“What are you doing?” 

“Hugging you!” Shuhua chirps. Arms and legs wrapped around Soojin, she is the living embodiment of a koala backpack. 

Cheeks fire engine red, Soojin groans. “Gross.” 

The waiting room is bustling with life. The backstage camera trails after Yuqi and Miyeon as they bicker all the way into the hall while Soyeon and Minnie have gone off to do whatever it is producers do with other producers. 

“I can move.” The words are sincere.

Shivering as they tickle the shell of her ear, Soojin shakes her head. It’s jarring and leaves her slightly dizzy. “No.”

There is no laughter or teasing from Shuhua, just her warm nose nuzzling into the fabric covering Soojin’s shoulder. 

“Just ugh…” Soojin swallows. Her eyes dart about the room, “Keep doing it.”
