“Are you sure you want to go alone? I mean, it could get pretty dangerous walking alone in the forest without having any powers to defend yourself.” Shaking her head at the worried girl, she then let out a reassuring smile before nodding her head. “Don’t worry Irene unnie, I’ll be fine and I promise to get back here before the potion wears off. I just want to see more to this wonderful environment.” She looked at me, pursing her lips before nodding her head in defeat.

It was a beautiful winter night and it was already a week after she had met those five amazing nymphs. In truth, at first she never trusted them but when she knew each and every one of them through the process of living under their roof for a week, she couldn’t help but depend on them more than ever. They were sweet, nice, caring, and even a little playful, courtesy to their youngest member.

“Oh wait!” Before Haemin could get out of the house, she turned around to see the pinked hair latter lending her a red hooded jacket. Without hesitation, Irene immediately let her wear it as a big smile was plastered on her face. “Wow, this feels like little red riding hood.” Haemin let out a chuckle as she shakes her head, looking at the blinking latter. “Little red who?” Irene asked, raising a brow as the latter shakes her head once again.

“Never mind.”

“Now. Don’t talk to strangers, don’t look back, and if ever something bad happens, you run. You're going to sprint yourself out of their like your life depends on it, becuse honey it actually does. Understood?” She looked at the girl sternly before Haemin nodded her head.

“Yes, mother.” She teased before Irene playfully smack her back. “Now go on and don’t return too late.” She commanded once again before Haemin nodded her head, waving a small goodbye before she successfully made it out to the cold winter night.

Passing by trees to trees, she couldn’t help but let out a small laugh. It was dark, but it wasn’t like the scary type of dark, it was more relaxed and breath taking. As she strolled around, she couldn’t help but go in deeper at the said forest even when Irene warned her about doing that but the latter was too stubborn to even cooperate with that.

Her silent moment was caught off when she heard little movements from behind her. Shrugging it off, she continued to walk forward but she noticed that the said noise was getting more clear, sounds of shuffling and breaking twigs is what she heard. Slowly stopping on her tracks, she then realized that the noise stopped too.

Hesitantly in decision, she then turned around to see the worst fear she had ever imagined of what might lurk inside a forest. In front of her was something she couldn’t think of, something scary and unknown to her eyes. No, she hasn’t seen something like this and she sure know that this was something that doesn’t exist back at Earth. It was like a mixture of a lion and a walrus, with green-ish black slimes all over its mouth as it bared its fangs at her.

Hearing his low growls made her whole body week as she let herself fall hard on the ground, staring blankly at the beast in front of the girl as her whole body was trembling in fear. Haemin’s hands gripping tightly on the ground as she shifted backwards when she saw the beast slowly moving closer to her, she knew she was going to die. If only she had listened to what Irene had told her, if only.

Haemin was about to release her last blood curling scream when out of nowhere, something had tackled down the beast in front of her. Something bigger and something harrier than it, she knew for sure that the beast couldn’t match the other. All the female could see was brown fur and gruesome red liquid covering the white snow. Reaching out to cover , she watched the giant fur creature devouring the said beast in its way.

When there were no sounds evident in the area, her hands fell lifelessly as soon as the giant wolf had decided to face his blood covered body to the shaking little girl on the snow. And once again, Haemin had moved more backwards as the wolf had slowly moved its way towards her like what the beast did. But compared to the other, it wasn’t baring his teeth at her but instead, it only silently moved towards her.

When Haemin’s back hit something hard, she knew she had no way out. Staring blankly and fearfully at the animal in front of her, Irene’s words then suddenly downed unto her as it clouded her whole mind.

"If ever something bad happens, you run. You're going to sprint yourself out of their like your life depends on it, becuse honey it actually does."

How can she run when it looked like she had nowhere to run to, the big wolf had already made himself stand right infrot of the shaking little girl. No spaces were evident in the area for her to run to. Then reality was biting her up, it happened and now she had to face this situation. As fearful and as cruel as it sounds, she needed to.

And honestly, she really did feel like little red riding hood. But no, she wasn’t visiting her grandma nor was she visiting someone at the moment. It was her own free will to lurk around this dark forest and that where she knew that no matter how silent and relaxed one night is, there’s always a bad thing that could happen. May it be big or may it be small.

Closing her eyes, she then accepted reality as she knew she was going to die in a gruesome way as how the beast had. Saying her last prayers to everyone that she knew, she waited for the pain to shot in right at her. But as she waited, that pain never came. Scared to even open her eyes, she still waited. But knowing that nothing was coming, she then hesitantly let out a shaky breath. She was about to open her eyes when a sound had stopped her from doing so.

“Hey, you okay?”

Right when she heard someone speak, her eyes hot open as there stood in front of her was a half- man covered in blood from his mouth down to his bare torso. She blinked up at him, seeing that the unknown man was staring down at her curiously. Very slowly, the male had slowly reached down to offer a hand to her. But she was too scared to even reach out her own, she even flinched when the man had moved to reach out.

Noticing her actions, the man then let out a sigh before placing his hand back to his side. Bending down on one knee as he continued to eye the shaking girl. He tilted his head, examining each and every part of the person in front of him but as he did, his nose scrunched up.

“You’re human.”

He simply stated as he rose up from his place, still looking down at the girl. Haemin had her eyes wide open at his sudden statement as confusion washed inside her again. And then it hit her, the potion that Irene had let her drank had probably worn off as it let her human scent be known to super naturals, even for this man in front of her.

“Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you.” Letting another sigh, he reached down for her once again and this time, the girl had shakily reached out to accept his hand as he gently and effortlessly lifted her up from the ground. Once she was on her own two feet, he then immediately pulled away as he cleared his throat.

“You okay?” He asked again, looking away from her as he crossed his arms over his blood stained chest which the girl couldn’t even look at as she had a phobia for blood right after the tragic accident of her parents. Nodding her head a bit, Haemin then looked down as silence overtook them once again. The male then looked down at the girl, slowly reaching out a hand at her before speaking.

“My name’s Hyunjin.”

“You what?!”

With an excruciating sigh, Haemin slumped down on the bed before her as she tried blocking the shrieking yells the latter in front of her had been letting out. Getting the nearest pillow, she covered her face with it after as she heard another scold from the pinked haired girl as the others were just probably laughing or keeping silent, as that what’s what she had seen before blocking her sense of sight.

Being Irene and knowing that she immediately had a soft spot for people in need, especially the girl in front of her, she then released another sigh before setting herself beside Haemin as she pulled the girl in a warm embrace, soothing her back in the process. “Next time, don’t wonder off by yourself again, got it?” Haemin nodded her head the concerned command before both of them pulled away when someone had cleared their throat.

“So? If you guys are done having your girly bonding time, I guess this is probably my scene where I need to go and leave you all be.” The wolf said before rolling his eyes which made him earn a smack from the little one beside him, turning to the side as he looked down to see a glaring purple headed nymph.

“Yah oppa! Why are you so mean?!” She started to pout, stomping her feet like the little girl she was before she stuck out a tongue at the male. Gawking at her childish actions, Hyunjin rolled his eyes again as he started to make his way to the door but stopped on his tracks as soon as a thought had come over his mind. He then faced Yeri before reaching out to pull the girl with him by the forearm.

“On the second thought, you are coming with me because mom is probably looking for you. Correction, she’s been looking for you for a whole month now and lying to her is pretty much not a good thing for a feline like her.” Hyunjin said before both of them had successfully made it out of the small cottage.

Pulling out from the latter’s hard grip, Yeri then sent him another glare before she turned around to face her unnies who were now standing in front of their house with an amusing expression as they eyed the little interaction between the siblings. Rolling her eyes, Yeri then let out a light wave before she turned back around to face her brother but this time, he was already in his wolf form.

Both Yeri and the wolf boy H
