Catching Kelpies (and my heart)

Description

"So earlier you told the students to throw a cuccumber with their name engraved on it at the kappa-"

"Not at the kappa, towards the kappa. As in, gently." She gives him a judging side-glance.

"Anyway, I was wondering-"

"Oh no," Asha breathes.

"-if I threw something that only looks like a cuccumber. If I, say, hex a carrot to look like a cuccumber."

"Then you would die a very painful death by severe bloodloss."

He pouts.

Asha wants to smack him. She does NOT think he looks cute like that, thank you very much!

"You don't know that," he insists.

Or

Accomplished young witch Asha is responsible for training Hogwarts students for the Triwizard Tournament task that involves water in some way and does absolutely not know how to handle the trainee teacher that's getting thrown at her. It doesn't help that some things just don't add up at all.

Foreword

To others:

Yeah so this was a bday present hehe~

To Aqua:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BESTEST KPOP FRIEND ASHA!!!

This story was born from my fear to become predictable n boring and your mum being a great (evil) genius. You will find, the story is not finished yet. It's not a oneshot but a chaptered story. Far from finished, really. We are just getting started.

Updates will happen every Birthday of yours hehe~

Do you remember how I sent you a message that just went 'MUHAHAHAHAHA'? Now you know why.

Oh, also before you freak out about this rather personal foreword... Don't worry. I've put the story on Unlisted for now. It will remain like that for however long you want, so the only people able to read it are you, your mum (who also got the invitation link), and me of course. This is your present and you can ultimately decide what to do with it. Whether it should be published or remain your very own gem is completely up to you and I will honour either decision.

Originally I had planned to do a fanart as cover but ran out of time so it's only an edit for now T.T (hope ur not too disappointed)

You may or may not have noticed my recent Inktober updates. These were my attempts to keep you distracted cuz 'If I've got enough time for Inktober then I can't possibly be working on anything big at the same time, right?' (Only right if you don't pull all-nighters and also don't leave work early to continue writing hehe) Tell me, did it work? Was my distraction successful? I hope it was!

Tbh I was sceptical at first. A Story as present for someone who has difficulties with reading? Would that be mean? But seing as it was your mum's idea and she kept assuring me it would be fine and you have tools to help you read, I decided to at least try. So. Yeah.

Anyway, hope you enjoy reading, I sure had my fun writing and plotting. Now go! Read! Happy Birthday! I purple you <3
