Class 2-A

Wendy entered the classroom to get her stuff and go home. She waves good bye to her classmates who were walking out. As she walks towards her seat, she notices her friend sitting and staring blankly.

“Seulgi? You okay?” The girl doesn’t respond. So Wendy walks to her and starts waving a hand in front of her to try and get Seulgi to snap out of her trance. The poor girl remains unmoved. Seulgi’s phone pings, this finally brings her back to reality. She checks her phone and smiles when she sees the name on the notification screen:

Bae Joohyun

Wendy peeks at Seulgi’s phone. She watches her friend’s love-stricken face.

“Aren’t you going to open her message?” This startles Seulgi, she ended up throwing her phone up in the air. She scrambles to catch it- the phone slips from her reach. Wendy dives down to catch it but she was too late. It falls face flat on the floor. Seulgi picks it up with a pouty face.

“Mmmm…. The screen is cracked.” She rubs the dirt away. “At least it’s still workin!” She unlocks her phone and opens Joohyun’s message:

Seulgi-ya! Where are you? Let’s walk home together… 😘

“Hng… teehee…” Seulgi starts making weird sounds.

“You really got it bad huh?” Wendy chuckles. “You should reply quickly… Irene eonnie might get impatie-…”

Seulgi’s phone starts ringing and vibrating which causes her to drop her phone on her lap.

“I told you! YAH pick it up already Seul” Wendy laughs. “Next thing you know eonnie will be barging in here unannounced-….”

The classroom door slides open with a loud bang! Seulgi and Wendy’s head snaps to the direction of the sound. An angry and huffing Bae Joohyun enters the room with Suho right behind her pulling her backpack. 

"I-…rene… would… you-…calm down…" Suho says while gritting his teeth as he does his best to stop his friend from pouncing the innocent bear cub. 

“Let- go… of ME, Suho!” Irene snarls at him as she continues walking towards Seulgi while dragging him along.

“I will IF you calm down… I’m afraid you’ll pounce Seulgi and hurt her!” Joohyun immediately turns to him with a death glare. Suho regrets having a mouth at that moment.

“I WILL NEVER HURT SEULGI!!!” she grabs his collar and pulls him close. Tears start to build up. “How could you even think that?”

Wendy elbows Seulgi. “Pooh go! Save Suho hyung. I don’t want to be a witness to a murder..”

“Hyunnie!!!” Seulgi skips toward the death scene unfolding in the classroom. She hugs Joohyun from behind to calm her down.

“SEULGI-YA!” She immediately turns around and clings to Seulgi. “You weren’t replying to my text… you didn’t pick up my call… 🥺”

Seulgi pulls out her phone to show Irene her phone broke. “I kinda tossed my phone by accident hehe sorry I panicked… I was about to answer your call.”

“See… and you overreacted so fast! Seriously Irene…” Suho says while fixing his uniform.

“It’s your fault! You said other girls were flirting with my Seulgi!”

“Err there are no other girls with me” Seulgi says plainly. “Just that chipmunk over there”

“Wow! Thanks Seul!” Wendy sticks her tongue out.

“You don’t need to be angry at Suho hyung, Hyunnie. He was just joking.” she smiles with her most charming  crescent eyes. Joohyun pouts and looks at Seulgi with puppy eyes.

“Suho also joked that, he and I look like high-school sweethearts…” And for the second time in less than 5 minutes Suho receives another death glare. Seulgi lets go of Irene and darts toward Suho. Suho tries his best to crawl out of the classroom but Seulgi has a tight grip on his legs.

“YAH! Seul! Calm down! Suho hyung was kidding” Wendy grabs her friend and drags her away.

“Really, Irene? You won’t even help your best friend??” Suho says in disbelief.

“Mm no… I like seeing my Seulgi all possessive” Joohyun shrugs.

Suho exhales feeling tired from almost getting murdered. “You keep calling her “your Seulgi”, are you guys officially dating already?”

Irene clings to Seulgi. “We’re about to be! She’s going to ask my parents later for permission.”

“Oh! That’s great Seulgi! Good luck with her parents!” Suho says while getting up. Seulgi smiles the best she could to mask how nervous she really is. 

“Let’s walk home together!! We can go straight to my parents. Hihi” Joohyun says excitedly while grabbing Seulgi’s hand.

“Um… Hyunnie I should go home to my house first…” Seulgi was clearly uneasy which made Irene worry.

“Is something wrong?”

“Well… I’m kinda smelly right now… I wanna be at my best when I meet your parents”

Irene smiles immediately at that “I understand. Come by the restaurant around 8:45, it’s not busy during that time” Seulgi nods in agreement.

“Then I’ll see you later Seulgi” She hugs her tightly then pinches her cheeks. 

“C’mon Junmyeon lets go. I’ll treat you to some ramyun! Bye Seungwannie!”

“Bye guys!” He waves at the two girls. “I’m surprised you didn’t kiss your Seulgi” he teases.

“I’m restraining myself” was the last thing Seulgi heard before they were left alone.

“Damn Seul! You’re going to meet her parents already? Haha” 

“Wendy you have to help me!!! I’m scared! What if I mess it up?? Or they don’t like me??”

“Seulgi.. Calm do-…”

“OH MY GOD IF THEY DON’T LIKE ME, THEY’RE GOIN TO SEND HYUNNIE AWAY!”
