TO:Fifteen years and a week.
Fifteen long years and a rather short week had led me up to this moment, my more than awkward encounter with the woman who I thought I had forgotten.
Soft brown eyes gleamed with genuine happiness, dark brown locks bounced off milky white skin, lips curling up as the sound of books hit the ground.
A warm embrace, voice almost shaking, a confused husband and daughter looking at the both of us.
It wasn’t supposed to be like this. We weren’t supposed to meet like this. My thin lips trembled with anticipation, unable to utter a single sound.

“It’s been so long, Byulyi. I’ve missed you” you whisper. I hold back the swarm of emotions that threaten to overtake my composure, a rather cold smile forming on my lips. Memories of our past days ran through my mind like a lion on a hunting frenzy, nostalgia seeping its way into my heart.
“Yongsun-Unnie… I’ve missed you too” I feign a smile, glancing over at the teenage girl I had just finished tutoring. I should have realized how much you two look alike. It hurt all the more knowing you had grown a family in the fifteen years we didn’t see each other. Even the taste of your name on my tongue drove me absolutely mad, my gaze hardening as you let go of me.
