Room 711, Sone Hotel, a birthday gift is prepared for you

Yoona just got home from work to see a small note attached to the door. She looked from left to right to check who sticks it but seeing no one, she just ignored it and unlocked her apartment, walking in casually and was reminded by her invitation she sent to her friends, Sooyoung, Hyoyeon, and Yuri. She checks the time and there are only three hours she needs to prepare for her birthday party. But as someone who doesn't like to cook, she simply just ordered foods and drinks through an app. She only needs to clean her living room and prepare her guest room, knowing her friends will end up drinking too much.

The foods and drinks arrived in no time which leads for her to wait for her friends.

But 8 pm sharp, an hour that passed since the meetup time she has told them, no one has yet to arrive. She had two canned beers already and has finished three spicy chicken. Not wanting to finish all the food, she called them but strangely everyone won't pick up. 

"Aish, I thought they're excited to spend a birthday with me again?" She called them one by one for the next couple of minutes but still got the same answer. To her frustrations, she almost throws the box of cake she was excited to open. But she was reminded by the sticky note and thought her friends seems setting her up for something. "These idiots." Getting up, she grabs her jacket and car keys, walked out of her apartment, and drives to the said hotel. 

But the moment she reached the hotel, her eyes slightly widened to find out it's such a tall one with 100 floors. "So this 711 is on the seventh floor." 

"Definitely, Miss." The front desk lady chuckled at her. "That room was booked, so you just have to climb there."

"Yes, thank you." Bowing, she heads to the lift and was lucky that it was empty so she can call her friend again. This time, Sooyoung answered. "What are you guys up to? Why do I have to go to this room? Aish. You can just give the gift in my apartment." she greeted her furiously.

[I don't know what you are talking about, Yoong. I am on night shift tonight that's why I wasn't able to come to your party. Mianhe. Happy Birthday by the way. Call me later, I'm curious about that too.] Sooyoung ended their conversation right away.

"Wait... so they didn't prepared this together?" Yoona's confused. She scrolls down her contact list and called Hyo this time. "Did you prepare me a birthday gift in room 711, Hyo?"

[Just when did I prepare you a gift, Yoong? You kidding me right? But anyway, I'm sorry if I didn't answer you or even come to your party. I'm at the hospital right now, looking after Grandma. Omma and Appa went home so I have to do this tonight. Happy Birthday again. I'll get you a present tomorrow, I promise. Hehehe.]

"Aigoo, so It's Yuri?"

[Maybe? She's the richest among us.]

"Fine. Send my regards to your grandma. And it's okay, no need to get me any presents." She said and ended the call herself. She let out another sigh and checks the floor number before her eyes. She's almost there but she still has time so she calls her last closest friend. "Yah, Yuri-ah, you send me the sticky note, didn't you?"

[I'm in the airport, how am I going to do that?]

"What?! What are you doing there?" She exclaimed to find out.

[I have a sudden emergency call from Busan headquarters. I need to check our site there.] Yuri explained herself. [I'm sorry, It's really a pity I can't go to your party tonight. Soo and Hyo are there, right?]

"Aish, so if it's not you, who send me this note?"

[What did the note tells you?]

"There's a birthday present prepared for me in this room. Who would do this? I don't know who besides you guys."

[Aren't we the only friends you have?] 

Yoona contemplates before she replied, "Well, I have more friends in the company I work."

[Who among there can you think will do that? To think you're such a charming and sweet person. Does anyone show interest in you? I mean, it's been three years since you broke up with your girlfriend. Think of it.]

Yoona does what Yuri says and just as she had one person in mind, she reached the seventh floor. Her heart skips a beat as her hold over her smartphone shakes while walking out of the lift and she was greeted by petals of red roses all the way to Room 711. "I think I know now."

[Who?]

"Our... team leader." She nervously guesses.

[Oh, Seo Joohyun, the lady boss that always scolds you? Good luck, Im Yoona.]

As soon as the call ended, she her back in an attempt to return to the lift but for strange reasons, it won't open no matter how much she pressed the button. "Yah! Get me out here!" she furiously shouted as she stomps her feet on the floor.
