3 months later: Joseph:   Ok I can admit I was wrong about her alright. She has proven to be very efficient and good at her job. Some of the new menu items she implemented have proven to be successful. She even added a Soul Food buffet that is held every first and last Sunday. She calls it "Seoul Food Sunday." I scoffed at the name while everyone else thought the word play was clever. Can you imagine a soul food buffet in South Korea? I was pissed I did not come up with it myself. I happen to love soul food. Whenever I am in New Orleans Dooky Chase is the first place I stop at. I was skeptical at first and did not hesitate to tell her so. "You know this is Seoul right now New Orleans, we don't eat things like peach cobbler and fried catfish around these parts. "Oh?" She said to me smiling her eyes sparkling with mirth. "Well we will just have to change people's perception of Soul food, won't we?" She smiled at me and walked over to the pastry kitchen. I scoffed. She came up with flavor combinations I have never heard of in my life. Bananas Foster bread pudding with candied pecans and caramelized banana toffee topping? What? My mouth began to water just reading her new dessert menu and I rolled my eyes at my mouth's betrayal. She made samples of all the new dessert items and all the hotel’s staff were invited to taste. Everything she made was mouthwatering and delicious. The hotel manager ranted and raved about it so much the president of the hotel popped in to meet her. This really got under my skin because I worked here for 6 months before I even got a peep out of him. I know I was being petty at this point because she proved why she got the position, but I was not ready to let it go yet. She had been nothing but nice to me and I was so short and churlish that my sous chef Simon finally called me out on my behavior. "Hey, Joe can I talk to you for a minute." He asked. "Sure, let's step into my office." I said waking over there. We walk in and he closes the door behind m
