Do you remember how you died before arriving to The Haven?

I do.

I remember how cold the ground was as I slowly lost consciousness. I remember how I saw my husband and his mistress look at me. I remember her mistress looking at my almost lifeless body with a faint smile. She must've been thinking about being the legal wife now. I remember how my supposed husband looked at me without any hint of guilt. I remember wondering if they'll actually be able to live knowing that I died because of them. 

I remember the growing hatred in me as I thought about how they'll live happily.. guilt free.

I remember hoping that I'll make it because the responders were fast.. I remember wanting to live..

I will not die like this, that was my last thought. I guess that's how I ended up here.. in The Haven.. where the dead tries to rid themselves of all their regrets before they cease to exist. I never dreamed to be here, I wanted to die and leave peacefully.. but then I woke up and knew immediately..

I didn't make it.
