BEEP…. BEEP… BEEP…

The sound of ECG is echoing in the room. Her son is still lying on the bed. Not moving at all. And he is dying. All what she can do is crying. Her husband is holding her shoulder tightly. There is nothing they could do. Her son, her only son. She looks at her son. She misses his laughter. She misses his smile. She misses his warm hugs. She misses everything about him. The world seems dark to her. She does not want to lose him. She would do anything just to make her son lives. Suddenly, the door squeaks and someone is entering the room.

“Excuse me?” A non-familiar girl is entering the room. The both of them stay silent while watching her walking towards them.

“They must be his parents…” she thought.

“I’m sorry. I’m Hana. Joshua’s friend. I’m here to see him.” She introduces herself.

“Joshua’s friend? You must be his classmate.” Her mum said. Hana just nods and sits next to Joshua. She looks at his face. His face looks so pale. She is trying very hard not to cry. She reaches out her hand and holds his hand tight.

“Shua yah~ I’m here… I know you’re listening. Please be strong… Please don’t leave me. Please…don’t…leave us…” Then, she feels her tears streaming down her cheeks. She could not hold it anymore. She holds his hand even tighter.

“I love you, Joshua. I love you…”
