No mixing IC/OOC. If you are having issues, we recommend that you take a step back and try to separate yourself from any drama that may be happening within the RP. (More on this later.) If you need us, the admins are happy to chat with you to discuss ways to help you.

Drama. What RP isn’t complete with a touch of drama? Okeanos is meant to be a happy, uplifting RP but we all understand that perfection doesn’t make for a very good story. However, ALL drama must be agreed upon by all parties it may involve. Remember that this is a hobby and you never know what people are going through in their daily lives. Please be considerate of this and think about how your drama may be affecting others.

Faceclaims. We accept all idols within the Asian Industry. FCs must be and muns must be . If we find out that you have been lying, you will be removed from the RP. The list of FCs you will be unable to play is listed on the Masterlist.

. There will be an optional group within the RP. There may be triggering content posted in this group and if any of it bothers you, you are welcome to leave it at any time. If you have a question about whether or not a post should be posted on the main timeline or , the admins are always happy to make that judgement call for you.

Harassment. We shouldn’t even have to say this, but we will. No harassment under any circumstances. If anyone is making you feel uncomfortable, please seek out an admin to report it. We operate on a three strike system. If someone reports you THREE or more times, we will remove you from the RP. Each report will be investigated and discussed between admins before decisions are made. If admins feel that the infraction is severe enough, we may kick without waiting for the third strike. We will only do this to protect our RPers. Your protection is our top priority. Admins reserve the right to kick you without need to explain why. We are not obligated to do this.

Usual Taboos. No goddmodding, bubble RP, metagaming, etc. If you are unsure what these usual taboos are, please come see an admin or send in an ask.

Relationships. Everyone loves romance, let’s face it. A lot of people join RPs like this one to find their muse a partner and create some cute (or not so cute) romance plots. However, just like every RP, we have some rules about this. All relationship types and ualities are welcome here. You are welcome to ship within groups. You are welcome to get married and pregnancies are allowed (no mPreg). There is a TWO (2) week dating ban. Please consider realism here. Getting engaged right off the bat is fine, people do that irl. But things like pregnancies take time. We will allow moving couples.

Applying. You are allowed ONE (1) muse upon joining. There is a one week wait period before we will allow you to apply with a second and then another week before allowing a third. You are allowed a maximum of THREE (3) muses, a fourth being allowed with admin approval. Please make sure that your name is romanized (i.e Lee Jaeyoon). If you can’t change this, we will remove you from the RP.

Joining. When you are approved, we ask that you add the admin account Cordelia and Ceto and create a group chat with both. Any additional muses need to be added to this one group chat. Please don’t add them until you’ve been approved or they won’t add you back! After adding both admins, you will be invited to join Social, Arrivals, Departures, Announcements, Secrets, The Depths (), and OOC. You will have 48 hours to post your introduction post into the Social group, please include enough information so that other muses can make comments! When making your profile, please include 🌊 or 🐋 in your City section!

Activity. You are expected to be active within the first 48 hours of joining. If you are not, you will be removed and must reapply. We expect one post per week minimum. Our activity check happens the first of every month and you will have the entire month to complete the check. For the check, please comment on one muse’s post. Comment that muse’s name on the AC post in Announcements. 

Literacy. This is a semi-literate/literate RP. You are welcome to RP however you wish, but the expectation is paragraph RPing with decent literacy in Private Posts. 

Group Chats. Group chats can be a very chaotic place with enough people talking in them. Please do your best to include everyone who would like to talk. We do not allow spam (pictures, text, or big # text). A picture here or there is fine, but send multiple pictures within a short time span really makes it hard to hold a conversation and can snuff quieter voices out of the conversation. p@ssw0rd is oceania. If an admin notices this, they might just pop in to give everyone a reminder to be kind and talk to everyone! Muses who consistently spam will be removed (Because at that point it’s no longer a mistake but intentional.)

Hiatuses. You can take a hiatus at any time for any number of muses. Unless we have reason to suspect something, we will not ask you to explain why you need a hiatus. Semi-Hiatus lasts 2 weeks and a full lasts one month. You must check in after your hiatus ends or we may remove you from the RP. Extensions may be granted provided it is discussed with an admin. For two weeks after coming back from a hiatus, you will not be allowed to take another without discussing it with an admin. If we find out that you are using hiatuses to avoid Activity Checks, you will receive a strike and may be removed from the RP. 

Leaving. We understand that things happen. Muse is lost or you just aren’t liking the community, and that’s okay! Please message an admin before you leave both on mewe and via the tumblr. (This way if you delete your account, your messages to us won’t go poof!)

Guidelines 

Emojis. We recommend that you emoji your own post with FOUR (4) emojis. We promise it’s not embarrassing to have to emoji your own post and you’ll find that you get tons more emojis when you do this! Also, the rule of thumb is if you make a post, you should go through and emoji other people’s posts. If you have time to post, you have time to emoji and comment, so pay it forward! 

Comments. Look, we’ll level with you here. Sometimes comments can be stressful to make and sometimes it’s just hard to come up with something to say, but we promise that it’s worth it! Another rule of thumb is if you make a post, go and comment on at least two other posts! If you have time to make a post, you have time to send a few comments, so pay it forward!

Ships. Again, we’ll level with you. Everyone loves ships, OTPs that just S A I L. But, if we find that you are only interacting with your ship or group members, we will come to you and ask that you branch out. Failure to do so may mean removals, so make some friends, gosh darn it! Relationships aren’t all romantic, so try to make as many friends as you can!

DMs. In Ceto’s experience, you’re never as annoying or bothersome as you think you are. Spread DMs around like confetti! Send them daily if you can! Send them to as many people as you can! Even if it’s just hello, it can make a world of difference in someone’s day. (If you’re having a hard time making conversation, please feel free to come to an admin as we’ll help you out!)

Events. Events are completely optional! If you have an idea for an event, please reach out to an admin! We may not use your idea exactly as you give it to us, but we promise to listen and take your opinion into consideration.

Cordelia and Ceto. These are our admin accounts. Please feel free to come see them if you ever need them. For anything. Need someone to talk to about something weighing on your mind? Have a concern? Criticism? Reporting a break in our rules? Just want to say hello? They both love the heck out of you and will do their best to make your time here as enjoyable as possible!  We’re here to help you. But, on that note, please be aware that both admins are humans with jobs, personal lives, etc. Be kind and patient. We’ll do the same with you.
