Maya is a succesful idol, a veteran, a leading lady with a long and fruitful career behind her as member of a legendary girl group. Once her group disbanded, ideas started brooding in her head. The opening of her own agency, OBO entertainment, was the start of it all. Maya wanted to do something special, something that has kind of been done in The Unit.

A second chance group. Maya had always felt bad for the idols who didn't have it as good as her, so she wanted to do something for them. In 2020, the ideas for Herätys were born. Named the Second Chance project, Maya started to personally scout around former idols to see if they were interested to join in. She looked and looked, and while many were sceptical, trainees for the project started to come into the doors of OBO one by one. After 6 months, Maya had gathered 6 men and 6 women. All different kinds of idols that were mistreated in a way, but wanted to have another go. Some had been on stage for years, others barely had a crumb of experience because of unfortunate circumstances. It was a mix of all kinds of idols, so Maya had to somehow fit them together in a group.

And so Herätys was born. Herätys, meaning revival and awakening in Finnish, became an umbrella group for these 12 fighters. But Herätys would only rarely be together as full 12. To appeal more to the public, they would mainly promote under their sub-units. Herätys V is the female unit, while Herätys M is the male unit. V for Venus, and M for Mars. There was also room for duets, collaborations and special units. But when Herätys does ever come together as a whole, it is grand and spectacular.

All of the idols took on a new stagename to signify their new start, and when their faces were revealed, netizens were shocked. A second chance group was unseen of. People were very interested in the project, and a lot of fans were crying happy tears to see their idol again. But would this hype actually make their music chart? Only the future can tell.

Hi! It's Sien again, risen from another hibernation to indulge herself into the applyfic world again. Art and work has been keeping me really busy but I think I can start making time for my stories again. I was actually itching to make a new one as well. I actually had this idea already somewhere last year, but it never got made because I wanted to concentrate on other stories, but Omega X revived the idea and got me really excited. By the way, Omega X will not exist in this story for reasons lol. I really hope you guys like this concept and are willing to apply! I think its going to be fun making up a story about how their old group did, who they were with and how it ended and such. It can get really interesting.
