighed in amazement and put his hands on the table.

Kai’s sister laughed at him and served him iced coffee.

“Well, you are helping at your father’s café already, I doubt he would let you go.” Kyungsoo reminded him and added a sigh.

Chanyeol sulked to Kyungsoo’s words and sipped the iced coffee.

After several hours, the café became all empty. Kyungsoo and Chanyeol helped to clean the place as they needed Kai to hurry so that they could go to the arcade for games.

“Jongin, I need to get this package to the post office. Can you look after the café for the last hour?” Kai’s sister asked for another favor and ed her apron to leave the place, “Would you close the café for me today?”

Kai smiled at her and nodded. Of course, he never said no. His sister squeezed his cheek briefly and thanked him before she picked up the package. Chanyeol and Kyungsoo bowed politely while she was passing by. The bell rang when she opened the door and hurried outside.

“Kai, I thought we agreed on going to the arcade...” Chanyeol carped.

Kyungsoo crossed his arms in disappointment and shook his head.

“The arcade is going to close in an hour.” he said and frowned at the sun-kissed boy, “We won’t make it today, let’s do it tomorrow.”

Chanyeol nodded in excitement with a big grin. Kai smiled sadly, as he felt guilty for ruining their plans.

“You have not eaten anything today.” Chanyeol noticed and picked up a doughnut to hand it to his friend, “Kyungsoo and I will do the rest here. Take a little break.”

Kai looked at the doughnut, hesitated as he wanted to avoid sweets at this hour of the day, but in the end he could not resist. He took the pastry and sat at the table next to the big window. Kyungsoo brought him some coffee, although he did not like it pretty much. Kai was about to take a last bite of the doughnut when the bell rang loudly as the door was opened by a handsome boy who was followed by a beautiful girl. She was yelling at him. Chanyeol dropped the towels and stepped aside to avoid colliding with them. Kai watched the quarreling pair with an overstrained expression. Great, the boy was a senior of their university and known for changing his girlfriends like his underwear. A player through and through.

“You cannot leave me just like that, Taemin!” the girl kept yelling and grabbed his arm, “Why are you ignoring me these days?! Tell me!”

Chanyeol picked up the towels and walked behind the register. Kyungsoo started to turn over the chairs to indicate that they were closing the café. It was a nice try to get rid of the arguing couple, but unfortunately it did not work.

“Naeun... I- I really...” Taemin stuttered and looked around.

His eyes caught Kai sitting at the table. He suddenly brushed off her hand and walked to the sun-kissed boy. Kai was confused. He was shy and did not want to get involved into this mess. The handsome boy leaned over and stared him right in the eyes.

“You have to help me.” Taemin whispered so that solely Kai could hear him, “Can I kiss you?”

He seemed stressed out by the girl. Kai blinked several times, bit his lip
