Joohyun wakes up extra early today.

She’s so excited with the prospect of seeing Seungwan again.

Yesterday she made a batch of salted caramel candies, only for Seungwan (she wanted to make candies for all of her friends but she kept failing, after 2 burnt batches, she’s shorts on the ingredients)

Joohyun is humming while making a bunny ribbon around the lid of the jar.

Satisfied with her perfect handcraft, she proceeds to the next task.

Preparing her outfit.

You wonder why she always looks beautiful?

Well, she takes her time to prepare herself.

From outfit to make up.

People may say that whatever she wears, whatever makeup she puts on her face...won’t matter much because she’s already beautiful to begin with. She’s the original visual, afterall.

But even the original visual has their own insecurities too.

These eyebags, these dumbo ears, these (unnoticeable) dark spots...these short legs of mine, this and that.

So it’s important to choose the perfect outfit that can hide her weak points and bring out good points like her shapely hips. And perfect makeup to highlight her high nose, bright eyes and her dark ‘shampoo worthy ads’ hair.

So...back to the task.

Today they’ll need to move a lot.

Practical clothes will be preferable instead of flowery flowy dresses or tight dresses.

You’re not going on a date, Joohyun.

She reminds herself.

But Seungwan will be there, the younger girl will see her.

If she wants to gain her attention, in the midst of moving her stuff.

She has to be pretty right??

Casual but attractive.

Not too plain but enough to keep Seungwan’s eyes on her.

To impress but not ‘in your face’ kind of impress.

Seriously, she’s taking this like she’s preparing for a beauty contest.

An hour later.

After so much stress.

Finally, she’s set with her outfit and makeup choice for the day.

She looks at the clock, 8:30 AM.

She’ll need to pick up Seulgi by 10.

So enough time to prepare herself.

Seungwan, you better be ready to be enticed.

Because I am going full force on you today.

Seulgi looks at her from head to toe.

“Are you out of your mind, unnie?”

How rude.

Seulgi is wearing her usual working outfit.

A faded jumper and her 5 years old washed jeans.

Her hair tied in a ponytail hides under her light brown cap.

A mask covering her nose and mouth to protect herself from dust.

She’s practical, to the point she looks like a staff from a moving company.

While Joohyun,

She dressed like the freaking brand ambassador of the said company.

All pretty and unnecessarily dolled up.

“What do you mean?” Joohyun frowns, there’s nothing wrong with her outfit.

It’s cold outside so she needs something to warm her like this faux fur outerwear or whatever it’s called.

And later when they’re working, she just needs to shed the outerwear and she’s ready in action.

It’s practical and attention grabbing at the same time.

Right??

Seulgi shakes her head

“You’ll get an earful from Sooyoung later”

No one can be prettier than Park Sooyoung.

Seulgi knows her girlfriend's competitiveness all too well.

The younger girl takes the key from her unnie.

She feels like she needs to be the driver today.

With how her unnie looks like a superstar and she looks like her chauffeur.

K2 Dorm

“The you’re wearing?” and Sooyoung can’t control .

She’s usually (a bit) mindful with her words to the older girl.

But she’s too shocked with what she’s seeing.

Well, Seungwan too.

She almost drops a box on her feet.

Seungwan's eyes widened at first, then moved up and down to take the girl’s appearance.

She’s digging this rocker vibe on Joohyun.

Wow, she looks so hot.

Pretty, beautiful, mesmerizing are now out of the window.

Hot is the first word in her Joohyun dictionary.

“Nope” Sooyoung wiggles her fingers

“This ain’t it. Follow me. You need to change your clothes and what’s with that smokey make up? Nope, nope...I can’t look like I haven’t take a bath for days while you like a freaking model”

Joohyun can only whine when Sooyoung drags her into the bathroom.

She hasn’t even greeted Seungwan yet.

Seulgi pats the other girl’s shoulder “Unnie really wants to impress you”

Seungwan ear’s redden as she nods

“Please don’t be too hard on her, Wan”

A moment later, Joohyun is back with a satisfied Sooyoung behind her.

Her makeup is washed and she is wearing a too big hoodie due to Sooyoung's size.

She looks rather adorable with a frown on her forehead.

This is the Joohyun that Seungwan knows. The adorable version of Joohyun.

“Hi” Joohyun’s eyes brightens as she approaches her “How are you?”

Still with her trademark (lame) question

“Good” and here’s Seungwan’s trademark answer too

“Well, I’m not good. I took my time for my outfit today”

Seungwan just hums as she puts her books inside a box.

“Did I look good at least?”

You’ll be a huge distraction with that outfit.

Seungwan wants to say but holds herself as she catches Sooyoung’s stare at them.

“Not bad”

Joohyun smiles broadly, not the answer she’s hoping for but still it makes her happy.

“Uhm, I have something for you” the older girl offers her gift to her

“Candies?”

“Salted caramel”

“Thank you” Seungwan looks at the jar in her hand, a hint of smile creeping up on her lips but before it can blooms

“AHEM” Sooyoung not so subtly clears

Making the shorter girl quickly neutralizes her facial expression

The older girl stays close to Seungwan as much as she can.

She packs a box beside her.

Folds clothes beside her.

Smiles at Seungwan every time their eyes meet for a brief moment before the younger girl quickly looks elsewhere.

It irks Sooyoung, knowing that Seungwan is slowly crumbling inside.

Her roommate is too easy to sway.

“Irene unnie, I need your help”

Joohyun jerks her head to Sooyoung.

She wants to refuse but she’s afraid to make Sooyoung mad, after all she needs her help to win Seungwan back.

“We need more boxes so I need you to drive me”

But, there’s Seulgi…

Joohyun darts her eyes to Seulgi who is now taking her place to fold the clothes.

The taller girl follows her eyes “Nope, Seulgi is staying”

Joohyun is confused, isn’t Sooyoung supposed to help her to get close with Seungwan??

“Let’s go” Sooyoung grabs her hand without giving her a chance to say anything

The duo bought 3 more boxes before driving back to the dorm.

They stop at the nearest Starbucks to buy takeaway teas for Joohyun and Seungwan, coffee for Seulgi and Sooyoung.

“I’ll pay” Joohyun offers

“Thanks then I’ll have croissant as well” Sooyoung really has no shame

“And 4 croissants please” Joohyun tells the staff

“So...there’s a reason why I want you to drive me” Sooyoung starts

“Huh?”

“Few days ago I have a heart to heart talk with Wannie and she mentioned something”

“Yeah?”

“You know. Sejeong? Our friend. Seungwan told me that she confessed to her and I think Seungwan is considering it. I mean Sejeong is cool” Well half a lie, Sejeong did confess but ages ago and no, seungwan did not consider anything, they’re friends for life.

Joohyun grips her wallet tightly.

Eating the bait that was thrown at her.

“But you said before she’s just a friend”

“Well have you listened to Jason Mraz's song? Lucky I’m in love with my best friend~” Sooyoung continues “You’re damn lucky that I’m not interested in Seungwan that way or you won’t have any chances” she flips her hair, adding the fuel
