Xiah

It was very dark around him. The nineteen-year-old boy did not feel human anymore. His body was no longer his. Xiah consisted only of a red, pure soul. A weak soul. A lonely soul.

How many years had he been locked in this Bujeok now? Was his father still alive? Were the elders still alive? Were there descendants of the people of Gongju left? How much longer would Xiah's soul be kept in this Bujeok?

The boy felt nothing. His pain was soothed. His anger was blown away. His love for his mother was like erased. His hatred towards the people of Gongju like adjusted. His memories were erased. He no longer had any sense of time either. Xiah no longer knew what he used to be once. He no longer knew where he came from and wherever he had to go. The only thing he was aware of was the freezing cold temperature of the Bujeok that embraced his warm soul. It had been cold around him for decades. The existence of Xiah’s soul was pointless.

There was no longer any reason for him to return to this world until one the day a warm, little hand grabbed this cold icy coat and slowly melted it. Xiah could perceive the feelings of this small person. Excitement and curiosity.

The icy coat embracing Xiah’s soul was put around the wrist of the small person. The feelings became stronger. Courage and determination. His soul could perceive feelings of the little person, could hear his voice, read his thoughts. He made Xiah feel things that he had long forgotten about in all these years. The lungs that were filled with air, that rose and fell. The steady heartbeat. So calm and strong. The pounding of his pure heart finally broke Xiah's soul out of sleep. All his pure and good memories came back. The glow of his red soul grew stronger. A very special bond emerged. Xiah struggled against the barrier that held him back from entering the mind of the little person. No, now he could not give up. Not now, that all these feelings flooded his soul. Xiah's wish for a warm body became unimaginably big. That fiery red light of his soul tore down the barrier and finally made his way out into the open. This feeling was so strange to him, as if he were flying. As if he would see the light of day for the very first time. Xiah’s soul shot into another place, came to consciousness in another time. He could not expla

Chapter 37: !spoilers

Omg I can’t believe the king jae joong who ordered sandara dead would actually be in love with her 13 years prior when they first met! The change in attitude really doesn’t sit right with me, poor female dokkebi who fell into the human world just to suffer 😩
