Chapter 2: Angel? Not really

“My flat isn’t an orphanage, Seul!”

“I know but just this one, seungwan-ah” Seulgi motioned seungwan to sit down beside her “They just lost their parents 2 weeks ago, they only have me now”

Seungwan shot her a glare before looking at the girls, Joohyun and her younger sister, Jennie. The older one seemed to be lost in thought while the younger one fell asleep on her sister's lap. Unaware of their situation.

“Why don’t you send them to an orphanage?”

Seulgi frowned. They’re my nieces, how could I do that?

The baby-faced girl kneeled down “Please Wan-ah, l beg you, I will double pay the room and I will work extra extra hard!”

Seungwan looked away from those hopeful eyes “I hate strangers” she hissed

“They’re my cute nieces, not mere strangers!”

“Please Wannie, pretty pretty please” Seulgi hugged seungwan’s leg, she was so desperate

“Yah! You stop it!

“No, I won't stop! Not until you let them stay here” Seulgi hugged her leg even tighter, starting to sob

Seungwan huffed “FINE!”

Seulgi smiled widely

“Don’t be happy yet. We only have 2 bedrooms, no way i’m sharing my room with you”

“I’m fine with the couch, thank you Wannie, I owe you a lot”

“Even if I sell my soul, it won’t be enough to pay for your kindness” Seulgi blabbed “You know, if you look at the mirror now, you’ll probably see a wing cause you’re my angel hehe!”

Seungwan rolled her eyes before smacking Seulgi's head “”

Next Day,

Seungwan woke up a bit late, she hurriedly took her towel and proceeded to the bathroom. The only bathroom in her flat.

‘knock knock’

“Seulgi-ah, be fast or we’re going to be late”

But there’s no response from inside

“Don’t kid around, Seul!” seungwan was getting impatient

Still no response

‘bang bang’

Seungwan pounded the door harshly now

“Gosh, Seul!” The shorter girl shouted “We...”

Suddenly the door was opened, a girl with a red nose and puffy eyes came out

“I’m s..sorry” the young girl said timidly, bangs covering her face, she was the oldest of the two siblings

“Were you crying inside?” seungwan asked irritatedly, she hates being late to work

“...Sorry unnie”

“If you want to cry, do it elsewhere. This bathroom is a shared one, do you understand?”

The girl nodded “Ye...”

But Seungwan already slammed the door in front of her face, making the younger girl jump a little.
