Irene and Seohyun, the CFO of D’SIGN Group, are reviewing the monthly financial reports of their company. Irene is satisfied with the report from her CFO. She rarely makes mistakes in her report and Seohyun also leads her team perfectly. She is one of the most trusted staff in the company. Irene will never trade Seohyun with something else because the CFO handles the finance of her company very well. She never regrets giving Seohyun a high salary and gives her a generous amount of bonus every year because she deserves it. Seohyun used to complain that she got a really huge amount of bonus but Irene said that is the only way for Irene to show her gratitude for her. Not only that, Irene also gives a unit of Audi RS6 and an apartment unit for Seohyun.

Irene is really generous to her staff especially when their project gains huge success. That is the reason she is loved and really respected by D’SIGN staff. Despite her cold image, she also has a kindest and angelic heart. She really cares about her staff welfare. Every year she will send her staff to overseas trips and make sure everyone enjoys themselves to the fullest. “Recently I received an investment report from the CIO of D’SIGN Investment. I found out that the outflow of money is very high for 2 months in a row. However, the capital return is low. I haven’t asked them about it because I am still reviewing their report. I wait for this month report before call the CIO to have a talk”

Irene focuses on what Seohyun just told her. Her face obviously shows that she is puzzled. “Do you know where that investment goes?”

“The highest amount was invested in BHT Construction. There are few companies in the list but on top of everything is BHT. I suspect something is not right in this investment. It exceeds the amount that we set for every investment. They also do not discuss with us before increasing the amount. I want to take action but I need to talk to you first regarding this matter”

The CEO nods her head “We will take action but let’s investigate BHT first. I also feel like something is going on. If this continues, DI will suffer huge losses”

“You’re right, we should take action before they go too far”

Then Irene called Eunji to her office. Her PA appeared immediately in the boss office. Irene give the file to Eunji for her to read

“Wow, what with this investment? They are very different from other companies. Is BHT Construction facing bankruptcy that DI need to invest that much?” Eunji react after reading the report

“That’s why I want you to investigate. Find out about BHT and what makes DI invest that much for them. I want report in 3 days”

Tonight Irene forcefully went to the restaurant after receiving a call from her father. Currently she sits between her family and Taehyung’s family. Her parents and Taehyung’s parents are talking happily. That guy also looks happy tonight and Irene feels disgusted. She does not hesitate to show that she dislikes this meeting. She does not even smile at them. Seulgi wants to help her again but she resists. She don’t want to risk him again, not when her parents is there

“Joohyun, we have dinner tonight because we’re talking about your engagement with Taehyung” Mr. Bae said cheerfully

Irene sighs then she suddenly laughs “Engage? I will engage with him?” she pointed at Taehyung

“Yes sweetie, we already discussed this and agreed to engage you with him. We also decide to hold your wedding by end of this year”

“So everyone here agrees?”

“Yes” everyone nods their head except Mrs. Bae

“That means tonight I will engage with Taehyung?”

“Sooner is better” said Mr. Kim along with his annoying smile

“Do I say I agree?” Now everyone froze as Irene asked them sternly “If I recall back, I never say I agree with this marriage idea, not to mention about engagement. Why make decisions without my consent? Who are you guys to make a decision for me?”

“Hyun, don’t be rude to elder” said Mr. Kang

“After what you all did to me, disrespect me…do you all still deserve my respect? Mirror yourself first. Don’t talk about respect if you all don’t know how to respect me” Irene scowl

Right after Irene finishes talking, Eunji enters the restaurant and approaches their table. Everyone staring at her questioningly

Eunji smirk “If I am here that means anyone who wants to talk to Irene must go through me first. She will give signal to me if she want to answer it personally and all my answer are valid no matter how important is that question”

Irene answered her father “Look at yourself before you say how mean I am to you. Do you ever think about me before making decisions that have something to do with my personal life? You know the answer, isn’t it? I know dad, this marriage is not for my sake but for you and Mr. Kim's benefit. You two are only using that useless guy to manipulate me.
