Description

"Wendy Son, an up and coming professional photographer based in Hollywood, was asked if she can be a photographer for a magazine shoot featuring a South Korean A-List celebrity. Seeing this as an opportunity, Wendy immediately agreed to the offer. When she asked her boss who will be the subject of the shoot, Wendy wanted to back-out. Why? Because the subject will be Irene Bae, a CEO of her own fashion company and also one of South Korea's top actresses who is now making her own name in the US after her latest movie won an Oscar award. Irene Bae who is also Bae Joohyun, Wendy's/Seungwan's old flame from years ago."

Foreword

I tried to keep to the prompt as closely as I could, because writing Wenrene as exes is always a great challenge to explore. I liked the premise a lot so I hope I managed to do it some justice.

One thing to note while reading- the names are all deliberately written because Wendy, due to the lack of closure, thinks of the past and present as separate. Hence, when she refers to Joohyun, she thinks of the past. The story is about her reconciling the past with the present and finally coming to terms with how she wants to move forward with her life.
