Little Kid's Servant
Demon King
"Finally," Donghae says. "Why're you rascals not answering me?"
Kyuhyun hops down from the balcony rail. A mocking smile's on his face.
"Because you handed over your throne to Sungmin instead of giving it to me?"
"Temporarily," Donghae says. "What's happening?"
"Not much. All in order."
"So they don't know I'm not there..."
"Well, they can't do anything, anyways."
Donghae leans on the rail. The sliding door is left open. A bit. It's just so he can hear.
Hyukjae's inside. Asleep. In his bedroom. He should be fine. But it's this annoying thing. That Donghae must always do.
"Soo... how is it being a little kid's servant?" Kyuhyun says.
Donghae curses. His anger's back.
"It's complete ing hell. I can't use anything against him."
"What does he need you to do?"
"Nothing!" Donghae says. He's still shocked about it. "Nothing that he needs me for! I have no idea how or why he got me. He's sixteen, Kyuhyun. A child. How did he manage that? He's penniless too. I don't know where his parents are. He goes to school. Works at that convenience store around the corner. He eats junk. Plays on his phone. Watches movies. Then... he just sleeps."
Kyuhyun's turned away. His hands are over his own mouth. He's chortling.
"He makes me do his math homework!" Donghae continues. Groans. "He makes me take the ing bus with him each time he needs to go anywhere! I carry his groceries. I sleep on the ing couch, Kyuhyun -- have you seen it?" He points through the glass door. "Look at it. It sinks so low I actually think I'm sleeping on rocks. I can't even get out of it in the morning."
"Oh mighty devil," Kyuhyun wheezes. He's bent. His body's shaking. "That's beautiful."
Donghae kicks his shoulder. Kyuhyun doesn't dodge it. So his laughing body gets shoved. Right into the railing.
It creates a bang.
"You bastard, be quiet!" Donghae quickly pulls him up. "Listen. I need you to look around this area. Find me a place nearby. A good place. Get me a ing car, too. Tell Sungmin to send someone there every few days. If I need them, they come to me instantly. Do you hear me? In a ing instant. Not like you, taking hours."
"Okay." Kyuhyun nods. Grins. "Okay."
"Oh, and get me some money, this boy didn't have the bus fare for me today and he can't even feed himself..."
They hear a sound from within. Donghae releases Kyuhyun. Steps to slide the door open.
"Donghae..."
It is Hyukjae's scared voice.
Donghae rolls his eyes to the heavens. Kyuhyun snickers. Donghae motions for him to wait. Then hurries inside.
"What?" he calls.
"Donghae!"
Hyukjae runs to him. Grabs his arm.
"I heard a noise!" Hyukjae whispers. Urgently. "Oh my god, I think someone's here!"
"Calm down. It's nothing. It's okay."
"No, but I heard something! I know I heard it! You have to check, please -- I'm ordering you to check! Can you please check?"
The boy hides behind him. Pushes Donghae forward to the balcony.
"Hyukjae, it's nothing dangerous," Donghae says. "Look."
He pulls the curtains all the way. To show Hyukjae that Kyuhyun's out there. But the has changed his appearance. He has let his demonic features out.
There are red glowing eyes. Sharp fangs.
It makes the boy scream. Cling to Donghae. Climb onto his back. His bony limbs hug Donghae's body.
"Oh my god! It's a demon! It's a demon! Help me help me help me--"
"I'm a demon too, you idiot! Ouch! Don't pull my hair! Hyukjae, he works for me! He's my brother, you monkey, calm down -- Kyuhyun, go! Get lost!"
Kyuhyun vanishes with loud laughter. Donghae slides the door shut. Walks around the furniture. Hyukjae's still stuck onto him.
"He's gone." Donghae turns on the light. Pulls at Hyukjae's arms around his neck. "No one's here now. Look -- just open your eyes."
