It was a usual Monday when Chaeyoung woke up to the sound and smell of cooking. She slowly got up from her bed to go outside, and she was greeted by the sight of a busy Jennie in the kitchen. The girl was wearing a pink pajama with her hair tied in a messy bun. Her back was facing Chaeyoung, clearly unaware of her presence yet, and she was busy throwing various seasoning in the pan

Chaeyoung's heart swell at the domesticity of the scene. She lightly approached the kitchen and sat on the stool — savoring the moment and silently hoping for more mornings like this. "God damn it! Why is this egg sticking to the pan!" Jennie mumbled to herself and turned around. The older girl jumped in surprise when she saw Chaeyoung. "Rosie! You scared me!"

Chaeyoung chuckled at the cuteness displayed. "Sorry, Jen, I didn't mean to. What are you cooking anyway?" she glanced at the pan Jennie is holding

"More like what I attempted to cook. But I ruined it!" Jennie scrunched her nose frowning, and showed Chaeyoung the pan containing one very sad looking egg. "Let's just buy breakfast on our way to work"

Chaeyoung giggled when she saw the food, and Jennie pouted, "Hey, don't laugh. It looked really simple in the YouTube video I watched!"

That made Chaeyoung laughed louder, and she picked up a piece and tasted it

"Rosie! Don't eat that, let me throw it away!" Jennie moved to stop her

"Too late!" Chaeyoung quickly got the rest of the food and ate them in one bite, earning a playful eye roll from the older girl

"It's good!" the blonde grinned while munching with full. The egg was slightly burnt, and it was sweet — too sweet, in fact. She fondly noted that Jennie must have used sugar instead of salt again by mistake. But it was perfect for Chaeyoung, she loved how simple and domestic everything was

She was about to give Jennie the ring when the older girl's phone suddenly rang

"Hold on, Chae, let me get this" Jennie answered the call and started to talk about some problems at work. She hanged up after a few minutes

"Sorry Chae, there's an emergency that came up, so I need to go now" Jennie said apologetically, "but I'll see you at the event later? Let's meet at 6 pm?"

Going to events together has also became a part of their current routine. They started attending them as each other's plus one since they announced their relationship to the public. Chaeyoung enjoyed these a lot because she get to spend more time with Jennie. Although they live together, their schedules were so insanely busy that they usually see each in the morning or at night only, sometimes not even so

Chaeyoung nodded at Jennie and hid the box inside her pocket again

Jennie proceeded to get ready inside her room, and Chaeyoung turned the coffee machine on. She put the liquid in Jennie's tumbler and waited near the door. Jennie finally went out of her room, picked up her keys, and headed to Chaeyoung. They moved in sync — morning routine already familiar to each other now. Chaeyoung handed the coffee to the older girl's waiting hand, and Jennie pecked her cheek softly, "see you later, Rosie"

They bid goodbye, and Chaeyoung watch Jennie leave as she lightly touched her cheek
