"Mina who's the guy? And why would you even let him go near our daughter?"

Chaeyoung was surprisingly calm while asking those questions. She wanted to skip with joy because it seems like Chaeyoung was really being true to her words when she said that she'll try to control her temper. Mina doesn't even know what to feel at that exact moment. But.. she was ready to tell Chaeyoung everything.

"Baby can we at least please sit down?" Mina asked in full worries when she saw Chaeyoung massaging her temple. "And just calm down, okay? I'll explain everything"

Chaeyoung stared at her blankly and sighed before marching towards the couch and sat down. Mina went to their kitchen first to get Chaeyoung a glass of water before sitting beside her.

"Drink first" She said as she pass her the glass and Chaeyoung quietly oblige. "Okay baby, I'm gonna explain everything and just listen. But first thing first, can I ask you something?"

Chaeyoung nodded and played with the glass on her hand. "Okay. What is it?"

"Chaeng, do you trust me?"

"What kind of question is that?" her brows furrowed.

Mina sighed and held Chaeyoung's free hand. "Just.. answer me. Do you trust me?"

"Mina, of course I trust you. And you know that"

Mina nodded and smiled in relief. She heaved a big sigh and continued on staring at Chaeyoung's eyes. "First, I just want to say that I didn't let any stranger be near our daughter, okay? It just happened that he saw us and helped Maddie. That's all"

Chaeyoung just stared at her, waiting. As if signaling her to continue what she's saying. "Maddie ran to me that day and told me about an uncle who helped her reach her jelly. Chaeng baby I swear.. I also didn't know who it was at first-"

"Mina.." Chaeyoung stared at her coldly that it made shiver down her spine. "Quit beating around the bush. I was just asking who it is. Mina who the is this guy?!"

Ah. Here it is. Chaeyoung and her anger issues. All Mina could think about. Long gone are the calm Chaeyoung. How fool of her to think that she could already control her temper? But despite all of that, Mina couldn't still help but to gulp in nervousness. She still had to say who it was.

"Chaeyoung.. It's..." Jackson. But before she could even say the name, Mina's phone rang. Which truly startled the both of them or rather pissed Chaeyoung more.

Mina couldn't ignore the call, it was her sister. She saw how Chaeyoung leaned back on the sofa and closed its eyes while covering it with her left arm. Mina could only sigh while staring back and forth at her phone and her wife.

"Baby..." Mina softly called her. Phone still ringing. "It's Jihyo unnie.."

"Just ing answer it Mina. My head is aching so bad, I'll sleep already" her wife's last words to her before Chaeyoung left and entered their bedroom.

Mina quickly pressed the answer button as she stared at the slammed door. "Hello, Jihyo unnie?"

"Hey Minari.. I just called to say that we're already boarding in ten minutes"

"Oh unnie, I'm so glad that it's really real. You're really coming back home.." Mina couldn't hide her happiness. It's been a year since they last saw each other.

"Yeah.. I guess it's just the perfect time. Wait Minari, hang on.. Hyewon can you please carry this one bag of your sister?"

"Mom it's too heavy!" Mina could hear Hyewon's voice on the other line.

"Just do it Kang Hyewon. We're already leaving" Mina could hear noises from stuffs being ruffled. "Mina we need to board now, I need to hang up"

"No worries, unnie. We'll be seeing each other again in a bit"

"Yes, I think we'll be there by ten in the morning"

"Alright.. Chaeyoung and I will be picking you up. Safe flight, unnie" 

After the call ended, Mina was about to go to their room when Maddie peak at her door. "Mommy?" 

Mina turned to look at her and got worried because of her sad voice. She walked towards her and they both sat on the bed. 

"Hey, bub.. why are you still awake? Are you okay?" 

"It's just that.. mommy did you and mom fight about the uncle we met?" Maddie was playing with the hem of her dress. She then looked up at Mina with those puppy eyes shedding with tears. "I'm sorry, mommy" 

"Hey, hey.. why are you sorry? Don't cry baby, it's okay" Mina cupped both of her cheeks and wiped the tear that escaped on her beautiful eyes. 

"I'm sorry mommy I know that I promised you to not tell mom about the uncle" 

"Love, it's okay.. don't cry about it, you've done nothing wrong. It's mommy's fault because I forgot to tell mom so she got a little mad but I promise, tomorrow we're already okay" 

Maddie nodded and sniffed. Mina tucked her onto her bed and lay beside her until she fell asleep. She entered their room and it was already dark and just dimly lit by the lamp shade on the bedside table. Mina got on the bed and back hugged the already sleeping Chaeyoung, who's silently snoring. 

Mina couldn't help but to think about so many things. She could've just told directly everything to Chaeyoung and now, she felt really bad knowing that her wife slept with these unanswered questions. I promise to make it right tomorrow. 

They all woke up early the next morning since Incheon Airport was a little bit far from their house. Mina had to make sure that they're already there before Jihyoband the kids arrive. The drive to the airport was quiet but it was the comfortable one, which Mina was glad about. Chaeyoung doesn't even brought up the topic about last night, they even had a peaceful breakfast together. 

Mina wants to tell her for once and for all but she's also too afraid that she'll ruin the day. She doesn't want to be this day be aboit them fighting, rather than celebrating because her sister is finally back. Mina had decided to just tell Chaeyoung about it later when they finally gets home. 

Chaeyoung parked outside the airport. Mina glanced over Maddie at the rear view mirror but their daughter is sleeping. 

"Babe.." she called out and Chaeyoung quickly turned to look at her. "Maddie's sleeping. Should we wake her up or wait a little bit?" 

Chaeyoung looked over her watch before answering Mina. "Let's just wait for her to wake up" Mina nodded in response. "I'll just buy us a hot pack. It's freezing outside, wait for me here" 

The moment Chaeyoung returned, Maddie was already awake. She put the hot packs on the pocket of Maddie's coat and did the same for Mina. Their eyes locked and Mina smiled at her wife, her heart fluttered when Chaeyoung also smiled in return. The three of them walked hurriedly inside the airport and sat at the waiting area.

Ten minutes past ten, and they're already waiting at the arrival area. Passengers flock out and Mina was so busy roaming her eyes trying to find her sister from the crowd. When she saw her, she waved frantically trying to caught her attention. And when Jihyo saw her, it smiled widely and pointed Mina to her kids.

"Minari~~"

"Jihyo unnie I missed you so much!" they hugged each other tightly.

"Chaeyoung! Long time no see" she also hugged her and Maddie. "Hello little princess, you've grown up so much"

Mina and Chaeyoung also hugged Hyewon and Sujin, when their greetings were over, they already walked to the parking lot. Maddie and Sujin was already holding each other's hand while playfully skipping while Hyewon was just cooly walking with his earphones on.

"Do I drop you all off at your mom's house or do you still have somewhere to go?" Chaeyoung asked as she drove away from the airport.

Mina looked back at her sister on the back seat. "Where should we go unnie?"

"I think we should just go straight at mom's. The kids are quite tired too"

Chaeyoung nodded and quickly changed the location on the GPS.

"I'm so excited to see mom's reaction when she'll saw you and the kids" Mina uttered excitedly.

"I bet she's gonna be half happy and half mad or worse.. will freak out" the sisters laughed at that thought.

After hours of driving, Chaeyoung already pulled up at Taeyeon's front porch. She quickly went outside to help them carry the luggages. They were still unloading Jihyo's stuff when the door of the house opened and a shocked Taeyeon was seen.

"Oh my God!" she almost ran towards where they were. "Jihyo! You're really here... and oh my grandkids"

"Mommy can we please go inside first?" Jihyo asked almost laughing.

"Surprise mommy!" Mina teased but she just received a smack from her mom. "Ouch mom!"

"I don't know what to do with the both of you! You keep on ganging up on me to play this kind of tricks" Taeyeon nagged as they went inside. "You even dragged Chaeyoung with your antiques"

Chaeyoung chuckled and put the luggage at the living room. "It's okay mom. Not a big deal at all" but Taeyeon just scoffed.

It's already lunch time and they are all starving. Luckily, Taeyeon prepared enough food for all of them even though she had no idea that they'll be arriving. After eating, they stayed at the table to have some chit-chat. But the kids are already gone and minding their own businesses.

Hyewon was already holding his iPad and playing some online games. While Maddie and Sujin, as expected, was already bothering the sleeping Mochi. Mina and Chaeyoung couldn't help but to adore and laugh at their daughter because they know how excited it is to let Mochi meet her cousin, Sujin.

"Baby, look at Maddie.. I've never seen her this hyper" Mina whispered at Chaeyoung.

"Yeah right.. I just hope she'll stop bugging us about getting a puppy"

"So Jihyo, why the sudden going back to Korea? And where is your husband? Where's Daniel?"

Mina quickly turned to them upon hearing her mom's question. She looked at her sister, worried of what she's feeling right now. Mina felt Chaeyoung held her hand under the table before it stood up and joined the kids at the living room. Mina knew that it's her wife's sign of exiting from whatever conversation might happen, because Chaeyoung always respected their family matters.

"Jihyo.. Mina.. what's happening? This isn't just another surprise right?" Taeyeon's brow were already furrowed.

"Mom can we please at least let Jihyo unnie rest? Before we explain everything"

"What's there to explain?" Taeyeon was already crossing her arms. "I just knew you were so suspicious for cleaning their rooms. Oh these kids, you're going to be the death of me"

"I'm sorry mom I just can't say it but please let's let her rest first-"

"No Mina, it's okay" her sister interrupted and smiled at her before turning to look at her mom. "I won't elaborate things yet mom but I just want you to know the main reason why I'm here with the kids. Daniel and I, we.. brole up"

"What?! What kind of nonsense is this Jihyo?!" Taeyeon's voice was getting loud that Chaeyoung and even the kids turned into their direction.

"Mom.. not now please. The kids are here" Jihyo held her mom's hand while quietly uttering those words.

Taeyeon was still upset and confused but she understood. Mina left the both of them at the kitchen and went to the living room but Chaeyoung wasn't there.

"Hey bub.. where's mom?" she asked Maddie who's playing dolls with Sujin.

"I don't know mommy.."

"Aunt Mina I saw her went outside" Sujin answered while smiling.

"Thank you, Sujin" Mina smiled and ruffled her hair and got up to look for Chaeyoung outside.

Mina saw her standing at the garden, talking someone on the phone. She waits for her to finish and when Chaeyoung finally turned around, her face was kind of uneasy.

"Everything okay babe?" she asked as soon as Chaeyoung was near her.

"Yeah it's just that.. are you okay of sleeping here tonight?"

Mina creased her forehead but still nodded. "Yes, no problem. I think Maddie would like that too. But why? Are you going somewhere? Something came up with work?"

"No love.." Chaeyoung held Mina's arm. "It's just.. uh, Somi.."

Mina tried hard not to sound bitter and jealous. "Why? What happened to her?"

"She got into a little accident and she's in the hospital right now"

Mina felt a little guilty and kind of worried. "Oh my.. is she okay now?"

Chaeyoung sighed and looked straight in her eyes. As if pleading her to understand whatever she was about to say.

"Kinda baby.. but the thing is, she's alone at the hospital. Yeri can't go because she's on a family trip right now and you know right? Somi doesn't have a family here in Korea, they're all in US. She's basically living alone.. "

"I know, Chaeyoung. I completely understand.." Mina stared at her, trying to conceal her emotions. "Just say it"

"Somi asked if I could stay with her tonight. She said she's scared" Chaeyoung caressed Mina's cheek. "Baby.. is it okay if I go?"

They were both filled with silence. Only just staring into each other's eyes. Mina took a deep breath and smiled.

"Of course.. it's okay"

But you should've known that it was never okay..
